I checked the movie schedule online, drove my son to the theater at 2 PM for 2:15 PM "guardians of the galaxy 2" (standard). At the ticket counter, the lady (ticket seller) told me that there was only 3D for 2:15, standard would be 2:45 PM. I was confused why what she said was different from the website. I asked:" Are you sure?", she said "yes". I didnt want my son to wait long time, bought the 3D ticket for 2:15 PM as the lady said. I asked how long it would last, she said "2 hours 30 mins". I went to pick up my son at 4:50 PM, 2 hours 35 mins past. I didnt see my son. I called him, no response. He still did show up at 5 PM, I called again, no response. I asked the lady who sit on the entrance for checking ticket when the movie started at 2:15 would be over? She checked and told me "there was no 2:15 PM 3D, only 2:35 PM 3D movie". I was confused completely. The lady checked with the counter lady, and told me "it should be finish at 5:05 to 5:15". I waited, but no one came out at 5:15 PM. I asked the lady at the counter, she told me "The movie was over at 5:05, it is empty, no one inside now". I was shocked, asked her" where is my son?". She didnt do anything. I called my son again, this time he answered, told me he was still in the theater, the movie had just ended. My son came out at 5:20 PM. I found out that the movie actually had started at 2:45 PM, not 2:15 PM as the ticket seller told us. I checked the ticket, it was clearly printed "2:45 PM". The tickect seller lied to us. I really dont know why she lied. Either she didnt know the schedule, or she intentionally misled us to buy more expensive 3D ticket. Either one is bad.

Accounting my past experience with an array of movie theaters, Starplex Cinemas was by far the most pleasurable. I was very pleased with the comfortable seating and adequate price (though i was a bit surprised due to my past experience with ticketing prices for theaters such as this). In addition, the common movie theater food; popcorn, soda, candy, etc., was priced quite fair and to my liking. Overall, enjoyed the comforting atmosphere. However, at one point I believed that I could have strolled in without having to pay because of the lack of attentive staff. As well as lack of maintenance in many places and seating; i.e, in between many of the seating I found an overwhelming amount of garbage and spilled liquid. I believe the staff is far from attentive in making my (or any customer for that manner) experience more delightful. That being said, I still believe Starplex Cinemas is 4 star worthy.

Arrived at 11:20PM to see a 11:30PM Movie was automatically greeted with hostility by the security officer. Box Office Closed he said you cant buy tickets because the cash register has been closed down. Looking on the website, were plenty of seats available for customers. I also explained i have a card and he said you dont have a ticket, gotta leave. But, i asked to speak to a manager. He went to the cash bar and came back saying The manager has told me to escort you out. Didnt even bother coming to apeak with me. The security then started threatening saying im not the one and you have two choices i either force you out or put you on the ground and wait for police. Definitely will never give business to this venue ever again and will make sure none of my friends or family do as well.

First of all I think the theater is great and the seats make it enjoyable. I had my four year old daughter out on our little "date night" to watch Hotel Transylvania 2. It was pouring rain when we left the theater and I didnt have an umbrella. A woman was walking in with an umbrella and heard me ask my daughter if we should run for it. She said shed walk us to my car and she turned out to be General Manager of the movie theater. Now that is outstanding. Im usually content with average service and unless you do something really bad I generally tip well, leave good comments and ratings, etc. However, this was definitely above and beyond and to top it off she thanked me for my patronage. Class act and an overall "A+" to the GM. Id return just on account of that service.

My boyfriend and I wanted to watch Logan on our spring break. We both are deaf, so we needed the closed-captioning to be available. Our initial thought on this movie theatre that it was clean and we had high hopes that accessibility would be provided since it stated that there were captioning available. However, when the captioning devices were given to us, we were assured that itd work. Alas, when the movie started, it was not working at all. Got my refund and two free tickets - however, we will not be attending AMC theatres anymore since Ive experience this kind of situation twice. Please, if you are a user who relies on captioning, this is not the place to go. Two stars for a friendly staff though.

Extremely nice seats for its price. The seats are roomy and you can change the angle of it. However, there are not many seats in one movie room anymore (about only 1/3 ish from before). So its best to buy tickets online, you will need to spend another buck or two but it ensures you to have a seat. As usual, their food is over priced and not worth it. Just bring in a snack or something to eat. Save that 16 dollars for a good meal at a restaurant nearby like Dennys or Ihop. The people working there are polite and will give you time when getting a movie ticket. They are efficient and quick. The bathrooms are in better conditions then before, quite happy they are trying to keep it cleaner then before.

We live maybe a 10 minute drive away from a Lowes movie theater but we would rather drive an extra 20 minutes to see movies at this theater. A couple of years ago, under old management, they had really good deals on movie tickets on Tuesday nights. Their new management got rid of that but ticket prices are still pretty good. They also renovated their seating so the seats are now plush and wide and reclines at a push of a button. Were also a fan of their popcorn/butter combo. Popcorn here is freshly popped on the spot, not the garbage bag of popcorn I once saw at Lowes. And - while its bad for your heart - they allow you to fill up your bag of popcorn with as much butter as you want.

Couple things I should mention about this movie theater. I will tell you that if you are in middlesex county then this is probably one of the better options. Its def better than AMC in New Brunswick on 1. I had to take a star away for the movie not playing when it was supposed to. There was 0 sound as we were the only ones in there and I had to stand up to fix this issue. There was only 1 person working at the ticket booth when I arrived. Cant say I have ever been to a movie theater where ONE person is working. The chairs were comfortable, however it could have been a little more upkept. Maybe hire another person instead of lonesome lenny in the front.
