So I want to begin this post by saying that my family has been coming to this theatre since the day it has opened, and normally I would never go to a theatre other than this one... until now. I applied and was interviewed at this location, which to me, was exciting. Sure, it was a minimum wage job with horrible hours that no one else wanted, but I did. It was my dream to work at a movie theatre. After about two weeks of driving to and from Tampa (1 hour away) in efforts to get my employment verification from my former jobs, I thought things were looking up. Finally, I had all of the papers filled out, only to be turned down. Why, you ask? Because one of my references (a 33 year old successful nurse and mother) knew some of my family. So, all of my hard work and experience that surpassed anything worthy of this theater was turned down. So trust me when I say that not me, my family, nor any of my friends will EVER step foot inside of this theatre again. You can keep your horrible service and overpriced concessions.Thank you and have a nice day.

Dont go to this movie theater. So i guess being a parent and having children under the age of 7 is a bad thing to this movie theater. Me and my family have coming to been coming to this movie for the pass 8 year since I had my first daughter, never having a problem always having a great time something me and my family love to do. Now all of the sudden the rule is children under 7 years of age can not go to a rated R movie showing which I understand but a infant no that discrimination the real reason why is because infants cry, poop, whine, and make noise thats the truth, dont go to theater if you have kids and to the owner to this movie theater this rule is discrimination no matter what you say a infant does not comprehend the difference of right or wrong, make sure your employees always enforce this rule because 10 days ago your employees had no problem letting us in to watch the movie snatched, but not to worry we will never come back to Oakmont 8 again..... thank you for ruining my Memorial Day

Great seats and well maintained. Good atmosphere. What I found pretty distracting was that 4 times staff/service personnel had to walk through the room during the movie ("Star Wars: Rogue One"). Like I could experience it at many movie theaters here in the U.S. this one unfortunately does not offer fresh sweet/caramel popcorn like they European cinemas either. Paying about $6 for a bottle of water (1l) I found pretty surprising. I know from my own experiences cinemas have to pay a lot of licence fees - an especially Disney is requesting pretty high license fees and rising. But still I believe the prices shouldnt be that way that you pay more for a bag of nachos (not fresh!) and a bottle of water than for the ticket to watch the movie. Otherwise I would have easily given the full stars that this theatre really deserves!

We paid $30 to go watch a movie my wife and I were dying to see, during the movie there were multiple people talking (not just to each other but also on their phones) there were phones ringing people texting and the drunk couple next to us were having a very loud unwanted conversation. Management needs to do a better job about coming in and warning people about their behavior. When we left there were pop corn buckets everywhere along with popcorn (obviously not the theaters fault but it just goes to show how disrespectful these people were). Totally dissatisfied with our experience at this movie theater.

Its a shame but Oakmont 8 has been heading down hill for the last few years or so. When you get past the usual bland concession stand good luck in trying to find your movie; there are no signs above any of the doors. When the manger was asked for the reason he responded that the company that used to make the signs have been out of business for the last 7 months and they have just never been replaced. A hand written sign or any B&W printer would work; but alas no, probably just too much bother and work. If you have the time just drive the few extra miles and go to Carmike Royal Palm 20.

The remodel with the new reclining leather chairs was a brilliant idea. They are extremely comfortable and the sound quality is great in the theater and the screens are big. The only negative I would give is the assigned seats. You HAVE to by tickets early otherwise youll be straining your neck in the front row or sitting by people you didnt come to the moves with. I wish there was a way to regulate how people pick the seats, sometimes it looks like a checker board of options with one seat available in several rows. But thats my only complaint.

Hands down the best theater in Tampa Bay. We wont go anywhere else. The reserved seating with leather recliners is fantastic! You can choose your seat ahead of time and then its there waiting for you (no rushing through dinner in order to make sure you get the seat you want). The whole place was renovated a year ago and it is beautiful. The staff are friendly and the theater is kept very clean. Yes, it is not cheap, but it is no more expensive than any other theater and it is so much nicer!

Great cinema if concerned about comfort! Spacious black leather reclining seats, with wooden arm rests. The theaters are rather small and more intimate in comparison to most commercial cinemas. Appreciate the fact that the large popcorn is served out of those circular carton boxes, opposed to a large paper bag. The large soda is refillable (once after original purchase). A ticket is around $10 and then there is a "Convenience Fee" that is $3. Definitely worth a try!

Hey smiley face emoji, i had a massive bicep pump today and ate my post workout meal at Chipotle: burrito black beans, brown rice, (for the carbohydrates of course) fajitas, chicken, i got the hot salsa (i am the #1 alpha male of the manatee area. only beta males get the mild salsa,) corn, little bit of cheese for the fats and lettuce, the whole thing costed me 6.93 once i ate the burrito i can feel the massive growth of my ceps. Overall good movie theater 10/10

BEST theater in Bradenton. Comfortable leather recliners & reserved seating! Beer & wine plus your regular concessions. Handicapped seating and room for wheelchairs. I joined the Regal Crown Club last year and earn free tickets several times a year. I love going there. I would not bring infants or unruly toddlers as the movies are loud and of course you do not want to be removed for disrupting other patrons. Just common sense & courtesy.
