Better than your average ally. Oviedo bowling center is one of the best maintained bowling establishments in the area. Though it is admittedly a "Diamond in the rough". When you first walk in I am sure you will find it dated, trite, and utilitarian. This is accurate. What makes this ally stand apart from the rest is the lane conditions, attention to detail, and.. the pro shop. The lanes are actually very well maintained. Perhaps the focus here is more towards the league bowlers, rather than the weekend recreational crowd. This is a theme you will see throughout the review. Oil patterns are fresh, and are often not a typical house shot. for the avid bowler this makes all the difference, and adds a level of challenge to the game. For you weekend warriors, you may not notice. The center itself is fairly bowlercentric, as in they are mostly bowling minded in their business model. No extended arcade, huge TVs, mini golf, or any other "fun center" activities. Well.. glow bowling on like 2 nights.. but I can forgive that. To me this is not a bad thing. But if you do need some distraction from bowling, they have poker tournaments, pool, and air hockey. The Food, and bar is what you would expect. Standard junk food. though It is very reasonably priced. The Bar is dirt cheap, and they have fairly stiff drinks. Lisa is my favorite, and never lets me go thirsty. On most days you may find the kindly owner, Bob, standing in the middle of an ally, helping children with their aim. He is a charming older man, with plenty of jokes, and is very dedicated to not only to the sport, but also making sure that every bowler is having a good time. This personal touch is not something you get everywhere, and at Oviedo Lanes, you may become spoiled. In the mornings you will most likely find Sue manning the counter. she is always pleasant, and is always helpful. In the evenings you are likely to find Kurt, Dennis, or Eric. All fine gents, always good for a joke, or to help you out with your shot, or lane. Then you have Don at the Pro Shop. Don is one of the best in the state, and weather you are a first timer, or a touring pro, you will not go wrong by talking with Don. With years of helpful insight, and the right know how, Don can truly cover all the bases for your bowling needs. So, in the end if you are looking for a down to earth, no frills bowling experience, I would recommend this over all. If you want to spend more money, deal with annoying teens, long wait time, and weak drinks... there is a Firkin and Kegler up the road...

This bowling alley has always been fairly priced. Depending on what day and time you go, you can get cheap games and cheap beer. Most of the staff is very friendly as well. Ive only had one issue, although indirectly. I have friends that worked here that are also my neighbours. They have been kind to give me a ride there or home so I could bowl with my buddies that dont work at the bowling alley since I dont have a car anymore. From what one of my friends (an employee) told me, the owner, despite the owner not normally being there on nights that Im there and not talking to me directly, said I cant be watching my friends work. Im not there to watch employees work, Im there to bowl with my friends that go there to bowl. I spend about $25 on average between food, bowling and drinks in about 4 hours time. Doesnt sound like loitering or watching people work to me. Ive had birthday parties here as a kid, my brothers did too. Some of my friends even had birthday parties that I was invited to. If thats the kind of attitude the owner wants to have, Ill be spending my money elsewhere to have a good time.

Owner/operator was incredibly rude and unwilling to make customers happy. I paid $40 for my three kids and myself to bowl and then another $25 for food/drinks. I bought a pitcher of sweet tea for my kids and a single Mountain Dew for myself... I walked up and asked for a refill (expecting to pay .50 -if that) and she rudely stated they charge full price for a refill almost $3.00. I asked why, and she stated " you must go to only places like Subway" (insinuating that I must be lacking in knowledge fountain drink etiquette ) she continued to insult me and then put her hands on me... to ensure me that it was quite all right for her to charge me another three dollars for a refill of Mountain Dew . The way she spoke to me, and the way that she refused… Was insane!

Homophobic bowlers attacked two of my friends. Management had no interest in helping as they are partial to the monsters who bowl there for 2 years so far. Look out for the names Gay KC and stay away from their lane. Youll see a giant bald guy. About 40 years old. You can contact me for the full story too. Im upset about not being able to go here anymore in fear of being attacked, stalked and harassed by these bullies. Friend got choked out for yelling "Stop! What are you doing!?" after his boyfriend was being pushed around and nearly got hurt by a bowling bowl thrown at his feet and the management just didnt care. We couldnt leave until we knew those guys were gone.

I had a good time here with my friends because we where together. But the service here sucks. The cashier/server/bartender had a horrible attitude. People keep asking for stuff that never came. When they came they where over cooked. My great time here had nothing to so with the service and everything to do with the people I was with. They need it more help here. Less eye rolling and more smiles.

Can I just say, i dont know who the brunette working the Snack Bar is (Kelly) , but she just stuck a straw in my drink because I went up there saying "this is diet pepsi not regular pepsi" and she drank it out of her own straw and said "this is pepsi its just watered down" and gave it back to me. i work in the food industry, and never have i been treated with such disrespect.

Great place to bowl with friends and family. Saturday youth league is the largest in the state with more than 100 young adults and about 10 coaches that give of their free time to assist this younger generation in improving their bowling skills. The food at the snack bar is very good too. The pro shop offers about anything you need to suit up and bowl. Try it!

This is a good hometown bowling alley. Its not fancy, but they do keep it nice and clean. Prices are pretty good--check for specials on certain days, too. Shoes are clean and theres a good variety of rental balls. It can get a little chilly under the fans if you get cold easily, so bring a sweater if thats you.

Wow this place is really a transphobic Not lgbt friendly at all They were super rude to my fiancé and I. Not giving us the time of day and just ignoring us. They are by far the worst place to go. If anyone out there is an lgbt ally. DONT GO. They are so mean
