The actual worst theater in Roanoke. Way overpriced and terrible service. After getting to the movie early and selecting seats, the lights dimmed and the previews started. A worker then came in and began to yell that everyone needed to scoot in towards the middle so they can sell more tickets and so a family of 4 could sit together. When my family was late to a movie we knew we would have to sit separately. It is beyond rude to interrupt and inconvenience other patrons who made it on time for those who did not. Also halfway through the movie the light in the projector room came on and remained on which was very disruptive. And on top of all that their seats are so old that they make the most obnoxious squeaking noise whenever anyone moves. Do not waste your money here. After multiple bad experiences here I am officially done giving this place chances after todays events.

We tried to see "It," but there were, and I counted, over twenty CHILDREN in the audience. My god. Who lets 20 eight year olds in to see It? We didnt pay to see Finding Nemo (though given anyones psychological hangups with abandonment, if MAY be the scarier film), we paid to see a horror flick eating expensive pop corn without our seats getting kicked or our nerves tested. And not only did the pre-pubescent little prigs occupying all 3 rows behind us talk nonstop during the movie, but when we talked to the staff they shrugged and said "yeah, their parents buy them tickets and then leave." So, look, if you want to watch a movie with grown-ups, without having to thank the guy next to you for ALSO saying, "hey kids, quiet down" this isnt the place. If, however, you want a trial-run for that new blood-pressure medication-- my friend, have I got a theater for you.

Wayyyyyyyyyyyyy to expensive, I always go to Tanglewood. Even though is father away, doesnt matter, valley view prices, dont make sense. Those are big city prices. Ive been here going on 2+ years, came from NYC, and those are the prices they charge there. The only reason I would ever go to valley view is because the movie isnt playing anywhere else, so I have no choice. I like the old fashion outside look, and the lazy boy sofas chair, but will make you fall asleep the minute you sit in them. Also like the big screen. But like I said, for a town this small, the prices are wayyyyy to high, and I always sneak in my snacks, at every movie theater, unless its $6 dollar Tuesday at tanglewood mall. Were you get popcorn, drink, candy for six dollars. Sorry valley view, cant get around your prices. Pretty theater though.

The staff was very rude. While the movie picture was fine, the sound quality was AWFUL! The floors were dirty. My FAV part of the movie is the popcorn and it was STALE and cold. Thats VERY unacceptable! When I pay $50 total dollars to go to a movie I am expecting much better. The prices charged are completely OUT OF CONTROL to put it nicely. There is NO reason to charge such ridiculously high prices for a medium experience! My popcorn price SHOULD have been refunded! I dont see any reason to ever go there again. Im very very disappointed and upset about how much we spent compared to the experience and treatment. Its sad for such a beautiful place to be so horrible.

The staff was extremely pleasant. I have a heart condition that does not allow me to have hardly any sodium. The gentleman at the concession stand was extremely nice and called his manager when I asked if they would be willing to pop some popcorn without salt for me. It was a 7:50 showing, they had probably already cleaned the machine, but didnt hesitate to say yes. They even checked the nutrition information for me on some of the toppings they offered to see if they could add any flavor. Most are not nearly as pleasant as these two were. Thank you for letting a girl feel normal. I appreciate you more than you know!

Overall the experience would have been wonderful..IF the guy working the snack bar knew what he was doing. He asked my man twice what kind of candy hed said & this was after waiting 28min. for him to take our order. His machine might have been giving him trouble but youd think more than two people would have been at the cash registers. We literally missed the first couple min. Which are usually imperative. They did say we could get a rain church though, if the movie was too far in for us. So that was a plus!

An Incredible Theater! Years ago I use to live an hour away and would drive up every couple months to visit the theater with friends because it was such a great experience. I now live in the Roanoke area and still love it just as much. The staff are all very attentive and friendly. Just recently I was there for a demonstration and while I was there for several hours the managers and staff kept everything running like clockwork... Very impressive staff and facility. Firstly, $6.25 for a large drink... wtf?! $8.25 for a large popcorn, WTF!? Kids were there, kids were loud, went to inform Cinema Staff, did nothing. Its a monopoly. The whole thing. Your telling me if I want a drink, Im forced to either BUY YOUR drinks and snacks marked upwards to 250%, or I cant have anything at all? I dont go anymore. And its a good thing. Cause a lot of people would go with me, and when I think about what we spent combined, madness.

The movie theatre is aging and I dont see much reinvesting back in to improve the experience. The seats are getting worn pretty bad especially the arm rests, whats left of them. Generally feels dirty especially the carpet when walking around. I hope to see them do upgrades and make me feel like the ticket value is worth it. I recommend ownership go to Franks Theatre in Blacksburg then watch a movie in their own theatre.

Time for an update! The theater rooms smell like urine, the seats creak, the cloth on the seats are wearing down and tearing away, and the light for the films are extremely dark. You can barely see what youre watching! This theater has been around for more than 10 years, yet nothing has been renovated. This is one of the only theaters in the Roanoke area. It needs to be taken care of. Thank you!

A fairly nice theater, Ive had good experiences there on a regular basis. This time we saw Ninjago matinee with our nephew and the theater wasnt overly crowded/noisy and we had a nice time. The rewards program is excellent if youre in the local area as well. Being close to Valley View mall, we usually eat dinner at Chick-fil-A before hand and there are lot of other options nearby.
