In the past I have had solid movie going experiences at Wonderland Cinema. The prices are great, though it is a little far from my house so I do not go often. Today we, meaning my five-person family, arrived and there were not many seats left (they have the assigned seating system that theaters are starting to use now). Once we purchased our seats we started heading toward the theater. We were then stopped, but employees who said, "I believe you just purchased tickets that we were not supposed to sell." There had been a mistake so that the computer system thought they had more seats available for the 12:30 showing then they did, including all of our seats. My complaint was not with the mistake, however, but with the minimal apologetic nature of the staff. Considering we now had to wait three hours until the next showing after they had sold us tickets for 12:30, I would have expected a bit more from the staff. Mistakes happen, but I felt like the staff was just trying to make their problem be resolved instead of trying to remedy what is now one of the most disappointing movie experiences I have had that did not involve a movie. If we had found out it was sold out it would have been disappointing, but our own fault. Instead we actually held the tickets in our hands and then were told the tickets essentially had been sold twice and we would now have to wait three hours.

Wonderland does in fact have great prices, however I have recently been extremely unimpressed with their customer service. Recently my family of five went to go see a movie, after purchasing the tickets we were flagged down before we could make it to our seats. Why? Because they sold all 5 of us unavailable tickets. We barely received an apology and it seemed that customer service was more about correcting their errors rather than recognizing the sheer disappointment we had. It did not seem like the staff cared about the huge inconvenience they just caused by pushing back our movie time by three hours. They seemed happy that they caught us before we entered the theater because they acknowledge that they did the same thing to a few other groups that were getting yelled at in the theater. Although my experience was bad, it was even more disturbing to know that there were people that were harassed in the theater for trying to sit down in seats that they believed they purchased. Seeing one other disappointed group come out I saw they had their popcorn and drinks as well and still were beginning treated with the same disregard as my family.

There are at least 3 movie theaters within 10 minutes (driving) of my house, Wonderland Cinema is the ONLY theater I will ever go to unless im given a giftcard. It is completely astounding how much it costs to go to a movie theater, buy tickets, the horrible food/overpriced snacks, then sit in a theater where lord knows what is on the floor and the seats have probably never been cleaned since they were installed. (in fact, a friends child got LICE from a theater!). That is not the case when you go to Wonderland, the other theaters in town will probably cost you about $40 for two people (tix & snacks/drinks); at Wonderland: tickets for two, popcorn, 2 drinks, and a candy or 2 will cost about $20 or LESS (last time me & my hubby went I want to say it was $18.50)! Along with the awesome prices THE THEATERS ARE CLEAN! I dont feel like I need to take a shower after seeing a movie there lol. Long story short, Wonderland is awesome, all the other theaters in town can kick rocks! :-)

The Wonderland is a great (yes, great) place to see a movie. Four of us can go and get snacks during the evening and spend $30. We went to that other place in Mishawaka and spent over $100. Yeah, I get that the seats at that other place feel like your recliner at home, but the seats at Wonderland are not bad, they are comfortable even to someone with chronic lower back problems. As far as people talking through the film, well, thats the crowd not the theater. Ive had that experience at the expensive ones as well. Just luck of the draw I guess. I will say that in the last five years Ive never had an issue with the crowd talking or being rowdy. Does it look like a warehouse? Yep, but its not far removed from how all theaters look nowadays, big boxes full of smaller boxes with seats and screens. You really dont need more than that to watch a movie.

Used to be great place to see a movie until they started this "assigned seating" policy. Cant buy a ticket unless you pick your seat first. You no longer get to move from behind a tall person or move away from a bunch of gabby people talking through the whole movie. You have to sit in your assigned seats. If you try to move, you risk someone else coming in and telling you that you are now in their assigned seats. I guess they figure we are a bunch of little kids. I see lots of problems with this. Even their own employees say people hate this new policy. Ill find somewhere else to go where I can sit where I want and move when I need to. For now, Wonderland Cinema is on my list to stay away from. Its a shame. Really great prices too. But now......not worth it.

This particular theater doesnt come out with every new movie every weeks, so the prices remain very low. Showtimes vary from quite late to early in the morning, usually around 10:30am. Tickets are about $4 max, unless its 3-D, then they are about $6. However, if you bring your own glasses, you dont have to pay for new ones. The theater is clean (I learned today that they leaf blow them out at the end of the day, lol) and there is a BBQ mini restaurant in the theater, which is awesome. I can eat dinner and watch my movie. Candy and drinks are about $2 each. Unheard of prices, really. The only thing I hate is the parking lot! On the north end I cant even tell where the actual entrance is.

Despite the curb appeal, Wonderland Cinema is one of my favorite theaters in the Michiana area! The prices are unheard of, both for snacks and for movie tickets. Even dollar theaters cant compare! The theater is constantly showing the newest movies and often is sold out during new releases. The staff works hard to stay friendly and helpful for you! The facility is maintained to a high cleanly standard and looks great from the inside. There is also a park next door to it, so while waiting for a movie with your family, you can go play around and pass time by. If you are looking for a friendly, wallet happy theater, then Wonderland is the place to go!

The kind of theater you dont want to sneak in snacks because you want to support their success in any way you can. You dont need to anyway because the cost of concessions is so low already. Its clean and you dont stick to the floor. New movies that you dont have to wait for them to trickle down. They make their own bread for their sandwiches (I think they still do). They have a bar and that entices some movie goers. They have fruit smoothies and coffee drinks. Buy the popcorn bucket because its refillable; sometimes for free. My family and I go every week. Oh, and they have free movies on Fridays outside in the park.
