This place is a nightmare in so many ways. A friend of mine bought me tickets for my birthday, and Plaza was the venue. Not only did we have issues with the tickets for months (had to call on 5+ occasions to add info to even get them according to them) only for the staff to still deny us the tickets in the entrance. We had to give them the friends name for them to release the tickets, despite them being signed there in our names. We sit down, the venue itself is decent, but after a while we were approached by a staff member followed by 2 people. He is rude, asking what seat numbers we have, we give him the tickets to show for it, and it turns out theyve double booked our seats! Up until that point we are treated as if weve done something wrong, yet we didnt even get an apology. The performance was amazing, but the people running the audio had no idea what they were doing. We could barely hear half of it because it was just that loud. I am most certainly not going here again, no matter what artist shows up there.

Went to see Marcia Ball 1/8/10 in the small performance venue. The "sound" was so over-amplified that the warm-up band became “Professor Lithotripsy and the Stone Crushers”. The base drum track could be felt in your descending colon (along with the base line). A real shame because they might have been good otherwise. The sound crew had at least heard Marcia Ball CD’s and didn’t screw the band up TOO badly, except that the sound level was 20-30 decibels too high. The sound morons clearly do not understand that well played instruments have qualities that are destroyed by over-amplification and that performer/audience interaction can occur when the performers can actually hear the audience. I will bet a week’s salary that over 50% of the audience sustained temporary hearing loss (we travel with hearing protection, but even with good ear plugs in, it was uncomfortable at times). OWNER: Buy a decibel meter and the fire your current sound crew. (We will not be back to the small venue.)

My wife and I had the pleasure of seeing Dave Mason live Thursday night we had 3rd row seats and that was awesome the crowd was amazing Dave Mason was amazing however I have to say went to the bar and get a drink and we were impressed with the amount of top-shelf liquor that was being offered I only wish they had bartenders who knew what to do with it they didnt seem like they were real bartenders or mixologist as theyre called nowadays and it just was a bad experience... over poured drinks they didnt know what to do with the Liquors when you asked them what they could make they had no drink repertoire and for a 7 to $10 for a drink I think I should have somebody that knows what theyre doing and knows how to make a good drink.. I will say the beer was $6 for a tallboy was a pretty decent bargain so I stuck to the beer

I just heard that you have been purchased by the Philharmonic. I am very excited about this because my hope is that you will improve the seating. I made a vow that I would never go there again, as the seating was so torturous I just couldnt stand it. I am not a particularly heavy person. I measured the seats and they were so narrow, it was horrible. The fusions were pressed and worn out. I just couldnt get comfortable. I noticed that the bar was full of a lot of choices, but the non alcoholic drinks were few. Would have been nice to have had a starbucks bottled cold drink. Maybe the point is to get people drunk enough to not notice the uncomfortable "folding chairs" gouging into their buts. Please make the seating better.

Christina Grimmie, female contestant from NBCs "The Voice," was signing an autograph for a fan at Plaza Live when three shots of gun rang out and she was shot at point-blank from close range. Her brother, Mark, tackled the the shooter, Kevin James Loibi until Kevin shot himself in the process. Christina was rushed to the hospital, where she was pronounced dead just before 11 PM. She was 22 years old. Voice host Carson Daly and Adam Levine deeply payed their respects. So did Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez while at a concert and Nick Jonas while he was in his hotel room. Well absolutely never forget Christina Grimmie and her talented voice. She soul might have died, but her spirit never died. Rest In Peace, Graceful Singer.

Just attended Andrew Bird at The Plaza Theatre Orlando last night, and wanted to share my impression--- this must be one of the top places to hear a great band play. First, its very easy to find from out of town. Once you get there, theres a ton of free parking. Seats are very big and comfy, and the acoustics are AMAZING. Really amazing. I sat in the lower section, but cant imagine that theres a better seat in the house. Acoustics were better than the cd itself. Quite amazing. If the act is playing here, vs other venues-- choose here.

miss the theater chairs, alot and the ticketfly company they deal with leaves alot on the table. Try calling them (ticket fly), listen to the on hold message, sounds like nails across a black board and they never answered. The plaza never answers as well, unless it is during the daytime. So the ticketfly message, said, maybe there was some tickets left or it was sold out. We took a chance and there was plenty of seats available. Plaza you need to step it up a bit. this is the 20th century, not the 70s

Have seen several shows at this venue over the past several years. Seating used to be good until they removed the theater seats and replaced them with cramped and very uncomfortable metal chairs with minimal padding. Saw Mary Chapin Carpenter on 10-30-16 and the room was hot and stuffy. I was so uncomfortable from the seats I wanted the concert to be over 45 minutes before it ended. Too bad as they bring in some good artists, but Ive had enough and wont be back until/unless the seats are replaced

The small theatre gave us a great vantage point for the show. The seating was good even if the seats were folding metal seats with a little padding. Id say that the restroom definitely needed an upgrade, and the theater wall and floor could add a few coats of paint. It was pretty dark and a bit shabby inside, to be honest. The parking was ample and easy to exit after the show. I liked the intimacy of the venue and the acoustics. We saw Peter Framptons acoustic show here and it sounded fantastic.

About a month ago I went to see the Devin Townsend Project here, and to be completely honest I was nervous wreck. After hearing about the tragedy that happened I wanted to cancel my plans and not attend. Against my judgement I decided to go, and Im so happy that I did! The place is old but thats what gives it character. The sloping floor was great. Im a short girl and it never fails I end up with the tallest person in front of me. I highly recommend this place! And security was top notch!

Sadly, owners decided to do away with comfortable theater rocking chairs. People were overlapping onto others chairs. I felt tremendous space invasion. Still the concert "Tribute to the Eagles" band was done do well it helped compensate. Floor sticky. Parking lot in poor shape and couldnt find handicapped parking. Could be better but Im very glad to have a local venue like this one. I hope plans are in place as well as financing to keep this place in business.
