I have been an avid customer of Regal and furthermore the Oakwood theatre. Today marked what I hope to not be my final experience at regal, when for what amounts to a refund for a bottle of water, I was interrogated and turned away as if I was trying to con the faux manager for a few dollars. Today I purchased two tickets to girls trip for 430 showing, then bought 2 nachos, a beer (large), a fountain drink, and bottle water. I subsequently told the sales lady I didnt want the water, I cancelled it in favour of the fountain drink, but the sales lady already rang it up. She stated she needs a manager to provide the refund, at this time it was 445, movie started at 430 so I said dont worry about refund until after I finish watching movie. The manager at the time, a black lady very nice said no worries and well refund it back to your card when you come out. Consequently movie finished, both the prior manager and other sales lady are gone, then Darryl Hughes who in a very berating tone advised, I cant issue you a refund, since I cant produce the receipt. This after 5 minutes of questions of why I didnt wait, and questions about what I orderred, which is fine. Then he stated after all that, nevermind I cant help you, nonchalantly, which he could have stated to begin with, instead of asking me questions around 8-10 other people, unprofessionally and said maybe you can call someone to help, but I cant. After asking who, he huffed and puffed and finally gave me a card, stating good luck. If your managers are taught to smirk, and not encourage customer loyalty, and effective problem solving, congrats, he is well trained. Sorry to sound perturbed, but again going through all this for a bottle water refund, for a water I purchased, never got, I think you too would be questioning Darryl, Regal, and how one should be treated when a paying patron decides to support your business.

This multiplex has been recently refurbished and the food and drink offerings look great. My theater had very nice faux wood flooring and the seats were large and comfortable with a nice retractable tray. Unfortunately this theater suffers from the same thing many other theaters do, a dim picture. The most comfortable seats and the greatest sound system cant make up for an improperly projected picture. When scenes that take place in broad daylight look like dusk you know that the theater is skimping on projection standards. It takes more money to maintain a correct bright picture because the correct bulbs burn out more quickly so its cheaper to use lower power bulbs that last longer but produce a dimmer picture. Thats the way it was with film projectors and it seems to have carried over into digital projection also. They gamble that most people wont notice the difference. If Im going to pay 12 bucks I want my movie to be at least as bright and sharp as a blu-ray or HD streaming. Sometimes theaters will keep the larger screens up to standard for the first run of its biggest movies and skimp on the smaller screens. I dont know if thats the case here, I just know that my showing of Rogue One and the previews that preceded it were all noticeably dim so I left after a few minutes and asked for a refund. The manager very politely gave it to me without any trouble. I was a little sad not only because I was missing the movie but also because everyone was very friendly and all of the changes they have made seem great. Now Im just going to have to plan all of my movie-watching for the Broward Mall theaters which, for the moment, still shows their films correctly. Its a shame since Oakwood is actually a little closer to me.

Good place but very bad service, I just saw a movie and bought food, they told me they would deliver it to me in the room because they were late and they did not take them, there was no one to complain to outside. They kept the money and did not give me the purchase.

HORRIBLE concession employee. Seriously, can they move any slower?? Can someone please teach them pride in service? How to smile? How to multi task? Completely apathetic girl took our order, dragged her feet to the end of the counter to get our popcorn, dragged back to us to place popcorn on the counter only to realize she forgot the butter ... so she then dragged herself ALL THE WAY BACK to the end of the counter to put the butter on the popcorn, dragged back to us to put the popcorn on the counter, she then walked BACK TO THE END OF THE COUNTER get our 1 bottle of water (which is next to the popcorn machine) THENNN walked ALL THE WAY BACK to us to put the bottle on the counter, THEEEENNNNNN walked all the way back to the end of the counter AGAIN .... OMG!!! Thought I would loose my mind before our order was complete. ---- OH and people with small children, DEADPOOL IS NOT A KIDS MOVIE. IF YOU DONT HAVE A SITTER STAY HOME. ITS RATED R FOR A REASON. Why are babies and small children allowed in the R rated movies??

Absolute stupid policies. 53 years old and have to show ID each time you want a beer even though on the 1st beer they give you a wristband. My wife and I arrived 40 minutes early to get a good seat. Ordered 2 beers popcorn and candy. So 10 minutes before the show starts I go out to get 2 beers so we dont have to leave again during the movie. I am told we can only give you one, we need to check your wifes ID. I ask for a Manager, 5 minutes goes by before he arrives and the entire line of people waiting behind me for concession stuff is held up. Nobody served. So they want me to go get my wife, lose our seats and line back up again and miss the 1st 10-15 minutes of the movie. I am told this is their policy. Regal really needs to get with the program here. NO OTHER place (concerts, sports venues etc) does this nonsense. Got my money back and my wife and I walked out. Will never give Regal another dime of my money. Thanks for spoiling our Christmas Day movie Regal.

Totally a pain in the a** every time I go here. Never enough ticket cashiers, never enough people behind the snack place, and usually kinda grimy. I went here to watch a movie, the film or projector broke to the point they had to kick us out and refund or give us rainchecks. What I dont understand was that it was 1:1, we got 1 ticket back. For the time theyve wasted and the hassle of having to stand in line to get a refund again, they owe me at least an extra ticket. Also, I just tried to get a pass to a show about an hour later, and they still wanted the ticket difference from me!!! (full adult vs. matinee prices) THEN, what really makes me more aggravated than anything, is that Regals online comment form only lets you have a 255-character long comment to give feedback. That just makes me more angry, and then I cant even write about how aggravated I am!! Its the feedback loop from hell... I will not be going back any time soon.
