The place is a place. The lobby while waiting for friends have no chairs. You are only made to feel welcome or comfortable when you have been relieved of an abundance of money. The snacks arent price on a board . You have to guess or ask. I asked but was not offered knowkedge....like you get free refill with the bigger drink. Poor customer service. Excellent cash extraction business. The popcorn was substandard. The chairs are paid for ....and comfortable but Id hate to see the bill they paid as evidenced by a sheer lack of love... More like a security post at the entrance where you supply a ticket to a guy who has not cracked a hello welcome. No good bye. And easy access to sneak in to the theater if one as should desire. I never would but the holes are apparent. I guess the guys behind the cameras catch up with those people but what of a really bad guy....could penetrate and do what ever .....naw not a safe theater either. So for all my observations, I cannot give it more than two stars. The safety is poor. The staff disinterested. The cash extraction automated. Im old fashioned so if you want my money....I want your attention. I miss the day of a theater line. Even if the staff sucked the time engaged in waiting with others gave a sense of unity. This is a cold method of wealth building for absent portfolio owners. Andrea Sturm The movie was Five Star....Dr. Strange!!!!******

EDIT - Regal responded to my review, asking me to reach out to them. I did again and, again, never heard back from anyone. Im a Regal member, meaning I earn free tickets every now and then due to my frequency of movie going. Webster wouldnt accept the free ticket and, when pressed about it, they explained it was because it said they didnt have to because their website says some places and movies dont accept their own free tickets. Disregard that Id been using these tickets at this Regal for years and that they only do refills on larges "as is our company policy" (despite the Regal on Western doing refills on any size anything. I feel like I could take an empty Kit Kat wrapper to the Western counter and theyd refill it with Kit Kats for me - theyre THAT nice). They turned away my movie ticket so I told them NEVER MIND, ILL JUST GO HOME and then, since I wasnt a customer, they refused to validate my parking. Im already upset and bothered and they couldnt be bothered to stamp my parking because I chose NOT to pay full price for a ticket. And they refused to validate the parking. This location will NEVER receive my patronage again. And Im an easy going guy - this is literally the ONLY place that I would say that about and, prior, Id been here ... 50-100 times... easily. Even wrote to Regal corporate about it and never heard back. Just... bad.

This theater has been totally revamped. We went on a Sunday right after brunch, so it was not busy at all. The customer service reps at the counter, the ticket taker, and the concessions were all very polite. The only thing that made me scratch my head was when you buy tickets, they allow you to pick your seats based on what’s available on the screen, however they are not touchscreens, you have to tell the cashier which seats you’d like??? Not important, but poking at the screen won’t select your desired seats. Moving on… New motorized reclining seats that are wide, have a swivel tabletop for your phone and snacks, and your own 2 armrests equipped with cupholders. I love these new seats because there is enough legroom in front of my lifted leg rest for someone to still walk by. FYI, the small soda for $5.25 is actually like two cans of soda and if you are watching a 2hr+ movie, you may have to interrupt your movie experience for a bathroom break. We did not have any problems watching the movie, the audio was great. It does get a bit cold, so bring a blanket. Also, you can find free parking on the street just W of the parking structure but before the bridge, otherwise after 90 mins + validation, its ~$6.

Theres a big trend in the movie theater business toward reserved-seating theaters. I dont know about the general consensus, but Im not a fan. Personally, Id rather just buy a ticket and arrive a little early than try to beat the crowd online. Never show up to this theater without purchasing a ticket ahead of time. This is the place you go when you know a week in advance you want to see a movie. If youre just out and about and are casually planning to see a movie, youll be lucky to even get seats, let alone good ones. The theater sizes themselves are smaller than traditional Regal/AMC theaters, but the seat-to-screen angle is still weirdly sharp. I think this is because the seats are leather electric recliners, but dont expect too much: theyre stiff and not actually very comfortable. For all that, youll also be paying a few bucks more per ticket than you would at a traditional theater. But as with all Regals, audio and video are reliably crisp. I cant find any reason to ever choose this theater over others, but it might be a good fit for you.

Definitely going to more movies now! I hadnt been to a movie here in about a year. It usually did the job (standard experience, always clean, respectful clientele). However my wife and I just went to see a movie last weekend, and boy were we surprised! The seating is amazing! They must have removed 1/2 the seats per theater to be able to fit the luxurious recliners (with foot rests)! We were incredibly comfortable, and there is plenty of room between rows of seats to exit without shoving your pelvis in another patrons face. Now that I know that this theater has been re-done, we will be going much more often. Also, for a small fee, you can reserve your seats ahead of time, no more getting to the theater 30 minutes before to quickly snag a good seat! What a treat!

The ticket prices are FAR cheaper then the extortion at the AMC or Loews in any of their downtown locations. Moreover, they even offer student prices EVERY day of the week (though possibly not on weekends), unlike AMC and their bullsh*t Thursday-only rule. And, for not having very many screens they tend to have a pretty decent selection of films and a wide variety of times. Although the parking garage IS a scam (which doesnt bother me; Ive got no car), the concessions are a lot less then other Chicago theatres too. All in all, I can only imagine people disliking it if theyre not accustomed to Chicago movie prices, or if they had a bad experience trying to see a popular movie last minute, getting ripped off on parking, or just being annoyed by other customers.

If you want popcorn get ready to get f-ed in the A. 12 bucks for med popcorn plus soda. Wtf! And Matthew.. Really? "If you dont like it, youre not from the city?" Ive lived here for 17 years. And thank for bringing up the parking garage... yeah!!! big F-ing scam. $5.50? So... you pay for the ticket, popcorn, and parking... youve just spent close to 27 dollars!!! Ive pretty much have made up my mind that the best theater is Century 12 in Evanston. Its just off of the purple line. Place is huge. Prices are decent. I believe the popcorn is cheaper yet just as good... oh... and they have decent coffee too. and they validate parking FOR FREE!!!
