The place seemed very nice and upscale. I didnt mind the prices because we were looking for a new experience in a fancy movie theater. The leather seats and gourmet food served to you were appealing. Nevertheless, we were conducted to our seats, costly but apparently worth it. A waitress came over and diligently took our order of dishes and soft drinks. There was a man praising the goodness of this concept, his back was turned to us (rude) but we still were under the influence of a new fancy place until the waitress came and poured 36oz of ice and coke into my hair, neck and back by accident. I felt the chilly soda to my bones as the whole cup emptied onto me. I couldnt believe this was happening to me, hey accidents happen right? What was not right was to be standing humiliated soaking in soda and nobody cared. I was there for 10 minutes waiting for somebody to talk to, cancel our order and request a refund because I did not want to watch the show in wet clothing. I was told a manager would come over but this never happened. We walked out of the theater on our own and a hostess offered us a towel and to dry my seat, but I was not comfortable staying to sit in an air conditioned theater drenched in soda. Finally a very young african american guy showed up and introduced himself as the manager. He said I am sorry and proceed to refund the price of the ticket. I was numb, My husband and I walked out the door and I started to react, I said this is not right. I feel the way the situation was handled was not professionally done. I was standing in public soaked in ice soda, my clothes are stained, I am dripping liquid in a public place that is supposed to be upscale and the best experience in movie theaters and I was miserable and embarrassed. I went back and I asked the so call manager if he really is the manager , he said yes, and I said to him that I didnt appreciate the way I was treated. He mentioned that he said he was sorry and he was not happy with the performance of the waitress. His attitude was what else do you want from me? I felt humiliated for the second time in one night. I left swearing not to go back ever again and thinking what happened to the good practice of customer service where you treat your clients with respect and when situations happen you try to make it right. This is the time of social media and I believe that everybody should know what kind of service IPIC OF SUNNY ISLES is providing to their customers. I understand that accidents happen, but with good training this would never would have happened. Secondly the staff and the manager should offer apologies in a sincere way and take care of the situation right away. I was wet, my clothes were stained, I was embarrassed and all they offered me and my husband was another seat that was dry. I am not looking for handouts or looking to get something for free, but a high end establishment should have offered to comp our meal for free or offered to pay for any dry cleaning. I was not looking for this, but it should have been offered. Luckily it was not a hot beverage that could have injured me. The IPIC administration could considerer one customer is nothing but I will be happy to take my business anywhere and let everybody and post everywhere what happened.

I have been driving all the way to Boca to go to IPic for years now about once a month sometimes twice. I was extremely happy when they said they were opening an ipic in Miami as I am a HUGE IPic fan! I usually bring 3 or 4 friends also and on average spend $150-$250 per visit as I usually buy everyones tickets early to ensure good seats. Heres the break down of the new North Miami Beach location (I will update my review if things ever change, and I hope they do) Pros: comfy seats that recline. You get the blanket and pillow that are fresh and clean. Open late (great for us locals, as Miami is a late night place) Free popcorn, always puts a smile on my face when the guy comes around. Makes me feel like the second mortgage I just took out to come here just might have been worth it. Cons: First, whoever did the hiring here should be required to take a class given by the Boca Ipic... or even just made to attend one single movie there, the difference is drastically night and day shockingly different. The staff at the Boca location was high end and swanky, creating the great feeling that you are a VIP going to a high end event almost like a club, but a classy club. The staff at the NMB location gives you the feeling that you are shopping at Kmart and that they all hate their jobs and have zero class. Super low end staff the complete opposite of the Boca location staff. I have gone 10xs so far to this new theater and 10 times I ordered the buttermilk fried chicken with a side of honey mustard. 10 out of all 10 times I never got my honey mustard. The past 5 times I even said that for 5 times the side of honey mustard never came, its always "oh yes no problem Ill make sure it comes"..... well NOT ONCE has it ever come. It usually takes about 20 mins to find the guy and 10 mins extra to finally get the sauce. So for 10 movies Ive eaten cold chicken or chicken with no HM. Not acceptable at this price point. Several of the theater screens have some gunk on them center left. Theater 7 for sure and I think 3 and 4 have it also. Both in the same place and every time the screen is white or lit with light colors there it is a huge 5 ft gunk thing on the screen. I dont know if its "burn in" or what but they just opened and should have high end equipment that doesnt ruin the film, It really takes away from the experience, my eyes fix on it every time. It should have been fixed already. I get that a new screen costs money, but these screens are toast and youre not the dollar theater, has management never seen one of their own movies here? What happened to the days when people had passion for what they do. So to sum up my review. IPic is an amazing new movie theater chain that really got the experience right, but the North Miami Beach location has been my worst IPic experience to date and simply doesnt match up to the IPic standard in any way. Ive been told that an Ipic is opening up in downtown Miami city center. I hope this is true so I can stop going to the NMB location. For now I am going to wait a few months and hope NMB IPic gets their stuff together. Ill update this then.

First I would like to state that I have been to this I pic over ten times. However after the exsperience that I had last night, I will never go back. Yesterday I went to the movies with my boyfriend, and he was making a snap chat video of us. He just put the camera on us and the food. He was looking at his phone and the video. However there where no sounds or lights aluminating off of the phone, he was causing no inconvenience to anyone, exspecially since no one was behind us or directly on the side of us. He had his phone out for maybe 3-4 minutes and all of a sudden someone came to him and said can you please put your phone up without an explanation. I was caught off guard and it happened so fast that I couldnt even respond. However I felt extremely offended, being that I have been to this movie theater plenty of times, and Ive never seen anyone being approached. I have exsperience individuals making loud outburst throughout the whole movie, people arguing with employees about their food, and people being on there phone doing whatever the hell they wanted to do with it. I looked around the room and saw that we were the only African Americans in the theater, and thats why I felt discriminated against. I will never spend another dollar at this exstablishment....and FYI. Before anyone approaches anyone about cell phone use maybe they should assess the situation a little better or tell them why. being that we where already 30-45 minutes behind in the movie, and he went to order the food himself so he was like a hour behind. So why the hell would someone be recording the movie (thats what Im guessing the staff member thought) overall I wish I addressed the situation right then and there however. I was so offended that we left maybe 10 minutes after that.
