Every time I try and give AMC a second chance, they always screw it up. Living on the westside, I want to support westside businesses, but no more. Their concession prices are too high for the very poor quality of product they serve. I asked about my coke tasting watered down, and the worker just told me Thats what our new fountains taste like now!. Very very rude to me. They just didnt seem to care at all. You can spend all the money you have and make the place look new, but overall, its still the same old crew that doesnt care about the customer.
I ordered tickets online. I am a stubs member, but the $2 discount isnt available online? So, you can order online to guarantee seating, or you can wait and see and get $2 off. My son decided he didnt want to go. Because we were 10 minutes late, they wouldnt refund the ticket :( even though we still watched 10 minutes worth of previews. I have learned the Showplace North also has the reclined seating. And you also get a free popcorn with every seat purchase. We will try that option next time.
Theyve ruined this theater with the nasty coke machines. Nothing tastes right out of those machines. The only bottled drinks I saw offered were water & orange juice. How do people like these machines that make everything taste like fruit?? Every single drink tastes off and overly sweet. If this is your only option, Ill be bringing my own drinks from now on. Im not paying $14+ for a popcorn/drink combo that tastes like an orange, lime, cherryade.
Loved reserving seats over a week in advance for an informal birthday movie. Cashiers were extremely patient while I let kids pick candy and I ordered popcorn and sodas. Other patrons were very nice as well while I tried to keep up with 5 kids while getting the drinks. Back row is awesome for a group of kids! At 11 am movie on a saturday, the facilities were clean and the place was relatively not crowded. It was a great time and experience!
Loved the reserved seating. The seats were so comfortable. Price was good for the tickets, but I wouldnt buy concessions again. I dont get why they dont offer free refills on popcorn when its so cheap and they charge so much money for it. I think we spent $18 on movie tickets and $25 on two drinks and popcorn. It was a nice outing for the wife and I, but Id rather have a nice dinner at one of the nearby restaurants then take in a movie.
Absolutely love this movie theater! The new recliner seats are very comfy and you can not beat their ticket prices! We are premiere stubs members so we do normally get a drink and popcorn since you get points on every purchase and if you want a large you pay for a medium! Always nice friendly faces working who are also very helpful! We will definitely continue to go to this theater that is so convenient on the westside!
After the recent remodel, the building looks great. Recliners have been added to every theatre, which does limit seating capacity, however, theyre very well worth it. When you purchase your tickets, you also select your seating - might be an issue for larger groups but is great for a few friends. You can purchase alcohol at the concession stands, along with the usual theatre food fare.
Love this theater. We never have any problems here like we almost always do at Showplace theaters. Staff here is great and the prices for movies are awesome as well. The concessions are a bit high but not any higher than any other movie theater Ive been to. Highly prefer this theater over any others in the area and I drive from Henderson just to be able to have a nice experience.
Paid to see movie and bought the over priced popcorn and then I had to watch advertising for Chevy just like on free tv, then they refused to refill the popcorn which would have set them back about 15 cents. Showplace gives refills and cheaper snacks. Wont be back to AMC and from the looks in their parking lot they cant afford to lose more customers.
To crowded!! The ticket prices have increased quite about since our last visit. We use to go out of our way to go here because of the cheaper prices, but not any more. I didnt mine paying a bit more for concessions because the ticket prises where so much better but the quality is bad and prices are up. Ill take my family elsewhere.
Seriously!! Recliners! I was so impressed when I walked in and saw recliners in the theatre. I have never had a more comfortable movie experience. The incredible, comfy recliners actually recline and have cup holders. The screen was huge and the picture was really clear. This is definitely our favorite theatre in Evansville.
Really the only westside theatre, but I would go to it even if it wasnt. Really like the staff and the seating is comfortable and clean. Also, you cant beat the Stubs rewards card. Saved hundreds of dollars over the last couple of years. And matinee prices are great, along with the occasional email specials.
Best Theatre in Evansville. Ive been exclusively frequenting AMC for over a decade. Compared to that other movie theatre company in town, they are cleaner, more friendly and a better value overall. Any reviews claiming that AMC is overpriced are obviously written by Showplace Cinemas staff or associates.
One of my favorite theaters. All of the seats in every theater are recliners. The picture and sound is great. They also offer special events regularly. The only complaint I have is that their concessions are overpriced compared to every other cinema. But I just dont buy enough for that to hurt the rating.
This is the best movie theater in town. Its prices are super reasonable and its never as crowded as the Showplace Cinemas. I would recommend going here for matinees when you can get very cheap tickets, but even if you go in the evening the prices are still reasonable so it wont break the bank.
Has really nice electric leather recliner seats through out the entire theater at no additional cost. The tickets are sold at kiosks available at entrances and seating is selected at time of sale. Your ticket has your seat number selected on it as would for a concert or production.
My husbands wallet fell out of his pants at the movie theatre. We called in a panic and manager, Ally, went with the staff personally to search for it. They found and returned it with the $600 cash in it. Staff is wonderful and it is very well priced!!!
The new seating is great. Also, compared to other local theatres the service, cleanliness and admission prices are superior. Concession stamd prices are high but in what theatre is that not the case (keep in mind thats how ttey make their money)
It is seriously the best theater around here. It has powered recliners and theyre way more comfortable than regular theater seats. The cost of movie tickets is less than other theaters, but the refreshments seem to be more expensive.
Just remodeled and the new seating is awesome! They lowered their prices during construction which was awesome, but now its as expensive as it was before....but hey its really nice to have the reclining seats at every screen!
There are two other theater companies that are closer to where we live, but we always prefer going to AMC. Its calmer, cleaner and the ticket prices are cheaper. Despite being out of the way for us, its well worth the drive.
