This theater tends to showcases edgy film with an exclusive on musical documentaries (versus other art cinemas in Miami). The seating is off center to the screen in this uniplex. Get there early, or else everyone will know you are arriving, as the stairs are made of a material that vibrates excessively, so your normal footsteps sounds like you are stomping the floor. It is easy to miss, despite it being well-lit and at the edge of Wynwood. Look for a mural-- though that is common enough to say in that neighborhood. Concessions are limited, but include a rotating selection of local cookies, for example. There is patio seating in the front and, likely, youll want to linger to chat about any film offering shown here. The staff take pride in their selections. There is but one bathroom. Remember this. As you wait for the bathroom, you can write on the chalkboard wall, towards the entrance or peer into their real and faux merchandise shop, with treats like a parody vinyl sleeve for "Stranger Things".

This place is soooo great! I am a huge fan of indie & foreign films and this place fits the bill perfectly. Unlike the Tower Theater or the Coral Gables Art Cinema (2 of my favorites!), this one has a gritty kinda street vibe feel to it that is super cool. They sell beer and wine and they have a few snacks to chose from as well. The venue is small with only one film showing at a time and that is what makes it so special. It is small and intimate and you are always treated to a great film that you would have missed had you not gone to a place like this. Its theaters like this one that have contributed to my general disdain for big chain cinemas. When you go to a place like this or to another small art cinema, everything else just seems "blah." Parking on the street is plentiful and you are a short walk / drive away from some great restaurants and bars. Definitely give this place a try.

O Cinema on the outside looks like another warehouse in the Wynwood District, and that makes sense, because it was. But if you go inside, not only do you have a theater with theater seating, but a concessions area that has a place to show video art, as well as two gallery spaces and a store that sells womens jewelry. You dont see the AMC doing that. As far as the movies they show, they show films every Thursday to Sunday and you can always check out their website - as of the time Im writing this review, that includes a documentary of Yves Saint Laurents lover, a documentary on how to live forever, and an independent Thai ghost story. Get your culture on!

Came here for the first time last night to watch One More Time with Feeling (Nick Cave), which I absolutely loved. So powerful and beautiful. So much love and respect for Nick Cave. O Cinema is a small, cozy little operation that doesnt have the biggest screen youll ever experience, but they are doing their best to deliver independent cinema to Miami. Also, they sell beer and wine, and thats always a plus. Based on the previews before the documentary, Ill definitely be coming back while while Im in Miami.

Housed in a converted warehouse, this nonprofit indie theater is steps from the Rubell Collection and the Wynwood Walls—though its tucked away behind the street, so it can be a bit tricky to find. O Cinema regularly screens independent, foreign, art, and classic pop culture films inside the cozy 112-seat theater, and occasionally hosts outdoor film screenings on the patio. The Wynwood location is the original, but they now have theaters inMiami Beach and Miami Shores, too.

The best way to cap off any day of relaxation is a nice movie and some popcorn. Instead of raising my stress levels by dealing with long lines and crying babies, I tried something new by visiting O Cinema. Although there arent any box office hits playing. There are no lines, a wine bar and a usually empty theater.

O Cinema is one of the great cultural centers in Miami with their carefully selected films, screenings, and laid back atmosphere . You will easily feel at home in this bohemian theater that show cases some of the best indie films that put an emphasis on the artist and the communities they represent.

What a sheer joy to discover this wee Indie Cinema gem in Wynwood. Inventive use of a great space with all the mini art galleries. Loved the opening movie Mississippi Damned and am excited about the progamming that they are planning. Its an cinephiles dream
