This venue is discriminatory to people with disabilities. They get away with not having to comply with the ADA because theyre a "historical landmark" exempt from the law. They say, "we have a ramp to get you in" but there are no designated spots for access. If you want to attend a concert they can "try" to clear a spot on the floor. Usually concerts there are GA, so if you decide to go, the only view youll have are peoples backsides! Before my wheelchair days Ive attended events there and experienced horrible acoustics, dive bar type lighting, filth everywhere, and the stench of urine, beer, and sweat. Waste of time, money, and effort.

Shriners work hard and play hard. For those who think they are law breaking drunks, I suggest you take the time to know one. If ever there is a child in need of medical care for a crippling orthopedic problem or deformity, or a child is burned, you may just wish you knew a Shriner that will arrange for that child to have the very best medical care available at no charge to the parents and if the parents cant afford the transportation to the Shriners Hospital, they will drive them there and take them back home again. As I said, they work hard and play hard but you will sure want them in your corner if such a need arises.

I attended the comedy show on Friday, Oct 21. This was a terrible experience due to level of crowd noise while the comedians were performing. It was very rude and distracting for so many people to be talking while the show was going on. I think part of it may have been due to the fact the drink vendors were in the same room as the performance. This was the first time Ive been to this facility and it may be the last. I tried to contact them directly on their website with this complaint, but received an error message.

This is a beautiful building that isnt used as much as it should be. They host special events there and used 2 have the circus and concerts there. I have not been inside it for many years. I believe that the Shriners used to use it for their events to raise funds to help the sick children that needed help with medical issues. Its one of many beautiful historic buildings in our town.

Attended Turnpike Troubadours show here. Acoustics were terrible! Also, you needed to obtain a wristband and tokens to buy alcohol--none of which was clear. Wound up standing in FIVE lines before I could get a drink. A total mess. Also, the bathrooms were not maintained at all. Wont be coming back.

Great place for events but they SERIOUSLY need a new Air conditioning system. Its almost unbearable to go inside the building anytime during the summer and then add the body heat of hundreds of people, especially if its a concert... UGH!!! Enough said!!!

small venue with decent names showing most of the time the shriners are a bunch of drunks so be carefull driving nearby as the police allow them to drive drunk and escort them as well

Greatest philanthropy around. Great burn and orthopedic treatment for children regardless of the families ability to pay.
