Ok here is the low down on this place. I live right around the corner from Willow Springs. I play here about once every two weeks just because its only two minutes from the house.. The good thing about this course is that its one of those easy layouts where you can come and work on your golf game. The fairways are wide open, and for the short hitter most all greens are easy to reach in regulation. The clubhouse is fairly clean and the food is pretty reasonable and good. Ok now for the BAD.... This place really needs a major management makeover!!!!! This place really gives you the feeling they could care less if you play or not. I think they have relied on their members for way too long. I have had atleast three times when im playing and I run up on the maintenance crew playing in a fivesome or even a sixsome. I know this because they are all in their work uniforms. On two of the three occasions there was a marshall sitting in a golf cart doing nothing while these guys held up group after group. Another time, myself and a buddy were going to play and I went to their website and printed a coupon. Upon arriving I realized I had forgot to grab the coupon off my printer... I nicely asked the person at the proshop if they would still honor the coupon price and he refused, even after I pointed out the computer sitting behind him and asked if we could just print another coupon. Now I know it was my fault for forgetting the coupon but come on, there is a right way to do business in this world... Ok now for the pricing of this course. I always try to play at twilight when its $22, which in my opinion is all this course is worth. The weekday fee is $30 and the weekend is $40. Im sorry but for $40 dollars there are just too many good courses(Champions Circle) in the area with great amenities that I would rather play for that price. So I guess in summary, I would say if you live across the street and can play the twilight rate, in my mind it rates a 5 out of 10. If you have to make more than a fifteen minute drive to this place you really ought to look up the courses you will pass along the way!!!!!!

I have played at Willow Springs for many years. I have a physical handicap but still play the best I can. I buy some range ball tokens ahead of time and keep them in my car so its easier to go straight to the driving range and skip the clubhouse trip. This a.m. (9/10/2014) I found out they had changed the tokens and mine did not work. At the clubhouse I was told there was NO refund or exchange on the old tokens per the owner even though the older tokens had been paid for. They had changed the token system one week earlier and now the older tokens were worthless, even tho they had been bought. I was told the owner said people were keeping the tokens too long. So after one week the old tokens were non refundable nor could they be exchanged. I get e-mails from them and never saw any news of the change. But there are many other courses and driving ranges if this is the way they want to run things. Just beware of the way they operate before you get involved with them. Not a very profitable or user friendly way to do things. Beware!

Willow Springs is never going to be a challenge for a good golfer, but it is much, much improved over what it used to be. Although its always going to be flat and short, all other possible major improvements have been made in the last couple years. The fairways are in very good shape, and the greens are faster than I thought they ever would be. Add in paved cartpaths finally, and the trees that were planted a few years ago coming to maturity, and you have a very pleasant place to play for a reasonable price. There is some challenge around the greens because many of them are elevated. The management has always been great to me. Yes, you need a collared shirt, which I appreciate to try and deter the hacking bubbas from clogging up the course.

played once last year, played again on 6/18. course condition has not improved. the greens are very thin and hard, will not hold a shot onto the green. the tall rough prevents one from finding an errant ball which prevents one from establishing a true score. if you cant find it, you cant hit it. the cart path on the back nine is so bad, I only played three holes. it was just as bad last year when I played. the practice greens and the driving range are in good condition.

Great coarse for the price. Its around the corner from my house and isnt that crowded during the week. Willow will not wow you with challenging holes, its great for beginners like myself. Reading some of these other reviews made me feel like I was having a stroke. What do you expect for 20-30 bucks?

Worst golf course in all of Texas. Avoid if at all possible. There are far better places to play with MUCH more understanding of what a customer is. The course itself is horrid. Save your money and your time. Avoid at all costs!

I am from out of town and wanted to play a round. I found this place and I figured it being so cheap and miles away from anything I can just show up and play. Well guess what they have a dress code. Talk about a kick in the gut.

This may not be the plushest course around, but this family owned golf course makes up for that with the friendliest people. The course is easy but has a few holes that can jump up and ruin your great score.

A good place for the locals. Fairly challenging for the every now and then player. Greens LOOK amazing..but are pretty hard and run fast. Worth the money if you get in for under $30

This is a great place to start your journey with the great sport of golfing. The course is fast and the shots are fairly easy with a good blend of par 3, 4 and 5 holes.

Course is in horrible condition. Save your money and go play at champion for the same price and much better course. Made it to hole three and turned around and left.

Great course for beginners. Maybe a little too easy for more experienced golfers though. Go in the summer or fall when the grass is grown and green.

This course is challenging, interesting, and fun. A great privately owned course. The greens are difficult and play fast.
