I just couldnt bare the thought of leaving my 13 week old cavapoo puppy at home in North Dakota while I visited Salt Lake City. I found this amazing retreat through a goodle search and Im so thankful and happy that I did. I spoke with Jackie on the phone while booking the over-night stay for my little "Piper". I had numerous questions since this is my first pet experience and she was beyond helpful and very patient with me. Jackie was equally pleasant in person as we dropped off our pet. The other staff was just as great and Jackie gave me her cell phone number just incase I needed to talk with her directly. The facility was beyond clean and inviting. We had a great feeling about the place from the initial phone call to picking up Piper the next morning. I highly recommend this Pet Retreat. The only part that Im sad about is not having a facility like this in my home town. If we had a facility as wonderful and clean as "Central Park Pet Retreat" I would take my pet there daily for pet "daycare"!!!!!!! It is clear that Jackie and the wonderful staff at Central Park Pet Retreat are very experienced and full of knowledge when it comes to dogs and cats. It was also very apparent that they provide these services because of their own personal love of animals. Thank you to Jackie and the wonderful staff at Central Park Pet Retreat. We appreciate your expertise and kindness.

I left my young Golden (4.5 months) here for two nights of boarding. The staff and owner are really friendly and seem to really love dogs. He was tired when I picked him up and had clearly gotten lots of time to run around and play with the other dogs. However, I was concerned that his belly and legs were yellow and sticky from sitting in urine and it had irritated his skin (he smelled SO bad when I brought him home), so I called after picking him up to ask how often the dogs get let out. It sounds like they are let out every 3-4 hours from 7AM-7PM, but they are left in their kennels for 12 hours straight overnight. This is too long for almost any adult dog, especially for dogs younger than 1 year or elderly dogs who cant hold their bladders as long. The owner was respectful and apologetic that the urine on my dogs skin had not been rinsed off each morning, and I appreciated the level of care he showed with his clients. He handled the situation well, but I do believe that a staff member needs to let all the dogs out for a quick potty in the middle of the night if the building is locked down for 12 hours. Most humans cant even hold it that long. If this issue is corrected in the future, I think that this will be a wonderful boarding facility.

I would highly recommend Central Park Pet Retreat to anyone. We used them to board our cat when we recently moved here from Alaska. The staff was friendly, welcoming and accommodating. We visited our cat almost every day that she was in there & the staff was great in allowing us to do that. Her "cat condo" was very clean and spacious. She had one area for her litter box & then she could pass through to a separate area for her sleeping pad and food. She seemed very comfortable. At the end of her stay, we asked them to groom her & they did such a nice job--she felt so soft and clean afterwards... & the woman who groomed her even gave a follow-up call to make sure we were pleased. I have seldom dealt with a business in which I was so pleased with their customer service. I will recommend them to anyone who asks & will make sure to take my cat here for all her grooming or boarding services, even if it is a bit far from our new apartment. Thank you Central Park Pet Retreat!

Joey, Gracie and I have our home away from home. We recently moved here from Los Angeles and were spoiled by our local daycare/boarding facility. I toured several facilities here before finding Jackie and Central Park. What a find!! Everything, and I do mean everything about this place is totally awesome--from its incredibly caring, warm and attentive staff to its manageable size, immaculate conditions, splendid backyard, sleeping accommodations (we get a suite) and truly personal service it simply doesnt get any better than this. Weve boarded several times already, the next is right around the corner and its so good to know my fabulous fur kids are being loved and cared for when Im away. Thank you Jackie, Rick, Anna and everybody whose names I forget for making us feel welcome and loved. 4 PAWS UP!! AArrrff and hugs, Joey and Gracie Callahan

I had such a good experience at Central Park Pet Retreat that I wanted to let others know what a great place it is! My dog is a non social Chihuahua, so basically a kennels worst nightmare. I worried that they wouldnt want to keep her, but much to my surprise, they didnt hesitate at all. We were able to rent a private suite for her for a very reasonable rate. One of the staff made friends with her even!! When I arrived to pick her up, she was happily in the staff members arms! She looked happier and healthier than I have ever seen her following a stay in a kennel. She was groomed and smelled wonderful. When we arrived home, she was relaxed and not whiney at all. I will definitely use Central Park again. Thank you for taking such good care of Belli so I could relax on my trip!

I have a year old border collie and any place that can send her home tired is truly magical in my eyes. Central Park Pet Retreat is one of those magical places. Every time I pick her up she is relaxed, tired, and happy--the trifecta of amazing in the land of border collies. The staff is always helpful and very friendly. If I drop her off early they never have any problems feeding her breakfast and when I pick her up they are always willing to let me know what she did that day. It is also one of the cleanest smelling doggie day cares Ive been to. If I couldnt see the dogs I probably wouldnt believe they were there. You really cant go wrong with CPPR--small dog, big dog, active dog, not so active dog. Every time I go in I see them working with them all.

This is THE only place I would trust to leave my dog (besides with family). The staff and owners are kind and great to work with. The facility is very clean. There are plenty of things to keep your 4 legged friend happy and entertained from toys, scratching posts for cats, an outdoor yard with bridges, a splash pad, and shaded areas for Fido to rest from the summer heat. Dogs are separated according to size and temperament and no dogs are turned away. There is also a trainer on hand. Whether your pet needs to stay for the day in day care to socialize or stay overnight, you dont have to worry about their happiness and safety. Go in and check it out. They have competitive pricing and a BOGO coupon right now. You and your pets will love this place!!!

My lab/shepherd, Hudson, and I moved to Utah in September and since that time, when I have had to travel Hudson has happily found a "home away from home". From my first time calling to the most recent time I picked up Hudson, the staff has been nothing but the best! Jackie and the rest of the gang are some of the kindest people I have encountered in Salt Lake City and are always happy to see Hudson and I. The prices are great, the venue is clean, and I know my dog loves that he can have his own bed, food, and toys with him during his stay. If you love your dog or cat, and want to be worry free on your next trip... Put your mind at ease and know that your pet will thoroughly enjoy their stay at Central Park Pet Retreat!
