Visited before a show at the theater across the road and it was understandably busy. We were told we could wait for a table, but we said we were going to the show that everyone else was going to, so tables likely wouldnt free up before we had to go (in about an hour). We said we would sit next door and eat our food there after we were told we could order at the bar. We ordered beverages, a side salad and an entree to split. Our drinks were brought to us at the table right away and then we sat and waited....and waited...and waited. 30 minutes (and about 20 minutes to showtime) later I went back to the bar asking how long our food would be and chose to close out our tab so that we would be able to leave right after eating. I was told it "wouldnt be long". 10 minutes later (a total of 40 minutes waiting) I went back to the bar again and asked if our salad was ready at least and requested that our entree be boxed since we had to leave in a few minutes to get to the show. Our salad was ready and waiting and was given to me on the spot to carry back to our table, and I was told our entree would be boxed up. We finished the salad and I went back to the bar to find my entree sitting, ready to be brought out to us, yet I was the one coming to fetch it. Put the entree in the car and my husband had it for lunch the next day. He said it tasted wonderful..so they have that going for them. The side salad was ok but certainly not worth a 40 minute wait. We would have been better off just getting a bag of chips from the cafe where we sat to eat. Very disappointed, mainly because no one working there seemed to think our wait was a big deal, or even worthy of apology. Wish I wouldnt have closed out my tab and left a nice tip prior to acting as server to our table for the evening.

I live in the neighborhood and consider the wine bar to be one of the dependable, go-to spots to bring guests for a nice night out. The wine flights are a fun way to try something new. The wine menu has plenty of options to explore. The food is consistently good. Weve gone various times on various days of the week and usually can find a seat. Staff has always been very nice, even when we arrive a bit too near closing time. Theyve found a way to accommodate us and been polite and helpful.

the good: nice patio seating with a great neighborhood vibe. Nice beer and wine list. Artichoke spread small plate and fresh bread were tasty. beet salad was nice, halibut was good, shrimp was fresh in the Pappardelle and pasta was cooked nicely the bad: risotto was very bland with the Halibut, panko was minimal. Shrimp Pappardelle sauce was good but didnt knock me out. Overall a nice neighborhood bistro but has some opportunity to improve the execution of the menu

Menu needs an overhaul. Love their wine list which used to keep me coming in but I got tired of the bad and overpriced food. I ordered the steak which was tough and greasy. Next visit had the pizza which was thrown together and then burnt and the last straw was the lousy burger. Whats happened Riverview? I still love you but something has to change.

Excellent cozy place for single, duo, or small groups. Fantastic wine selection (including flight options), and the food is very good too. Staff is friendly and attentive, atmosphere is inviting, and often you can stumble across some of the best local musicians playing jazz or lighter music.

My wife and I come here often for the flatbread pizza and wine flights. The figaro pizza is our favorite and the gluten free crust is as good as the regular. They have a wide selection of wines and we like to build our own flights. Overall a great place and fun atmosphere.

I live in Wyoming, but become a regular when visiting family in Mpls. Free internet, quiet, HOT jazz if you pick the right nights. Havent eaten there, but the wine samplers are well chosen. Mpls. small neighborhood at its finest.

Beautiful patio, excellent beer and wine selection, and the pizza was delicious. Service was good and the light jazz music was a nice touch. Its a little more expensive than other neighborhood establishments.
