I am retired Army and recently moved to this area. The people in the ticket window have all been most helpful in explaining to this 63 year old movie reviews and suggestions.They also signed me up for the "stubs" card which allows me to get $10 dollars back for every hundred I spend and Ill do that in 60 days! The counter people are also patient and offer suggestions of what I should or should not eat. The theaters are clean, the screens large and I love this AMCs location close to my home in Zeigler. The matinee pricing is quite affordable and I have no complaints because I get to view movies for half price with theaters 10% full....a deal! The money I save I use to support the concession stands.....I still love junk food, even if I shouldnt eat it! GO AMC! Thank You..............Ssg Dave Morton (Ret)

I am not much of a movie goer. I love a good flick but Hollywood ran out of ideas decades ago, which is why were seeing so many remakes of older movies. I hadnt been here in around 6 years when we went last weekend. The employees all get high marks, as all were very friendly and efficient. The three star rating comes from the fact that the theater had a faint smell of urine. The seats are the older, narrow, non reclining sort (not deducting a star for this because the movie price was cheaper than nicer theaters). My second big complaint is regarding the mens restrooms. In the one I used, there were only three urinals and they were spaced so close that you nearly rub elbows with the dude next to you. Im no homophobe, but ewwww.

Theater was clean and employees friendly. Movie quality was clear and sound was good. And I wish I could stop the review there... However, THEY LEAVE THE LIGHTS ON. No longer is the room dark allowing you to immerse yourself in a movie you paid good money for. Now you can see what everyone is doing and what color clothes theyre wearing(good luck focusing on the movie). And when I went to tell them they had forgot to turn the lights off(it happens). They inform me thats how they are now and thats as low as they dim. Theres so much light in the room while the movie is playing that you actually have a shadow. Will not be returning to this theater anytime soon.

Green Snake

This is one of the worst theatres I have ever been inside. The screening rooms are small and they smell like vomit. The entire establishment is filthy beyond belief. We went on a weekend and there was almost NO staff. One person working the concession stand and two people working one register and a manager walking around wringing his hands and berating moviegoers for being impatient with the lack of staff. The only way this place exists is because there is literally no competition in Marion. My advice is to watch Blu Ray videos at home on a large screen TV. The experience would be significantly better.

A Private User

When we purchased our tickets in 2-D because I cant see 3-D, we called to verify that they were in fact in 2-D several times. When we got to the movie we got tickets in 3-D. I dont understand how we can get a 3-D movie after calling several times to verify a 2-D movie. I can safely say I will NOT be returning to this theater, which I know you guys dont care, after all whats one customer right? Over all Im unhappy and slightly pist off, YOU GUYS SUCK!

I dont go to the theater often this theater and the one in Mt Vernon has always been clean. Matinee prices are good in Marion better in Mt Vernon. If I get popcorn and soda I,get a smaller one because they do refill both. Also hint people, fountain soda is already cold ANYWHERE so you dont need the ice.

Its decent. Could be a lot cleaner, but its still decent. They have the modern drink machines, which means free refills. I like that. Nice employees. But still, the theatre itself could be a lot cleaner, and could smell better. The seats arent very comfortable, as they are old.

Week day early shows prices are ok " but what are the soda & popcorn made of to have a 17.99 price on 2 drinks & a sack of popcorn, way over priced " cost more for that than it does the movie. GREED Not family friendly priced for sure.

Loved the twilight marathon and all the midnight premiers they show! People r very friendly and weekday prices r great. I would love to c some renovations to make the seats more comfy, but overall good theater.

To exspensive it was better 13 years ago cant afford to take a family anymore and have to by the large popcorn and soda to get refills its stupid for one person for a movie popcorn and soda is $23

We went to see Captain underpants on a Tuesday. We had the whole theater to our selves and the service/popcorn was really good. The temperature wasnt too hot or cold. It is a nice theater.

Average theater. Hasnt changed a lot over the years. They did add coke freestyle somewhat recently I guess. No complaints. Just nothing too fancy.

It is a small town cinema, my wife and I come here on date night when we visit her parents. Its a decent theater and I would recommend it.
