We loved Marriott Ranch. Its in a very rural, beautiful part of Virginia (try to arrive while its still light outside - could be a little tricky to find in the dark.) Not much around except the ranch, so its a great place to relax. The home (inn) dates to the early 1800s and had fallen into decay before the Marriotts bought and restored it in the 1950s-60s (I believe thats the correct restoration timeframe). Rooms are nicely appointed with comfortable beds and pillows and working fireplaces. Bathrooms are small but with everything you need - I believe they are the bathrooms the Marriotts added, so perhaps not as large as we might think we "need" these days, but totally adequate. Its a real working ranch, so youll see cattle all around, very close to the house - we saw a newborn calf on the driveway. Did the trail ride on a clear late winter day - brisk but so enjoyable. Breakfast was delicious, and they accommodate any special needs you have. Also enjoyed the evening wine and cheese. Excellent personalized attention, but also very private (I believe they have only 7 guest rooms total.) It was a great get-away. Highly recommend!

We spent the afternoon here for a company event, family day. My daughters were led on a trail ride on horseback, a first for them both! The guides were great with instructing them and the animals were so well trained! My son was instructed in skeet shooting, also a first! He was thrilled to be old enough to participate! A petting zoo was set up for the little ones too! Bunnies, chikens and chicks, silkys, ducklings, goats, and ponies! The DJ was entertaining and put on a great show. The food was excellent and beautifully arranged. Grilled in front of us by the Marriott staff. They even provided a cooling station with misters to combat the heat. A moon bounce and games with prizes wrapped up this spectacular event. The location was beautiful but it was the staff that made this day shine! Five out of five stars!

My daughter and her husband were married at The Marriott Ranch, May 21, 2016. The entire weekend was magical and relaxing. Louise Ramsey met with us as many times as we needed to before the wedding weekend so that everything would run smoothly. She was kind, helpful and professional. She really knows her business and people well. Her advice was valuable in providing a fun, relaxing but still elegant weekend. Our wedding party and wedding guest felt right at home. The entire staff at The Marriott were kind, welcoming and professional. If you are looking for a venue that offers beautiful views, delicious food and a friendly professional staff, you should look at having your wedding at The Marriott Ranch.

My fiancee and I spent an evening here and were pleasantly surprised. The staff are professional, friendly, and courteous. The various rooms are well-appointed and decorated with a refined sense of charm and appreciation for the age and heritage of the original home. The estate and grounds on which the house is situated are spectacular and swiftly ease the mind into a peaceful serenity. A sojourn at the Marriott Ranch is a magnificent way to escape our modern world rife with noise and stress and transport oneself into a quiet pastoral world free of care and worry.

What an incredible getaway! We went here for our 1st wedding anniversary and were so impressed by the accommodations and service. Between the wine and cheese platter to greet us to the fantastic breakfast prepared by Chaz each morning, we could not have been happier! Honestly, we went into this weekend thinking our dinner at The Inn of Little Washington would be the highlight, and Id have to say staying here actually won that award. I would highly recommend!

Attended a company picnic at this location. The setting was nice. The provided food was good. There were several things to do set up around the yard including mini golf, pony rides, rock walls, hayrides, bounce houses etc. The only negative was there was little shade which on a hot summer day made it difficult to enjoy some of the activities.

Beautiful historic place to visit . Went with my wife to her office Christmas party , enjoyed the great dinner and appetizers. Everything was great but would recommend a selection of Virginia wines which would be an appropriate beverage for them to offer . Staff was awesome taking care of our needs !

We dropped in only briefly to speak with the owner. The property is in beautiful country nearby a mountain and from the information we revieved the prices for the rooms are excellent. Were looking forward to a future stay.

Went for a company picnic. We had use of the pavilion and grounds. Various games set up: volleyball, putt putt, soccer darts. Jeep tours around the property were great. Overall a fun day!

Although cell phone service is horrible that far into the country. The staff was excellent and accommodate the guest. I was there on a work event so didnt have a chance to stay the night.

Very relaxing stay at a house with lots of history. Breakfast in the morning was fantastic. Close to wineries and horseback riding too!
