READ THIS BEFORE YOU GO HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (FROM AMC Stubs Premiere Member) I went to this theater recently with my family (2 adults and 2 kids), and bought tickets online for a 11:30 am show on a Sunday. The lady at the ticket checking counter stopped us and had the theater manager come and talk to us (guy called Leo). The manager walked us to the ticketing counter and asked us to buy tickets for the 1:45 pm show instead of letting us into the 11:30 am show. Upon asking for explanation, I was told that kids were not allowed in the 11:30 am show, but they would allow them in the 1:45 pm show. I was totally confused and was not looking forward to the inconvenience of waiting about 2 hours for the 1:45 pm show. The manager, Leo, was talking to me as though he was doing me a favor. I was very confused at this time and asked for an explanation or my money back. The manager got irritated with my questioning and asked me to change my tone. I told him that I wasnt looking forward to bearing the inconvenience of coming back in 2 hours without understanding the reasoning to this madness. The manager gave us our money and asked us to leave the premises. Upon returning to my car, I called the AMC Stubs customer care folks and narrated my story. The agent told me that recently this theater had acquired a Liquor licence and AMC had started restricting the access of customers based on their age from entering the theaters. This was a total surprise to me as I had not heard of this before. The agent also asked me to view the show guidelines and small crazy grey colored icons on the AMC show listings website. I told her that I had bought my tickets through the Flixster app and that I had no idea what AMC was doing. Now, according to my understanding the AMC business folks should do the following: 1. FIX the shortcomings in the sales channels (esp. thru apps like flixster and fandango) to reflect the change pertaining to a liquor policy 2. Create awareness among the AMC Stubs member community through some kind of communication (even via a simple email) indicating the show timing based age restrictions 3. Apologize to folks who are being allowed to purchase tickets through the apps honored by AMC and then are being turned away by the theater staff. This is deplorable on both the AMC companys and Theater staffs part and should be checked as soon as possible.

I love this movie theater i have been going there since 2000 and was very please with the new dining-in experience but lately, I started to dislike the place, the food is not done right( got food poisoning after eating there twice) anyway that is not the must important part: it is the employees, the service is becoming terrible. My wife and I went there to watch LEE DANIELS: THE BUTLER. I will start by saying: WAHOO! the movie suppose to start at 5pm, it wasnt until 5:45pm after we start complaining that the manager came and stated that there is something wrong with the tape, OK i understand that we got free passes and all, but when I went to schedule the movie for the next day, the guy in customer service was rude and talking loud like we were mentally challenge and didnt understand anythine( he has no CUSTOMER SERVICE skills at all. The following day when we came back to watch the movie finally, I taught that my nightmare was over but it was just the beginning, I call for a drink, never got anyone i decided to go to the bar to get it myself, there i was amaze by the bartender, he took 25min to come ask me what i want and did not even apologize( with a total of 8 people sitting at the bar) then he left and came back 10 min later to tell me that he can not give me 2 drinks, my wife should come get it by herself because of POLICY( which I understand completely) I said " fine" then he left and came back 5 min later to tell me that as per POLICY, he can only charge me one drink that where i was like for one drink I have to listen to all this crap and deal with this attitude while the movie started already? nice I said dont worry about it and went back inside. Someone really need to talk to this people, we pay an average of $16.25 per movie and have to deal with this? another think I dicided that I will never pay with cash again rather my credit card because every time you give cash, you have to look for the waiter or waittress to get your change back and tips them. All this make me dont want to go there anymore and it is so close to me just 5 min away and I surprise myself because I never write any review on anyone, this is my first time and seing people face that day, I can just imagine what they were thinking. HOPE FOR A CHANGE

My wife and I had an absolutely AWFUL experience at this theatre. First off, we each order an entree and those entrees never appeared. Every patron around us got their orders with no problems whatsoever which puzzles me. My wife and I were pleasant, quiet during movie time, respectful. I guess that calls for bad service? So after about an HOUR of waiting for our food, we get 2 different absurd explanations from 2 different waiters explaining why we never received our order. Apparently, neither of them communicated with the other one or us until that HOUR went by. Perhaps they would have spoke up sooner if they couldnt place our meal order instead of waiting an HOUR? Seems like a reasonable request to me. So we ask to speak with the manager who is all apologetic and offers us free popcorn and as he said to us "a free movie pass for 2 years". We accept his offer and he disappears for about another 45 minutes and only shows up about 7 minutes before the movie was ending to toss us 2 passes and some popcorn without uttering another word. No sense of urgency whatsoever on his part! Hey, sorry to put you out Mister Manager but perhaps if you hired people who knew what the hell they were doing then you wouldnt be put in this situation! On top of that, he failed to clarify that the "free movie pass for 2 years" was actually a pass for (1) movie that didnt expire for 2 years. Also, the pass didnt include a free meal to compensate us for the one we didnt get AND its only good for whatever seats may be available for whatever movie is playing at that particular time. In other words, it was a half assed attempt at compensating us for a downright awful dine-in experience. Very slick. In my eyes, the manager wasnt much better than the staff. This place, the manager and the staff all stink. AMC Dine-In in West Orange will never see a penny from us again. Which is ashame for them because my wife and I love to go to the movies.

I will never ever come back to this theater. For the amount of money you spend here, its just not worth it. First of all, it doesnt make any sense that waiters start taking your order RIGHT before the movie is about to start. Secondly, the wait time to get your items is also horrible (I understand there are multiple theaters being served, however, when the ice begins to melt before I get my drink thats a NO). And the drinks were horrible. Now, the above isnt enough for me to give a foul review, HOWEVER, the customer service I received today was not to par. Our original server (wish I knew his name, but we were in row g @ the 8pm show, so him) was pretty decent. However, the waitress who served us was just, NO. Now before I explain, I will admit one of the people in my party was being a tad bit difficult. There was a party of three. Two females, one male. After the difficult behavior of one of the females, she asked the male if he needed anything else (he said no). I asked her if I can PLEASE have M&Ms and she ignored me. First she walked away, then about two steps down she came back and pressed the "call server" button and walked away again. Never said my original server will come help me or anything. Someone else came and asked me what I needed and I told her it was fine I didnt need anything anymore. The other waitress came back (without saying a word) and handed me M&Ms. I said "no thank you" and she just put them on the counter and proceeded to walk away AGAIN. I, personally, was polite to her, and dont appreciate the attitude she reciprocated. Honestly, Im not going to pay more for movie ticket, more for a half par drink, and not receive proper service. I rather go to Newark screens then hop over to Applebees.
