I have never in my life have experienced such an unprofessional owner of a company/golf course. We were at Sunset Grove considering getting memberships….we played 9 holes then went up and paid for 3 more holes at twilight. On our last hole the owner came up on a golf cart threw our golf ball we had just Teed off at us and immediately started yelling at us for playing the wrong hole and accusing us of stealing. We told him we paid for 3 more holes (1, 2 and 9) he pointed out that we were not playing on 9. We tried to explain to him that a single and a two some were waiting on 9 so played 7 instead. He then accused us of lying and steeling at which point we tried to offer to pay for more holes if that is what he wanted. He got out of the golf cart and the conversation was very heated. Long story short - We ended up walking away and leaving the course entirely not even finishing our last hole. We will never return and dont understand how an Owner of a Golf Course could behave in this way…this is not the game of golf or what it stands for! We were just playing a different whole. No one was behind us and we were one of the last people out there and were not trying to get a 4th hole in for free. This is not appropriate treatment or customer service that anyone deserves. A conversation, yes, but to come up and throw a ball at us and start in on accusing us of things that are not true is not acceptable. I do not recommend anyone support this course.

First time at this golf course. We started late with a group of 5 - 2 of which were brand new players. By the end of hole 2, we stopped to let the players behind us play through so not to hold things up. Turns out it was the owner yelling at some younger kids to hurry up. Apparently he had his guys working on the hole early and wanted to close up soon. So our courtesy wait was for nothing - I think we ended up making it worse for ourselves. By the 8th hole, they beat us to the punch and were already working on it. The owners wife? told us to skip it because we took too long, so we went to the 9th hole and finished out. Pros: Nice location, nice course, decent clubhouse, reasonable prices Cons: Unkind to new players, rental clubs from garage sale

Solid, fun 9 hole course close to town. This is an update to my previous rating in error. If you are looking for a no frills 9 hole course that is well taken care of, this is a good choice. Decent beverage selection and friendly staff.

Rarely crowded, maintained well, and a friendly staff. The course is a great value. That being said, the fabricated difficulty produced from the omnipresent turtle back greens can be extremely and unnecessarily frustrating.

Spent 8 of our 9 holes with the grounds keeper within 100 ft of us on an industrial mower. My wife and I could barely talk to each other. Maybe he just enjoyed watching her..........I dont know, but we wont be back.

The fairways and greens are better maintained than some of the other local courses, the holes were more spread out which is great for an amateur like me
