Lets face it, unless you are willing to drive across the city, the theater you usually frequent is the one located closest to your house. For us that is the AMC Orange Park. Im not a huge fan of this theater for several reasons: 1. This isnt a very upscale area (although not exactly ghetto either) and there tends to be a very young obnoxious population that likes to inhabit the lot. Even when people arent actually attending movies, this mall entrance is chock full of teens who seem to always be fighting or arguing or causing some sort of trouble. As a result, police officers are always around. 2. The seats dont recline at all and arent very comfortable or roomy compared to other theaters. 3. They are very poorly organized with large crowds on opening weekends. It ends up being a chaotic mess of angry people fighting for seats because there is no crowd control when lines get long. However, with those things said, this theater is fairly large and as a result has a lot of movie and showtime options. There is alcohol for those who are interested and it is relatively clean for an older theater. In my opinion it is worth the drive to another theater if you have the time but if not, then this will do just fine.

Went to see Captain America: Civil War on mothers day. 5 adults and 1 child (8 yrs.) We were in a theater in the back of the building. We arrived with plenty of time to choose the seats we wanted. There were quite a few families with very small children, many looked to be under the age of 3 and quite a few infants. Long story short there was an infant and tiny child right behind us. The infant expressed every single emotion; squealing, shrieking, crying..ect while the small child hung off the back of our chairs. The parents did nothing to quite their children or stop them from treating the chairs like a jungle gym. Not one attendant came through the theater, not once. Since we were at the back of the building, I didnt want to risk missing the movie by leaving to say something. I went to customer service after the movie and explained the problem. The young mans response was, "Well sorry, we cant do anything for you because you didnt come say anything." I was shocked by his lack of concern and customer service skills. Movie was awesome, venue was awful.

Im convinced the only reson this theater gets business is because its closer than going all the way to the other side of the bridge or Fleming Island.....i just recently started going to the movies again (I despise how disgusting and rude people are and all the little kids running around causing trouble) and i must say that as excited i was to see Doctor Steange opening night, getting there to see the manner in which the theater is kept (or unkept) was rather appalling. Im so glad i dont drink sodas because nothing like payjng $6+ for a drink only to get over to the machines to see they are absolutely disgusting with peoples sticky fingerprints everywhere, soda that has spilled all over the counters and dried.....it was just gross. I find it hard to believe they would be allowed to stay open or serve sodas had a health inspector came in and inspected their soda machines. Ok theater, but if you really want a great experience, I highly siggest you go elsewhere

For being an AMC IMAX theater, this one really lacks in providing that level of quality Ive grown to know and expect from previous AMC theaters. The fact that theres two IMAX screens is nice, but the theaters them selves are ridiculously filthy. Gum stuck on every other seat, stains and crumbs on the rest. Always garbage on the floors. Arm rests on chairs sag too low. Cup holders are filled with scum and other unknown disgusting substances. Movie previews start late. Like, the last movie I saw was supposed to start at 10:15. 10:20 rolls around and its still a black screen. Two times ago they never dimmed the lights once the movie started. I had to sacrifice a couple minutes of the beginning to go and ask for them to be dimmed. Its just one aggravating experience after another every time I come here, unfortunately there just arent many other options.

This place has been my hang-out spot since childhood. Large, always renovating/adding new areas, they bring a good deal of independent releases Carmike Fleming Island cant due to it being, well, half the size of the AMC. I have to say, having worked retail myself for 8 years, that it frustrates me to see so many people giving negative reviews. Occasionally youll get a bad experience at ANY retail place. Please, dont let the bad reviews scare you. Besides, the snacks are much better at the AMC- they have a coca cola freestyle, and their popcorn doesnt taste like cardboard (ahem, Carmike, please change your formula). Ive always had very polite experiences. I was once charged twice for one ticket, but they cleared it up at customer service fairly quickly. Sometimes mistakes happen, but these guys were pros. Just sit back and enjoy the movie!

Horrible! The whole place seems to be unclean, especially the bathrooms. They dont bother to equip the staff with the correct equipment so they can scan tickets on a phone. They made me go outside after waiting in line to print tickets already purchased. Then staff at the concession counter skipped me twice while in the premiere line and had to type in my rewards number twice. The recliners are not as comfortable as they are at other locations, although the Dolby Cinema was good but didnt make up for the rest that this theater lacks. Very sad to see how far down hill this theater has gone over the years. I will gladly make the drive to Regency as it is a much nicer theater and the staff is usually trained/equipped better!

Absolutely awful. The audio in the Dolby theatre cut out as the movie was starting. When we went out to see what was going on the manager was telling people its not his fault, and we should blame the electric company. One person in our group had to finally cut him off of his tirade and ask if they were going to restart the movie or not. They had been aware of the problem but didnt bother to let any one else know there was a problem. Why not come tell us that you needed to fix things. That would have been so much better then acting like it was everyone else s fault. Couldnt you have just said sorry, we need to reset the speakers please hang tight? I highly doubt anyone would have been upset about that.

So I went there with every intention of watching a movie with a nice cold drink in hand, but when I got to the bar to order a relatively low alcoholic beverage (a oreo mudslide if you must know), these 2 female bar tenders gave me the biggest headache about it. Right off the bat, I placed my order and 1 tried to get me to buy another drink as if I asked her damn opinion. Then they carded me of course and argued that both of them couldnt read my birthday on the back of my military ID and refused to get another opinion from a manger or someone with an IQ over 70. So Im old enough to die for their security and freedom to be b1tches but Im not old enough to have a damn mudslide, roger that.
