Simply put, I dont plan to return and I dont think it was worth my time or money. PROS: Beautiful tasting room. Beautiful back patio. Beautiful grounds. Wines didnt give me a headache. Good crackers. CONS: Horrible wines. Expensive flights. Very odd wine bottles and experience. I found out about Kieu Hoang Winery after seeing their advertisements all over Norman Y. Mineta International Airport. As a Vietnamese-American, I thought it was amazing that a Vietnamese vintner is *attempting* to make wine for the Vietnamese and Chinese population. Heck, I thought I would give it a try. I was coming to the Napa Valley to taste at Artesa Winery (fabulous place) and passed by Kieu Hoang Winery. After my tour and tasting at Artesa Winery, I arrived to Kieu Hoang Winery with two of my friends. Please note that their tasting room is in the far back with a wine bottle sculpture hanging above the entrance. The wine tasting room was absolutely beautiful. The people who did the interior design and landscape architecture had really good taste and knew how to showcase their beautiful bottles. However, what was odd was a giant picture of Kieu Hoang with a very strange quote below. It has a quote from Victor Hugo stating, "God made only water, but man made wine." Following that quote states, "Kieu Hoang can do both" ... quoted by Kieu Hoang -- a bit self serving but okay. The person who greeted us was Rhonda who was amazing, sweet, and helpful throughout the process. Before I came over, other wineries told me the drama that happened with Kieu Hoang Winery including 90% of the staff was fired and the "party" they had there was outrageous (blocking roads, telling guests to take other vineyards roads, etc.). I guess Rhonda survived. Rhonda greeted us and I told her that I wanted to wine taste. However, I was a bit taken aback by the expensive flights and how to waive it. The first flight option is $15 for three tastings waived when you purchase 2 or more bottles ($30-50 per bottle). The second flight option is $25 for five tastings waived when you purchase 2 or more bottles where at least one bottle is from the "high end" bottle ($60+ per bottle). I was going to give it a try and we all had the $15 flight. Rhonda gave us a history of the winery, why there are "bubbles" everywhere due to Kieu Hoang is a chemist, and also about Kieu Hoang being a multi-billionarie. Kieu Hoang also has a makeup product line and is building in other industries too. Overall, Kieu Hoang is well made and wanted to make wine too. I learned a lot but the only thing I found a bit odd is that Rhonda told us that its okay if we wanted to pour our wine into the plants across the patio. Last I heard was that wine stunts the growth of plants. Anyway, I poured all of them over because it wasnt really good. All in all, my friends and I dont plan to return to the place. One thing I did afterwards was read up about "Kieu Hoang" -- hes an interesting character especially with children (not grandchildren) ranging from 50 years old to 1 year old. Hope this helps!

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at this winery. Very laid back atmosphere with a beautiful tasting room and lovely patio with a close up view of the vineyards. Tasting cost was waived with the purchase of a couple of bottles. Edgar was extremely helpful and knowledgeable and very generous with his time and samples. It was a very new vineyard and seems that it continues to improve over time. We would happily return here on a another trip!

Very nice wine tasting experience. They did the tasting on the covered back patio of the building which overlooked their fields. It was a very comfortable atmosphere with an incredible view. The staff gave us a good amount of information about the wines we were tasting and were very friendly. A great place for a relaxing wine tasting experience.

Lovely location with a relaxed seating area out back with great views. Downside is the testing options compared to other wineries, what could be free elsewhere can cost $30 here. Also its a very new winery so not much heritage or history to take your interest.

Oh yes. Go if you are hesitating! Their winery and patio is a perfect collaboration where this awesome staff help you taste wine. Meanwhile they have a totally unexpected modern interior which is totally the opposite with their green green vineyard.

Very tacky winery decor and bottle labels. Terrible wines... high tannins and acidity in the Reds to the point that it was not drinkable. Would not recommend at all! Steer away from this place...

I wish the owner send me a bottle and let me walk around the vineyard
