Visited this @AMCTheatres location for @fathomevents #QueenBohemiaNight... & @queenwillrock did not disappoint! As we looked for parking, I noticed the box office in front of the building was closed. At this point, I wasnt concerned - we dont go to movie theaters regularly, and certainly not during the week, so I initially assumed this was typical weeknight protocol here. Unfortunately, as we entered the lobby, we learned that all of their card-processing was down. No AMC Stubs benefits! Ugh! AND cash only! Horribly inconvenient! As we only had $10 in cash, we had to decide between a soda or popcorn... A small size of each wouldve been more than $11...and the theatre offered no discount for the cash-only situation. Helpfully, an employer pointed across the parking lot to a bank nearby with an ATM. I went with a small soda, & was relieved to have gotten back change. Id noticed large sodas had free refills, but I knew I wouldnt want to leave during the show. Good plan, because as we exited the theatre, we noticed the entire snack bar, including freestyle dispensers, was shut down, AT 8:30. This was our first visit to this theatre, and I hate to say they didnt make a good impression. In fact, the only reason Im giving this location an extra star is that the audio quality was much better than a non-AMC theatre had been for a similar 70s concert event (& remember, zero stars isnt an option). I really hope Fathom Events can find alternate AMC theatres in the Tampa Bay area so I dont have to come back to this one.

1. Ticket lines make no sense 2. $5 Dollar movie night is no longer, its $5 off the already expensive price 3. Movie times dont match anything you see online at all whatsoever 4. You better be ready to speed into the website and reserve tickets if you plan on sitting with your family or friends. Its like a Disney world ride. 5. Overpriced food and watered down drinks 6. People steal your seats and give you a hard time about making them move 7. Every rude 20 year old boy that works the ticket counter believes theyre better than you are and makes you feel unwelcome (Im not an old complaining senior citizen, Im 24 and can see right through the attitude) And thanks to the guy working the farthest left of the counter at 12:30 pm, didnt catch his name but caught his entitled attitude lol. You can find me at the Regal nearby, not spending $35 for two tickets.

Plenty of staff. There were over 15 people in line for tickets and only one person selling them, inside and out. However every cash register at the concession stand was manned with 3 additional helpers. The theaters were spotless. There was a large soda spill in the second isle and multiple seats in multiple rows were trashed with popcorn, wrappers, and other things Ive yet to identify. The mystery liquid from the cup holder that got all over my drink was a wonderful surprise. Short of a condom, the place was immaculate. If it wasnt for the fact that every other theater nearby had reserved d-box d-bag seats I would never come back. My movie starting 23 minutes late and the large smudge at the top of the screen was a lovely bonus. Thanks AMC for setting a new standard of low comparable to the old tricity 8.

We have been going to this theater for years. We are also members of their Stubs program. The only two problems I have with all the changes made are the cost for tickets and the cost for food and beverages. Reserve sitting has taken a time to get used to but I am not okay with purchasing my tickets in advance. You used to be able to purchase a small popcorn and as a Stubs member, you could upgrade to a medium at no charge. The same for a soda. AMC no longer offers small sizes so you have to purchase a medium and upgrade to large - if you want. The theater is clean and the new reclining seats are okay. They seem too expensive for a theater, but that was an AMC executive decision - I guess they dont go to theaters much. I hope they last - both mechanically and the leather material.

Horribly managed and poorly maintained. Youll be lucky if the projector doesnt break. Also, they put a chintzy bar in the lobby, and they routinely over-serve, so be ready for loud belligerent drunks while watching the movie. Its gotten so bad, they had to hire a security guard fur duty during business hours. He doesnt actually do anything about the aforementioned problems, so theres that. Management unresponsive at best, and defensive/confrontational/unprofessional/rude at worst. Its dirty, noisy, and the worst choice for a theater in a 50 mile radius. Go to the Citrus Mall or Countryside Mall theaters instead. You may drive an additional 7 minutes to get to either one, but its worth it. By a lot. I cant stress enough how bad the management of this place is. Zero customer service skills.

Very comfortable seats. Lots of room in each auditorium. Feels like a home theater at a rich persons house. You dont feel cramped or packed in even if every seat is full. I drive quite a way to see movies here. Only complaint is the crazy price of food and drinks, but thats pretty much true everywhere. I dont drink soda or eat junk food, but I almost fainted when I saw the price of my sisters popcorn. I could have bought a case of microwave popcorn and had enough for a whole neighborhood. The sound is a tad loud and sometimes hurts my ears, but I still prefer it over my local theaters. Its also far cleaner and the mens room is huge, modern and also very clean.

1) Ticket lines are confusing. People get in any line they can stubs card holder or not. 2) $5 Dollar movie night is no longer, its $5 off the bloated regular ticket price. (With stubs card of course) 3) Movie times dont match some at times to what they post on the internet. 4) Forget sitting with your fiends, make sure to buy early to get seats with your friends. 5) Over priced popcorn and drinks, but if you are a drinker. You got over priced booze.Yea!!! 6) Im not all doom and gloom, I like the remodeling... 7) When you do get to your seats, you have to be your own Bouncer and ask people to move out of your assigned seat. Kinda missing the old ways....

Fake Dolby Cinema experience. They have the seats and good sound, however.. the projector is not laser therefor "hdr or Dolby vision" is not displayed at this theater. The picture was dim and colors muted in comparison to real laser projection. They use a regular dlp projection instead of upgrading to new laser. Also the IMAX does not have a real 70ft screen. Instead they use a regular 30ft screen placed closer to the audience. Why is this theater charging full IMAX experience and Dolby theater price when they only offer 40% of the experience. They are not worthy of using the IMAX and Dolby name. Hopefully Dolby and IMAX set higher standards for theaters.

This theater is the top choice for my family and I. They have the best seats. They are very comfortable and they are situated to which nobody can obstruct your view. The movie picture is obviously cutting-edge. The sound is amazing too. The concessions are pricey, but what theater isnt? Hollywood demands too much revenue from theaters, so I dont blame any theater for its food prices. Woodlands Square 20 is in a convenient location about 10 mins from my house, it is never overcrowded (we usually go late at night or early afternoon), and the staff has always been polite and helpful. Were actually heading there later this morning for a movie!
