It pains me to have to write this review. Honestly, Im one of those people who hardly ever is frustrated enough to deal out a bunch of internet vomit, but in this case I will make an exception. Living in Mansfield, this is one of our local courses, and is very convenient to where I live. (And many of the guys I play golf with.) The fact that the staff here runs what can best be described as a complete horse and pony show is a complete disappointment. The staff, like most golf courses, will advocate to you every time you book with GolfNow that they would rather you just called them directly and made a tee time. This avoids charges for both the golfer and the course. Fair enough! Im completely on-board with that. However, in the past months, when calling in to book tee times, somehow my tee time has magically vanished from the books and they just simply have no recollection of me ever calling the day before to book. This has occurred to me 3 times, and most recently with a large group of guys, many of whom drove over an hour across the Metroplex to play here. "Lucky for you guys, I guess we can fit you in somewhere, but its probably better you call next time." So, the deal is, if you want to guarantee a tee-time, it looks like youd better USE GolfNow, so that they have you in their computer system, and there is a record of it, because the staff at the book is simply too occupied to make sure that accurate tee times are recorded. Given the above, I still didnt feel like getting on here and writing a review. That is, until I find out that my sister from across the country has been going back and forth with the Mansfield Staff trying to figure out for over a month where a gift card that she bought has gone to? Knowing that this was a local course for me, my sister called them and gave her information to have a gift card mailed to my house for my birthday. They charged her, but to no avail, the gift card never showed up. She followed up with the staff on the phone multiple times, and everyone she spoke to seemed to just pass the buck and act ignorant. Birthday was early March, fast forward to the end of April, and still no results. My sister had to call VISA to have the charge removed from her card, and she went a different direction. I did provide 2 stars instead of one, because the facilities here are nice, the course is routinely in great shape, and Ive always enjoyed it once I was past the desk and out on the course. Sadly however, I dont think Ill be back. Im sure that the Golf Pro and staff are huffing at me by now, sorry gentlemen, you earned it. Get your house in order!

OMG! This week we booked a tee time through golf now to play Mansfield. We arrived around 12:25pm for a 12:53pm tee time. Upon arrival we noticed that it was a ghost town. There were only a few vehicles in the parking log; probably staff. After checking in, we asked the assistant manager could we go ahead and go; the course was empty. He answered, "no". Really! I picked up the managers card and noticed he had a cell number and called Jimmy, I asked him could we go ahead and go. He indicated, well wait until about 12:40 and tee off. I thought! Really! Needless to say, we went ahead and started to play. We saw only one other foursome the entire day! The golf industry is suffering already; why add poor management! This was one of the reasons we stop paying Riverside, poor customer service skills. I guess we will have to stop playing Mansfield also. Nightmare!

Ive played this course a few times now and have never had an issue, however I played this course on 4.23.17 and it was not a good experience at all. We started at 4pm and from the start had to wait at least 15 min on each tee box because of the players in front us of and the players in front of them. As the day went on the wait was longer and longer and we were unable to finish the round before it got dark. My suggestion would either be to get a marshal out there on weekends, monitor your booking, or dont allow employees to play on busy weekends holding groups up as well...very disappointing day. On another note it looked as if the course had just been aerated, which is understandable for this time of year, however it would have been nice to know this before booking.

My first experience was the worst golf experience since I started playing in1984. The greens dont even exist because of the issues of black layer they are going through. Nice layout but it wasnt fun at all. The beer cart girl came once in 18 holes. Although friendly at the Pro shop and 19th hole the course should be closed. We were looking to purchase a house there because of the course but left a lot to be desired. I rarely give a bad review but for 200 dollars for the fore some was not worth. I hope the greens improve soon.

I came in from upstate New York to visit my daughter and her family this year for the first time. I took my grandson golfing since the course was literally five minutes away from where they live and had a great time. Rates were reasonable and the staff and the other golfers were very nice. Nice course. Hoping to come back next year and play. Keep up the good work!

What happened to this club? The greens are terrible - some kind of crab grass has crept in on most greens. The management is lackluster. Pro shop employees are indifferent and there is no starter concept at all. Anyone who shows up and pays can just jump on the first tee regardless of when their tee time is supposed to be. Very disappointed.

The golf course was in terrible shape. The greens were sand with patches of uncut grass. To make things even worse, the pro shop said th le course was in great shape. It is a great layout and it makes me sad that the City of Mansfield has their name on such a terrible product. The management company and greens keeper should be fired.

Went to hit driving range balls two guys ahead of me were sold a bucket of balls, I was refused purchase. I was told that they had to hand pick balls and somehow rmthe guy ahead of me was the cutoff. Maybe I wasnt old and dresses enough like a golfer, pitiful considering I am very close to the course.

Fun round of golf. Pretty open layout with the exception of houses hugging the fairways on 2-3 holes. Not a whole lot of water. Greens played Fast and were well kept, some minor imperfections. Plays long from the back tees and requires placement off the tee to shoot low.

Nice course. Greens are well kept. #5 is a great par 3 hole that will challenge you at 200+ from middle tees. I play on a regular basis as they have the ability to play 9 holes early AM for cheap and include a breakfast sandwich in the deal.

I love the golf course and the staff but what happened to the grill. Ordered my burger and fries and got a burger that use to be nice to sort of the size of a breakfast biscuit. The abundant fries were down to 12......
