Beautiful hotel, however if you are African American do not book here. They dont want us here. We are presently here and being treated quite differently. There are so many indiscretions that unfortunately began at the onset of us wanting to have our family reunion here. Sick elderly relative waiting for a room for over 2 hours AND told no discount and no breakfast when our rate included breakfast, another elderly person put in a room behind the wall and not the suite that party booked, then when asked about a suite on the echelon side of the hotel rhe registration clerk lied and said that suites were only on this side of the hotel. She said that not knowing that I was one of the parties who had signed the contract.....and had been given a tour of the entire hotel....... its just too much more to type but believe me..this is not the end of this matter. About to locate the Decatur Alabama news station.

Least peaceful Hilton/Doubletree Ive ever stayed in. The proximity to the highway makes it impossible to sleep well. You literally feel like youre sleeping on the shoulder of the road. Semis come blaring by all night long, guest services would not allow me to move to another room even though it sounds like a rail yard outside. Ive stayed in hotels in downtown Manhattan, Chicago and other major cities which are as quiet as a countryside morning. Walls and Windows clearly went to lowest bidder here. Please avoid the hotel if you can. Or sleep in your car on the side of the highway and save yourself 200/night. Worst sleeping experience in a hotel in memory and Im only on night 2 of 4. Just stay somewhere else. Also, service in restaurant is about as fast as molasses.

Fire Alarms all night. No hot water today. Asked for a ham and cheese omelet and got a sausage and mushroom omlete once then second try was a ham tomato and pepper omlete. Clearly this hotel is not up to Hilton standards. No one even called to tell us why we didnt have hot water. We just got to be suprised with no option to plan an alternative to a freezing shower. Nice looking facility is the only reason it got two stars. Update: one side of the hotel did get hot water back on now and the front desk let us know we could move or use the shower in another room. Moving them up to 4 stars now.

Our stay began with the hotel not disclosing that there would be no hot water. After discovering there was no hot water we stayed anyway. The next day we found out other guests were offered rooms in the side of the building that did have hot water. We also had friends staying here who were offered to shower in another room so they at least were able to take hot showers. Obviously the management at this location is not proactive in its leadership. After I complained to a sweet front desk girl another staff member said "See ya" in a sarcastic way. I will never stay here again.

I stayed at Double Tree the night of my wedding as a little get away. My husband and I have two small children so we couldnt just get up and go anywhere. The staff was completely amazing. We were just going to get a regular room but they moved up to a fabulous room overlooking the river. We told them why we were there and when we got to our room that night there was champagne and chocolate covered strawberries with a card signed by the employees congratulating us. We plan to go back for our one year anniversary because they made our night amazing.

Double Tree has renovated the entire facility. Very nice finishes throughout. I stayed at this hotel 3 years ago prior to face lift and it is a nice change. Staff was friendly, rooms are nice. I attended a company Christmas party in on if the conference rooms. These rooms were very nice as well and the staff was great. Food was excellent, empty plates were taken away quickly and drink refills were on point. Nice place all around. The construction on the road out front is a little frustrating, so hopefully that will wrap up soon.

This was not the nicest hotel I have stayed in. The building looks pretty old and they have tried to spruce it up with some paint. There are a number of ceiling leaks throughout the building, including in my first room. The bed sheets had a stain on them where you can tell the water had been leaking for a while, there is no way room service doesnt know about this. They moved my room to a different building, not leaky. The room was nicer but the overall experience was pretty bad.

The hotel was a nice place to stay. The cookies they offer are awesome. Booked on a third party website and they did not have the updated pictures of the hotel. Pictures showed that it had a hot tub and a game room, when we showed up those were not there because thats when it was Holiday Inn. But all in all associates were eager to help in any way possible, rooms were classy and an awesome view of the Tennessee River.

Definitely the smallest hotel room I have ever stayed in. I had to lift the bathroom door up to get it to shut; the tub faucet had a constant leak, the tac strip between the bedroom and bathroom was sticking through the carpet and stabbed me; and the window unit, as always, was as loud as an outdoor unit. At least it worked this time. I have begun wondering why I choose Double Tree since this is always my experience.

We stayed at this location a couple of weekends ago for a lacrosse tournament. The rooms were very clean and spacious. Two huge buses of students had arrived before us, but our check in was quick and seamless. Upon returning home, we discovered that our daughter left her tennis shoes. When I called to see if they were still there, I was informed they would ship them to us free of charge. Great job!

After a bad experience at the Days Inn nearby, this place was like coming home. The room smelled like heaven, it was clean, and the bed was so soft. The staff was amazing and they even gave me a free cookie!! I was on my way back to Louisville from New Orleans and this will be my go to place during future trips from now on. It was definitely worth the extra money!!! Thank you Double Tree!!!

I visited this hotel because I booked the room, but when I arrived I had booked it for the wrong night! It was completely my fault but the friendly staff help me figure out what I should do and even helped me reserve a room at another hotel nearby at 11:30 p.m. While I did not stay overnight, my experience was nothing but helpful and accommodating. GREAT customer service!

The hotel is great. All of the staff are super friendly and helpful. They have a Starbucks inside and Trip is the best barista I have ever experienced. He made me the best White Chocolate Mocha Ive ever had. Kudos to Starbucks for keeping him gainfully employed for twelve years. And hes cute and refreshing to look at first thing in the morning.
