Selection of works by the earliest artist-explorers on the plains like Audubon, Catlin, Bodmer. Works by exceptional early 20th century artists with Nebraska roots or connections like Robert Henri and Lawton Parker. Also many works by contemporary Nebraska artists of international reputation, including Jun Kaneko, Shelia Hicks, and Dan Christensen. Exhibitions change frequently. Sculpture garden. Easy to find. Plenty of fee parking. No charge for admission. Viewing takes 90 minutes or so. Best attraction in Central Nebraska.

Very interesting place to visit for a couple of hours. We enjoyed seeing the puppets by the puppeteer that worked with the Sound of Music.Especially since it is free to visit, if you are in the area and have a bit of time this is a great place to visit if you are interested in art displays.

New exhibits often and it is such a quiet place to just think things out. Used to go in College to just.. get away, now I take my kiddo there and he justs loves it.
