Setting the standard for movie theaters in the area. When Marquee opened a few years ago, they put all other local movie theaters to shame, and still do. Their digital projectors have stunning quality and the sound systems are top notch. A lot of theaters are adopting this trend of eat-in, and selective seating with electric recliners, etc. I dont want to have to reserve my seats for a movie - I just want to watch the movie in considerable comfort! Marquee does that just fine. Marquees seating is spacious and has a good amount of leg room. Im a big guy, and have never felt cramped - even in a sold out showing. The armrests go up, so you could spread out if its not a packed theater, or to hold your honey close without the obstacle. The floors are rarely ever sticky or gross - the theaters are overall very well kept. Bathrooms are clean as well. Recently, they have added flashback movie nights, which I think is an outstanding feature. Being able to watch old movies again on the big screen is a great treat. All in all - you really cant beat Marquee to catch a flick. Pair it with something from one of the adjacent eateries - everything from burgers and pizza to burritos and Chinese - and youve got a great day ahead of you.

Basic movie theater. Movie tickets are on the cheap side.(There is a coupon at bubbakoos, buy 2 entrees get 2 tickets.) Concession is expensive $20 for large popcorn, two drinks. $12 for medium popcorn, medium drink. The large comes in a bag. Big enough to share but one person could easily finish it. They do not have seating reservations so get there early. The seats have a slight lean to them, 10° of rocking. No reclining seats! They do have alot of cushion. Outdated. The theater can use a facelift to compete with other more advanced theaters. Screen was large and clear. There was not a bad seating option.

This has to be the cleanest and most comfortable theater I have been in for years. From the cheery decor to the cozy seats, it says "fun" even from the outside. There is just nothing negative to say about it. Another poster is right--not a bad seat in the house. Also, for a theater, they sell "packages" of popcorn and soda along with candy bars. Though still pricey, my hubby paid $9.50 for his usual fare compared to $14.00 at other theaters. We are new to the area and didnt know what to expect. Do not hesitate to see a movie there. Highly recommend!

Much better than the AMC theatres around me, I drive 20 minutes past my towns AMC theatre. Marquees popcorn is much better and not soggy like AMCs, cause Marquee pops it right behind the counter! If im gonna pay $10 for popcorn and soda it should be fresh and not popped in some back room and stored in 30 gallon garbage bags, (yes AMC I mean you!) Marquee has stadium seating, bigger screens, and better digital quality. Not the best theatre Ive been to, but its pretty damn good! Parking can be tough to find especially on weekends.

This theater shows all the big movies. They also have flash back days. They show great older movies that were block busters at discount prices. This month they are showing Jaws, Indiana Jones, The Princess Bride, and a couple more. Every month they switch the movies so you can see these great movies on the big screen again! So much fun and, lets face it, better than watching them on TV. Seeing the shark come up by the boat or the huge round Rock coming down towards Indie ON screen is the real way to watch.

The cinema its okay. Chairs are not recliner seats. You have a fair amount of foot space. Not sure about the concession stand as I didnt bother to buy anything because the line was very long at the time we went. What I do like about the cinema is that they offer summer movies for the family for free. Its a good perk for a day you want to stay in when its to hot out. Overall a nice visit.

Nice theater with great seats. I have to agree with the other reviewers, the staff (especially at the concessions) are incredibly slow! I was there this week and there was 5 people behind the counter (and in their break room behind the concessions) and there were only two waiting on people. Management should not let them take breaks ten minutes before three people are going to start!

best movie theater around ocean county+...foods good and not to pricey, great seats, clear screens, doesnt smell like( AMC old ass seats)..ewwwww..cant stand that. we need more theaters like marquee..amc has not updated there theaters in years...and there food is way over priced...plus it sucks..if you want the best movie experience around ocean county go to marquee.

I only go to this theater cause its in walking distance. AMC is such a better experience. This place is old style and attempting to call it retro but its not working. Please get with the times or get out of business. Also your employees look miserable in their 80s themed costumes. Let them have some dignity. 10/10 would celebrate if ever bought out by AMC

Best movie theater within 20 miles. Hands down. Theres stadium seating so its rare that you have a persons head in front of you kind of problem. High quality digital projectors and great sound. Always kept clean. There are some that are better, (Freehold AMC) but they are way too far away and not worth the travel time to me.

A once standout theater that was considered ahead of its time, Marquee has remained stasis as other theaters in the area improved. Still, a good place to watch movies where you dont have to worry about finding teens chainsmoking cigarettes outside the front door or step on day-old cotton candy on your way to your seats.

This is one of my favorite movie theaters to go to in the area. The prices are cheaper than the AMC and BowTie cinemas, and the staff is excellent. They also have stadium seating, comfortable seats that recline a little, and very nice projects and sound systems. I will go out of my way to go here with my family.

Place seems clean. I like that they have booster seats for the smaller kids. I dont like the fact that it cost us over $50 for a movie night with snacks. They should at least run specials for families, like maybe a family pack of tickets with a free small popcorn or something. Very expensive.

Theater is clean and offers comfortable seating. Staff is a little young and ridiculously slow, that the only bad part. If you plan on getting popcorn/snacks get there atleast 15 mins earlier than planned because of them. They are THAT slow. Other than that it wouldve been 5 stars.

Great place to see a movie compared to other movie theaters in the local area. The prices are the only thing that keeps me from giving it 5 stars. Seating is good. Always a good view no matter where you sit except maybe right up front. Expect a decent wait for new showings

It used to be such a nice theater but now its dingy and gross. The bathrooms especially. Last time I went to the movies, it was the first show of the day. The theater had just opened and the bathroom was already dirty, meaning it was wa never cleaned from the day before.
