My wife and I came to see one of the earlier showings and were one of the first few people to arrive to buy tickets. We were standing in line at the concession stand, and a lady came and cut in front of us (mind you, there was no one else behind us and we were next in line after waiting for 2 other couples ahead) it looked like she was just asking a quick question so I thought nothing of it. She kept asking about a specific movie time and then asked what time it was. The cashier told her it was about 10 mins until the movie started. The lady said "oh okay, Ill get a ticket for that" and the cashier helped her.. This normally wouldnt upset me however the cashier did not even bother to acknowledge the fact that the lady skipped us. This greatly bugged my wife who them said "Oh.. ok.. its not like we were standing in line or anything" the cashier noticed this and looked annoyed, not with the woman who cut in front but with US. I come to this theater a lot because its a bargain, so I dont really expect "the best of the best" but if your job is customer service then please try and actually do your job.

I went in there with my two years old and sister as I do every Sunday and as Petty as it may sound Ive never had to pay for her they may have just changed the rules to under one and the employee proceeded to be rude and nasty about it so we went ahead and bought our tickets and as we do every Sunday my daughter had a drink with her along with us two big cups we were told that only my daughter was not able to bring her drink in there my 2 years old and then at that point we asked for our money back and was refused our money and then had the cops called on us because they expected us to leave without our money on top of that its dirty theres always urine in the handicap stall they never clean it and they just have poor attitudes I do not recommend it the only reason we come here is because we live in the area and its cheap but I guess you get what you pay for I will be contacting my attorney and whoever else I have to call

The prices are currently 75c on Tuesdays all day, and 1.25 (before 6) and 1.75 (after 6). The concessions are a bit pricey considering, but still cheaper than the typical movie theater. For example a Tub of popcorn with one refill and a large drink is only $8, where as most other theaters will ask for 12 or 13 for that. Not to mention they need to make money somewhere given how cheap the tickets are and how expensive it is to run a movie theater. They do not accept credit cards and never have, but they do have an ATM in the lobby. They also do not show movies in 3D yet, but may in the future. As for the smelly carpets. They were just recently replaced! All tile in the lobby and brand new carpets in the rest of the building. How exciting! :D

Want your feet to stick to the floor(then this is absolutely the place to be)...Just playing,I just thought it would be funny for that to be the first line people saw on my mini-abbreviated-sound-bite,but this place is awesome Ive actually been coming here since I was just a jit(florida slang for young blood) The value for what you get here is unbeatable WORD TO THE WISE:I seriously suggest stopping by the dollar store before you step through the door & really loading up on the snacks though(seriously who actually pays $4 for $1 candy at the concession?)Can you say highest mark-up EVVVVVEEEEERRRR? We got it before redbox, should be this theaters mission statement...;-P

Great place to watch a movie. You cannot beat the prices when across the street they are charging $15 at the mall. Just $1.75 here and $1 on Tuesdays. If you go on the weekends expect plenty of people to be there. Yes it does tend to get a little messy with the crowds, but the staff does a good job trying to keep things clean after every showing. Sometimes you feel like you have walked into a movie theater back in the 80s the way the seats are set up. Very unique experience. I have been going here for over 6 years and it never disappoints. I can take the whole family to watch a movie for less than $20 with popcorn included.

This movie theater is amazing! The carpets and tiles are all new. The seating is the good kind, with the arms that raise. This is great for movies in which my little one gets a little scared - she can just curl up with me without that large armrest in the way. The kiddos even have good seat risers - the kind that velcro in and dont slide out. For a family of 4 to go to the Friday evening movie, get a large popcorn, large drink and a couple of hotdogs is less than $18. They even have 3-D movies for just a little bit extra. What a great value! We can afford to all go to the movies at least twice a month, if not more.

The first time I went to this theater was back in 1987...to watch the film Wall Street. I returned to Longwood this summer (2013) to visit family and was happy to see someone was still showing Star Trek ID...I miss it when it was first released. I was surprised how much the theater had NOT changed. I was expecting a real run-down place like other Dollar theaters I have been to before. The theater had clean restroom and hospitable staff. For $1.75/person (anytime), its a great value! I plan on going as many times as possible to see all the films I have missed while I was out of the country.

It is very reasonable BUT the way the popcorn stand is set up makes for a very large traffic jam! if they reworked it so that the line went out and it was one line that then broke into 4 lines closer it would be alot better and they would have the room to do this being there is such a large outer lobby area and to make it easier on the public they could also have someone at the outer desk to do just tickets so you dont have to wait through all those wanting food to buy a ticket ( i use the computer ticket machine but not everyone knows how to so the bog up the food line to get tickets)

Although it is wonderful to only have to spend a few dollars on a movie, you get what you pay for. I know at least two of the screens have large stains running all the way top to bottom, presumably from roof leaks. Annoyingly visible during the entire movie. Its not very clean, either, but its not terrible. Its impossible to keep up with how many people are moving through that area, which is pretty small, so thats not a huge complaint. I dont think Ive ever had an unpleasant encounter with an employee. I would be very happy if it werent for those screens.

I have long loved this place for 8 solid years, with my entire family. It seems there is new management and things have taken a step backwards. There no longer is free flavors fot the popcorn. You actually have to pay for little packets. Although they have nice employees, there are no familiar faces, as there once were. Employees used to ask about my kids, is how friendly things were. Now, Im just another face in the crowd. Its still a good deal, but currently Im trying to find patience with them and waiting for them to get it back to perfect, again.
