Stay away! By far the least enjoyable water park in the KC area. First, we were told as we paid we were unable to take in our sons personal flotation device. I should also note we werent given a reason when we pressed for one - only that they werent allowed. We were then advised life jackets were provided and to use one of those instead. While slightly annoyed, this would not have been a big deal had we not noticed countless other children running around with non-facility provided life jackets/flotation devices. And mind you, none of the staff inside the park made any indication or otherwise that they had to use a facility provided flotation device. Second, there was not enough seating/chairs available for the number of patrons. We made our way to a pavilion in the back, only to be told some time later by a small group that they had rented it and we needed to vacate. Having some reserved signs or something denoting the pavilion is off-limits would have been an easy way to avoid this unpleasant experience. Or, you know, have more lawn chairs. The former would have sufficed in this scenario, but the latter would have been preferred. Third, all of the water parks weve visited have some form of dress code, save this location. Perhaps there is one, but it is not enforced. More than I could count, the number of persons wearing normal/casual clothes - one gentleman entering the lazy river with his socks on (literally), for one example. Just what my family likes, taking a nice relaxing dip in laundry water. Fourth, the staff we encountered were rude. Not only the lady at the register in front (the flotation device expert), but the lifeguards were incredibly unfriendly. For example, at other parks my wife or myself are able to accompany our son down the various slides as he is still learning his way in the water. We were promptly whistled at here (so fierce, that whistle), and told that was strictly forbidden - for whatever silly reason. Oh, thats right, we werent given one when we asked. Ridiculous. We were then told one of us could wait at the bottom of the slide, and one of us help him at the top. So we gave it a go, only to have our son slide sideways halfway down the slide and hit his hard rather hard; upon exiting the slide he was promptly submerged as he had lost all sense of balance. Whats more, while true I could for wait for him at the bottom, but I could not get too close to the slide exit, as we had to make sure we did not stand in the landing area denoted by a dark blue pad under the water. Oh, and do you think the lifeguard watching made any motion or inquiry about our son? Ill let you venture a guess. Safety first, right? Speaking of safety, what better way to ensure your guests feel safe than to have your security guard at the front door with his nose stuck to his smart phone. We were here for roughly an hour, and I assure you we will never be back.

This is not the 1st time we have had a bad experience at this place... I wish I could give it NO stars!!! It seems every time we go it gets worse & worse!!!! The lifeguards are LAZY!!!! Some kid jumped off the diving board with sunglasses on & they(sunglasses) fell to the bottom & a lifeguard & a manger decided it would be a good idea to challenge the kids in line to jump off the diving board & go to the bottom(12 ft) to get the glasses.. Well my son was one of the kids.. He came over to me & I noticed his eye were bloodshot so I went to make a complaint.. 1st manger just stood there with a stupid look on her face. 2nd manger same thing he just stood there. 3rd manager(Cindy the head manger) stood there & could careless... Not 1 of the mangers asked if he was okay or even asked to see who the lifeguard or manager was.. One of the lifeguards sitting in the chair by the diving board just started off into space(looking the opposite direction) the whole time she sat there, the lifeguards that walked around the pool just stood there while kids were jumping into the pool on other kids heads, a kid dived in the 5ft head 1st & he hit his head on the bottom & my kids had to help him out because the lifeguards were not paying attention, the lifeguards at the slides were not paying attention & kid was hurt there also... Needless to say this is not a place you want to take your kids!!! Its not safe & its ran by IDIOTS!!!! I will never return to this garbage place & I highly suggest if you read this post you shouldnt either!! It could be your child that gets hurt & their careless staff will look the other way... I so hope no child loses their life there!!!

Thank you Linda, for putting a bad taste in my month before I even have a chance to come to Adventure of Oasis, I dont live in town I have paid for these tickets in full for a party on Sunday and was told on the phone when I bought the tickets that I can have my mom who lives in Kansas City to pick up the tickets two days before...she stressed that it had to be picked up two days before and sign the contract and pick up the tickets and wrist band, it is Thursday two days before Sunday my mom goes pick up the tickets and now the lady is saying that she shouldve picked them up 4 days before and that she needs to talk to me on the phone to prove that I gave her authorization to pick up tickets for her granddaughter on Sunday. The issue is that Linda lied to my mom anout picking up 4 days before ans she told me a second time that it was 2 days before and also she didnt fully explain how the pick up and sign for ticket fully worked and neglect to tell me I MUST be present on the phone because she needed authorization or proof that my mom was picking up the tickets, I could of simply gave her proof by giving her with my moms phone name , address so that she can prove that by showing her ID, simple enough and proof right, now I wont be able to pick up tickets till Saturday between 1-4pm and of course Linda ensure that if I come at that time frame I will be able to pick up the tickets with no problem.....we shall see because even if my daughter has fun at this water park I wont be returning , come at me a attitude and lie you will get multiple bad reviews

First of all, this place shouldnt have the privilege of being called a water park because it really isnt. They have only 3 small slides, a lazy river, a kids play area, and a tiny side pool that fits maybe 15 people comfortably. There honestly is not a whole lot to do if youre an adult. My overall experience was definitely below average. The previous billion comments about the life guards are EXTREMELY true. The lifeguards are rude and take their job way too far. I had a lifeguard today tell me that the headband I was wearing to keep my hair back was a safety violation and I had to remove it to ride their slides. I immediately was bewildered because Ive never heard of such a ludacris rule so I asked why theres no signs or no ones ever informed me about this. She continued to tell me that those were the rules and further more threatened that if these rules werent followed she would revoke my privileges from the slides for 30 minutes like a child in timeout. Absolutely ridiculous! I spoke with management and I do truly hope for the sake of others that this lifeguard was terminated. Making threats at guest and abusing your authority is unacceptable! I will most likely never return.
