My wife and I traveled from Omaha,NE to see Preston Hall, The D.F.Dub All Stars, Cas Haley, 77 Jefferson, Josh Heinrichs and Skillinjah for Bob Marleys birthday party. The scene was unbelievable...There was more positivity and genuine people there than any place Ive been in my life. Security was decent. They did a good job with stopping people from smoking in the building, which is a good thing...ya know, wooden floors and hundreds of beautiful people in a small, intimate setting could cause a problem... Plenty of space through the back to smoke... It was a great little venue. The Reggae vibe is alive and irie in Springfield! RIP Bob Marley... your spirit lives on with the sound and thank you for influencing all these incredible reggae bands of our generation.

It is what it is. Springfield doesnt have a good mid-sized concert venue. Its either a small bar or JQH (too big) or the Gilliioz (to nice, no bar and fixed seats). The Outland is a staple downtown. Seen some great shows there. They get bands to come there. Its just a stage, floor space, bathrooms, a bar and smoking area outside. Theres not really anything better and we all keep going there so, it is what it is.

I was a little skeptical of The Outland at first, but now, I love it. Theres always bound to be great music! The drinks are good, and the staff is friendly and enthusiastic. The crowd that goes to the Outland is a blast! Love this place! Also, be sure to check it out on Thursday nights when The Detectives are playing!

Having spent more years than I care to admit working/frequenting this fine dive, its nearly a second home. The new management has definitely moved in the right direction, so if its been a while for you, go drink some whiskey at The Outland complex.

Staff doesnt even try anymore. Drinks could be made better by a monkey. On top of that, this place is super trashy. Cant even take girls here to listen to music anymore because of how rough the crowd is. Worst bar in SGF

The outland has great open mic nights every tuesday.. Especially the first tuesday night of every month for The Laughingstock with Merr.. The first tuesday of the month starting at 10 pm features local comedians

This is a pretty cool venue to see a show. Its small and enables you to get up close to the stage. The show I attended was upstairs. The adult beverages were average prices and ice cold.

Great concerts! When theres a band I like in town I always hope they come to this venue. You always get to shake hands with the bands afterword, which is awesome!
