Northrop has disappointing customer service, to say the least. I went to purchase a ticket for a concert because I heard a performer I wanted to see would be joining the main act on the radio. The only reason I wanted to go to the concert was to see this performer. I went in to the box office at Northrop to confirm. I explicitly stated to the box office attendant "I just heard performer X will be at this concert; is that correct? I havent seen it advertised anywhere." She confirmed that, yes, this performer would be there. I asked again, "Are you sure? Its the only reason I want to buy this ticket." She confirmed again, yes. I assumed the performer had just been scheduled and thats why the advertisement hadnt taken place yet. I bought a ticket and, taken aback by the fees for buying in-person at the box office, I expressed my frustration at having to pay fees and high ticket price ($100 for the cheapest seats) for buying in-person, while again stating "But so and so is going to be there, right? I have to do it, Ill have to just suck it up. This person never tours. Im so excited." Again, it was confirmed that the performer would be there. Well, tonight is the concert, and guess who isnt going to be there? Apparently, information was conflated from when these performers toured together 6 years ago. I asked to speak to a manager about the situation, and she offered no help. She said the employee only remembers me being upset at the fee, and she didnt mention that I talked of said performer (as if a young student employee is going to admit to a mistake that would potentially get her fired, or that she would even remember correctly one transaction she had four months ago). I said, well, this is what happened. Not only did the manager not even apologize for the miscommunication, but she offered no remedy except "Well, you can certainly not go." I will no longer patronize this venue, regardless of who is playing there.

The architecture of this place is gorgeous! Went to a concert here and was very impressed by the sound quality and the great staff. They offered beverages (alcohol and non) and snacks to enjoy before the show - you cant take anything but water in. The lines for the ladies room was long and parking is not easy! Buy a prepaid parking ticket if possible!!

Lovely venue for any event. I have attended talks, concerts, and ballets at this location and it has always been a great venue. The building is beautiful, the seats are well arranged for visibility even if you are shorter and in the back, and the staff is always courteous and helpful. I really like the $30 under 30 deals.

Sound was good but parking was awful... If I had know we could have prepaid for parking I would have bit there was no communication about this. Also none of the ramps near there took credit cards... When the parking meters are more advanced you know you have an issue.

The Carlson Family Stage is marvelous. I just hope that the events would be more frequent and advertised in the future. I must also mention that Northrop has a coffee shop and some of the most beautiful quiet areas on campus, making it a good place for study.

Beautiful venue for a concert, very intimate with auditorium seating. They have small bar stations however they wont let you bring the drinks into the auditorium, which they dont tell you when you buy them. A little weird but staff was friendly and helpful

Great venue. Saw my favorite band here. I took the light rail to the concert so Im not sure how difficult parking would be. Only complaint was the ridiculous beer prices (it was something like $8-9 for a bottle of mediocre beer).

3rd balcony seating is terrible. Anyone in the 3rd balcony cannot see the stage and if you lean forward to try and see what you paid an expensive ticket price to see, the people behind you get pissed.

Went and saw Trevor Noah with my husband. Our seats were six rows from the front. Great venue with comfortable seats, clean lavatory and helpful staff. I would love to come back for other events.

New remodel is beautiful. No beverages in the theatre so be prepared to drink only in the hallways. Parking can be tricky - lot right outside the theatre is reservations only.

The go to venue for top-notch touring dance shows. If youre under 30, many shows will offer a ticket that includes a free drink for $30.
