As a resident of Atlantic City, I didnt have to deal with parking and other such trivialties as many who come do. I come in obly paying the ticket price, 15 dollars for a movie is not bad for IMAX standards, but many discounts are provided such as the Trop Advantage card, which is free and recommend for anyone staying at Tropicana. The discount itself is only $1 but a little known fact is it counts toward comps! Seeing a half dozen movies a year is enough to get many free room and concert and I didnt spend a dime gambling. On to the IMAX itself. You get what you get. Its an IMAX ajd its kept clean and at agreat temperatures in summer and winter. The prices of snacks are a bit higher than even normal theaters, but seeing as we are in AC its forgivable. The employees are polite but steict, which is a good thing I think, given the egos that breeze throughcasinos. Overall a great experience every time. I reccomend going to the first shows which are middle of the day around noon as you can cool off and unwind while the summer heat passes.

What a rip off! I took the post card deal for $59 a night with free breakfast and $20 to play slots. Get there and they tell me there are no non-smoking standard rooms so I have to upgrade to a different tower and pay an additional $20 for the night. On top of that I didnt get my $20 to play. Ive stayed there many times and each time I go back I say never again. It smells there. Like smoke and old farts. Its a maze to get in and out of. You park in the Quarter and have to hump it all the way to the south tower to check in. The pool and spa are okay until the 100 kids come in screaming. What ever happened to adult recreation. Since when do parents bring their children to a casino for vacation. I dont have kids, thats why I go to AC, theres gambling. Oh and prostitution too which Im not into. We had to upgrade to the south tower where there were about 10 hookers standing around the elevator at 11PM. At least in the west tower there are some guards around. What a joke!

Deep Halvawala

After a long time I visited imax for some 3-D experience. But, employees of imax/tropicana knows how to ruin it very well. I got kid size 3-D glasses and cold temperature giving me goosebumps in the middle of movie. After the movie, I kindly pointed out the mistake of small size glasses and neither of two employees that I talked with were sorry for it and nor paid attention to my concern. I was very hyped about the movie Antman and they perfectly ruined it for me. Now I have red eyes and stressed mind instead enjoying the night. I was planning to watch upcoming movie "Mission impossible Rouge Nation" at imax but never mind, I dont mind driving to Regal Cinemas and get better service in cheaper price.

The theater was awesome in almost every way. Clean, well decorated, great picture, awesome sound, and the service was excellent. We went to see Avatar in IMAX 3D. I was blown away by the whole experience. However, it was EXPENSIVE!!! $15 a ticket, $4.50 for the ATM machine, and $10 to park. That is not counting the cost of any food. It was an awesome experience, But in my opinion, its just not worth close to $100 for a family of four to watch a movie.

Wonderful IMAX experience. I had just gone to IMAX in Massachusetts a few weeks ago and this was not as high quality. The seats did not rumble and were highly used. The place was packed and $100.00 for 6 of us was not too bad. The staff was pushy and I realize they had a huge sold out crowd in December. Buy your tickets in advance! There are separate lines and many people were in the wrong one. Show up early...the line was long an hour before the show.

Fantastic theater! It is a TRUE IMAX theater. It also features 3D.Ticket prices are no more expensive than other IMAX theaters, and they get cheaper with various coupons or players cards after the movie has been out two weeks. The snack bar has a good selection and considering the location, the prices seem reasonable. There is a rewards card as well which rewards free tickets and snacks. Remember to get the validation for $5 parking.

3d is nice but not required. A lot of people enjoy their movies in 3d because its all futuristic and gives you more feeling into the movie. Yea Im not into that. Since theres 3d it gets more expensive for my wallet. My friends enjoy it but I dont. Its super clean but a bit pricy from the unnecessary 3d. Staff here is friendly and is supportive on where to go. Food is always expensive at a theater so not a shocker.

Great place to she IMax movies. Usually not to crowded unless it is a really popular film. Suggest you buy tickets in advance if you think it might be crowded. Located near the Quarter in the Tropicana Casino so there are plenty of places to get a bite or drink pre or post show.

This was a nice Theatre in the Tropicana, and it has a true IMAX movie. Its a very nice place to visit and watch a movie.
