Great place, the staff is always friendly and never lost patience even when asked the same question different ways over and over.people complain about this or that but live animals in a retail stire setting isnt like taking care of a single pet its a constant battle to keep it to people high expectations if any of the big store chains i.e. petco or petsmart dealt in a larger scale live animals i promise it would look the same.as far as "sick" or infested animals anytime you buy any animal there is a chance that is why you vet. And/or isolate the new friend for a period of times and petstores small or large take the same chances consumers do they have to go on faith and experience hoping said animal they receive is healthy and fit pet stores are not vet offices they are stores.

I went to this store to get two new rat babies to add to my family. When I got them both seemed healthy, maybe some respiratory issues which is a cheap vet bill, nothing to crazy, and something that is very common in rats. I took the home and took them to the vet two days after I had got them only to find out that they have PARASITES. Not only did they have parasites, but they also had mites and a full blown respiratory disease that they spread to one of my girls (note they were not in the same cage.) Both rats died, despite being treated for all of these things. I WILL NEVER GET ANY ANIMALS FROM HERE AGAIN.

This is where I got my hedgehog. I called them at a time when they didnt have any hedgehogs, but they kept my number and called me back as soon as a breeder sold some to them. Their staff is very friendly and helpful, and to be honest they seem to know a lot more about animals than employees at larger pet store chains like Petco. Im also impressed by their variety of pets; Ive seen animals here that I havent seen anywhere else before. Id say this is the best pet store in Bowling Green.

I went in here after going around to the other pet stores. I wasnt expecting much when we pulled in. After I went inside I was appalled. The cages were all incredibly dirty. We left after we saw two dead animals. One being a baby beardie and the other a turtle. This places does NOT need to handle live animals as they treat them terribly. Do not give this place your business.

Awesome employees, they are friendly, and always helped me and my family. They have a wide selection of fish, as well as reptiles, and lots of accessories and pretty much anything you need to provide for reptiles or aquatic life. I enjoy each experience I have visiting them to buy food for my Brazilian Rainbow Boa snake. Ill keep coming back.

Pet Central has a very helpful, courteous, honest, and knowledgable staff. They answered all of my questions and gave me useful recommendations. Decent place, but some of the pet items are of poor quality. Worker tried to tell me the bird ladders arent glued, however some fell apart and some did not. Food cups for my birds were reasonably priced. Also, the smell is absolutely rancid. They need to keep it cleaner. Otherwise its a decent place.
