Startlingly loud opening announcements that caused me and the people in the row in front of us to literally jump up in our seats. This has happened to us over 6 times in the past year. Its literally painful to suffer through until the feature begins with its own track and levelsl. Feature sound is unmonitored and requires frequent trips to to lobby to ask for it to be made louder or quieter. Refreshments are meager for the overpriced charges. Redefines the meaning of small(a.k.a. Medium) down to miniscule. 3-D projection is murkey with poor definition. Go elsewhere for sharp crisp 3-D. Watch out for the Smuggled Snack Police.

Went in to see a movie with my kids and purchased a bunch of snacks and when I gave the guy my ticket he wanted to search my bag, he said it was their policy and he had to see if I was sneaking snacks into the movie theather, I was surprised I never heard anyone ever ask a question like that before, was so tempted to leave but he asked me to talk to his manager, he also said it was the policy, I will never go back there again. Why would I sneak snacks in when I purchased 15 dollars worth of snacks plus movie tickets. My day was ruined because employees treat customers like criminals.

If it has improved in the last few months, please correct this; but 6 months ago it was terrible "go to the movies" experience: 1. dirty 2. under staffed, but the three present (for 8 screens) were young and unskilled in retail customer service and one didnt even speak English. 3. bad sound 4. movie projector framing off (part of bottom of picture showing at top of screen) and no projectionist. Had to go out and ask the kid at the "snack bar" (see below) to get some one to fix it. 5. Snack bar: ick. dirty, stale and unpleasant.

We have been going to this theater off and on for that past 17 years. They have made some improvements to the seating. The food available is not exactly fine cuisine but its a movie theater not a restaurant. Yes we did have an issue with temperature and having to go out to the lobby to ask someone to start up the movie. There is room for improvement. They need to offer some gluten free options for kids and also adults with gluten issues.

To Everyone whos complaining about not being able to bring in outside food or drink: have you gone to a movie theater before? There are no theaters that allow outside food. And as far as the person saying that if your kid is allergic to the food theaters provide, you dont need to eat during a film. This theater is great. Great prices, quality, and staff. Close by, comfortable, not crowded like Danbury, and the movies run all the way through without breaking down like they used to do. Oh, and one other thing they have over Danbury... the commercials at the beginning do not go on, and on, and on...... Its not classy but it gets the job done. Dont expect a Lexus experience. If you like Subarus, youll be happy.

I love going to the movies here. Its fun easy and simple. While the theaters are little small they are usually clean and quiet. The $5 Tuesday is the best time watch a movie. Only complaint is that the popcorn tastes a little burnt sometimes but its rare. Overall great cinema

well when the movie starts it doesnt get as dark as I thought and like it to be. And also u cant bring your own drinks or your own food or candy what if your child is allergic to their stuff. I think our kids should be safe and happy.

I think I was there once. From what I remember, it was a great theater. I love smaller theaters. Just an FYI: Downing Film Center, Newburgh is cool, too. And they let you bring in your own food and drink, including alcohol!

Its a very nice theater. Highly recommended. DO NOT use their online ticket website. You WILL have to get on a line and PICKUP the tickets you payed for online,( dont forget your credit card for verification).

Great local cinema. Have new movies and a good selection. Place is clean and has a variety of snacks. Not the largest theatre but unless you want to drive 20+ min you wont find larger or better.
