Just completed a 5 day stay. Hotel has been remodeled, very clean, staff is friendly. Breakfast included. I would recommend this hotel to others but like to give a clear idea of what your getting for your $ in my pros and cons area below. PROS: Prime location. 12-15 min from Water Country and Busch Gardens. Premium outlets near by. Tons of food selections in the area. Pool was clean. Rooms decent. Cleaned daily. Very comfortable beds. CONS: Had to ask for towels to be replaced in the rooms twice. Always found myself having to ask housekeeping for towels as the same with toilet tissue. Breakfast unfortunately should say first come first serve. If you go in the later part of breakfast hours you wont find much left to eat. Wifi password changes are not left in the room as in other hotels. You have to go up and ask for it. Pool towels never replaced. One they run out I would bring my own. Not enough seating by pool area. At times my daughters and I wanted to go and relax by the pool but there were only 4 lounge chairs and several other table chairs but always taken. I will say im extremely paranoid about bedbugs because Ive had so many horrible experiences and did wake up with several bites on 3 of the 5 nights but I can not say for sure that it was from that. I inspected mattress, walls, etc and found nothing. Therefore could have been a mosquito or two that slipped in the room. The cons are definitely not major issues for me but for some may not work. I stayed on the first floor near an exit and an ice machine which was a bad idea. Very noisy and busy. I didnt ask to change rooms because it really doesnt bother me considering I barely sleep anyway but if your sensitive to noise stay off the first floor. I would definitely recommend this hotel to families who are looking for a place to stay without breaking the bank. Very reasonably priced for what you get.

Negatives: the way the bathroom door opens it barely clears the front of the toilet. You literally have to walk all the way to the wall between the bathroom sink and toilet in order to close the door. Its the most bizarre lay out for a bathroom I have ever seen. And we had hairs in the bathtub upon arrival. The bathroom faucet in our room was very loose, and we couldnt get more than Luke warm water out of the sink. Also, theres a fridge and microwave (which is awesome), with a marble bar above that has the ice bucket and coffee pot (and food prep for microwaving) but its also right to the side and almost meets the door where you enter the room. Not that big of a deal, but somewhat inconvenient location. Also, we needed a roll away bed and in the middle of the night my 10 year old asked if he could sleep with us as it was so uncomfortable. He said it felt like "springs with paper on top". I wouldnt be saying anything, but they upcharge $20 a night for the roll away. We had trouble with wifi and the tv itself constantly had connectivity issues. We watched scrambled tv at best. Positives: other than the bathtub, the room seemed to be clean. The beds are comfortable. The room has a desk, dresser with tv on top, a large wardrobe and a corner chair. The a/c was terrific! Good blackout curtains. The kids enjoyed the pool and the continental breakfast was cramped, but good. Not sure that I would stay here again. Didnt hate it, didnt love it. If I could have split it right down the middle and given it 2.5 stars, I would have.

I found the Comfort Inn Williamsburg Gateway on!one. I called and made a reservation for 2 rooms and was able to get a government rate. The foyer was beautifully decorated. Each time I called, the clerk was kind and helpful. The rooms are freshly styled, bright and clean. The dinning room where the deluxe continental breakfast was served is lovely and inviting. Breakfast was very good, there were choices for everyone. Great coffee, fresh fruit, cereal, yogurt, bacon, eggs and waffles! The beds were clean and comfortable. We were only 10 minutes from Busy Gardens which made it all the more convenient. We would stay there again.

I am sitting in my room typing this trying not to cry. My back and my boyfriends are completely destroyed from the terrible beds. I asked the front desk for more mattress pads and they never brought any. The next time I complained they just told me I could check out early. The beds are the worst Ive had in a long time and with no support from hotel management to remedy the issue, this has been a really painful few days. I realize I am not paying for luxury, but I should be able to walk when I wake up. I will never come back to any Comfort Inn or any other Choice Hotels company.

The hotel has recently been remodeled. But, it doesnt seem like they replaced any of the mechanics. One of the two rooms we booked smells like pee when the AC runs. The staff is wonderful though. All of them have been very nice and professional. They have done their best to accommodate us in other rooms. They even put all five of us in a suite and the AC doesnt even get the room any cooler than 77. Next time I hope they replace the mechanics too.

I leave the room with everything in place. I come back, I am with my roommate and when we enter the room my dirty laundry is on the floor, scattered and my roommates suitcase is sideways on the floor. His toothbrush is on his nightstand along with his toothpaste. My food bag looks like it has been rummaged through and a ziplock bag full of food is on the other side of the room. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL,IT IS SIMPLY SATANS APARTMENT COMPLEX!!!!

This was a nice place as far as budget hotels go. The property itself was clean and fairly recently renovated it appeared. There is a breakfast buffet which is usually busy and the staff werent particularly speedy at refilling items but the food was edible. The location is extremely convenient for downtown Williamsburg if you have a car and just a short drive to the other main area attractions.

Newly-renovated throughout. Clean, comfortable, tastefully decorated, etc. More than one would expect in a tourist hotel/motel. We will definitely use this facility on more trips south. The "continental" breakfast (included) was WAY MORE than that. Three hot dishes plus a waffle-maker. Go for it!!

I must say its a very clean and nicely remodeled hotel, we were placed here for a timeshare resort meeting and didnt have a pick in hotels so for that Im extremely happy with the cleanliness and updated feel, beds were soooo comfy and for the price you CAN NOT beat it! So close to all attractions.

Just leaving after a 3 day stay, it was a nice, clean and well kept property. Convenient location for us. Shopping and Colonial Williamsburg close. Breakfast was typical Comfort Inn standard. Nice large room. Pool also nice with shares and sun. Would stay again.
