Our foursome went this morning to the driving range. Weve played here several times under the previous management, and never had a problem. This morning though made it clear that this place is not worthy of a single customer. We all bought buckets of balls that cost $12 per bucket. Is there anywhere else on earth where you can go to a less than mediocre golf course, and get rear-ended like that? After we completed driving, we went to the practice green. We were there no more than 5 minutes when a lunatic drunk practically ran up to us and insulted my son. He had taken a long putt, and this crazy person told me that if there was a divot left on the green that he was going to bill me. My son left not a scratch on the surface nor did anyone else in our group. All of us have played for many years, and most of the time at top-notch facilities like Oak Quarry, etc. This guy claimed to be the owner, and tried to pitch lessons to my son after insulting him. I tried to verify if he was actually the owner, and he touted that his picture was on the wall in the postage-stamp size "club house". I guess hes too stupid to answer a question. He then claimed to have "built the place" which I know for a fact is not true, since I used to go here under the previous owner. When I returned home, I called the course to verify if he was actually the owner, and they seemed to know who he was after I told them of a "drunk lunatic running around". They replied "Oh you mean Mike, yeah hes the owner." So, if you want to pay 4X the rate for a normal bucket of balls, or attend a crappy small course next to a noisy thoroughfare with noisy single-engine planes flying over every 2 minutes, and then possibly have the joy of encountering an old wannabe pro drunk that runs around like a lunatic insulting the customers, than have at it.

I have been the shop manager for 2 years. We are on line with all prices around riverside and I.E.. Are rates are mistated you can walk 13 holes for $13.00 or wait till are night rates and pay $11.00 to walk. The reason we do not have twighlight rates are because we have a lighted golf course and the electricity bill is very expensive. You can play till 9:45 at night so my response to your comments I take personel. There is more details to running a golf course which is open from 6:00 am till 10:00 pm at night. Long days and nights then to have to read a review like that. Also would like to let you know any cheapers prices we would not be in business. For 2 years you could play riverside golf club for $16.00 at twilight and now they are bankrupt.

Have been here several times for the driving range. The first time was watched by the supervisor and employee while hitting balls and listen to the supervisor complain about having to wait for customers to finish so they can pick up balls and today showed up at 8:30pm and the supervisor said they where closed but the sign states they are open till ten. If I was the owner I would definitely look for better more responsible staff.

Played today. The good: Course was in nice condition, and was not busy. The bad: the grounds keepers asked us to leave the last hole on the back end so they could close the gates early. They approached us on the fairway. We had to end our game early. We went back to the clubhouse to report the problem and they told us sorry and come back another time. They didnt do anything about our round of golf. Not happy. Will not play again.

I play all the time at van burren its mostly all i do on my free time and every time I go everyone is very friendly and welcoming especially to new people they see. The prices are very inexpensive which makes the course even better. I absolutely love this golf course and I recommend it to anyone that wants to play a nice and relaxing game or just to have fun with friends.

This place is a dump, the greens are terrible the carts are in horrible shape and the man working the counter was extremely unprofessional and disrespectful . We played 9 holes lastnight and stopped at the 4th hole. visibility was terrible. Anyone thinking of playing a night game at here DONT DO IT save your money.

Nice friendly staff. i went for the first time and took my 3 year old son who had a blast driving some balls at the range. a bucket of balls was cheap 8$ for 100. and if you have an entertainment book you can get a buy one get one free deal. i look forward to going back soon.

I started to have fun till i seen a working girl trying to get my husband and my brother in laws attention it made me fill so uncomfortable i will never go there again and i recommend to go some where else :/
