It was...an experience... The place just seems a bit beat down, and most of the games either dont work, or dont give tickets. The little girl I was watching, (like babysitting), was very upset when she found out that the 725 tickets she got only turned into 29 tokens. The rules say that whatever number of tickets you get, you have to divide it by 25 because you are using quarters. I just think that it would be smarter if for example: Say you can get a toy for 5 tokens. That is equivalent to 125 tickets. Why not just say that the toy is 125 tickets? Or, make it easier on everyone, AND MAKE THE TICKET AMOUNT THE ACTUAL TICKET AMOUNT. I have talked to so many other parents that say that their children dislike the place very much. It is too old and run down. There are only two bathrooms, and they lock from the OUTSIDE! WHAT? Its a scam of your money, and the only workers there are unenthusiastic, blank expression, tired older people. An older woman did not hear me when I said, "Split the girls tickets, please." She did not, resulting in the younger one hitting the older one because she got more. This resulted in a HUGE argument, and one of the girls started bleeding. It is not completely the womans fault, but if she had better hearing, or if there were younger workers, this probably would not have happend. So, in conclusion, here are my ideas for a renovated "Fun Factory": -New working games -More bathrooms that WORK. -Young, nice employees -MAJOR clean-up -No more "25 tickets=1 token" rule -Better prizes -Overall better place for children (since, ya know, its for them?) Thanks for taking the time to read this.

This place is an ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE and it is AMAZING. Everything is broken, but nothing is labeled as such, so you just stumble around putting quarters into machines that may work, or it could just take your money. Nobody cares either way! Everything in this place is a little bit weird and sad and wrong. All the prizes seem like they fell off the back of a truck. They have an industrial meat slicer you can win with tickets. For less tickets -- jimmy carter ephemera. The horse races game operator is super friendly, and provides a live announcement of the race, but he doesnt really cause all he does is scream random vowel sounds into the microphone! I love this place more than I can express, but I would only take a child here as punishment. Last time I was there, I won this creepy postcard! This is not a poor photograph on my part -- this is literally what the damn postcard looks like! What is that supposed to be a picture of??

The Fun Factory has a great variety of games. They have plenty of old classics, as well as the latest games all under one roof. They have active games, like basketball and skee ball, as well as things like coin pushers and mini carousels. Most games take quarters or bills, and there is a desk that can exchange between them. The prizes offered arent that great but there are a few weird knick-knacks and hidden gems in there. Dont save your tickets planning to get one of the bigger items because they are slated to close within the next year or so.

Nostalgia game arcade that people who grew up in the 90s (maybe 80s) can enjoy! I love bringing friends here because they never knew such a place existed at the pier. Some games are cheap, you can play air hokey in the back and you could win some weird prizes...the prizes section reminds me of the $1 store. Its not something I would go to that often. But its nice to visit once in a while and show it to people who have never been to redondo beach pier. If you like weird stuff like me or hidden gems, you should check this place out

For what it is, I think its really not all bad. This is (for the most part) closer to a classic arcade than anything youll find. Most everything is under a dollar, and even some fun carnival style games are 25 cents a person. Thats really a steal and it is very fun! The only real problem is that the workers dont really seem to like working there, and the guy doing the horse game totally seemed drunk (had a red face and red eyes). The arcade smells a little, but for the price of everything, three of us had a lot of fun for $10.

Amazing. Old school games from a time past by. A great Pac-Man game console. Skeet shooting and ball games. The prizes ,the prizes. Oh my god, the depth of fun you want to have when you see the prizes , is unlimited. There are so many lights , next to the beach with crab shops and bars. You cannot go wrong. Being your date , bring your family, go for lunch and take a round at an arcade game of your childhood. You need to be here.

I love Fairyland ! Ive brought my son every year since hes been born ! Sure its a little worn down but I think it adds to the experience ! Im in my twenties and even I feel the magic haha I also really love the fact that you cannot enter unless you have a child with you. Also when purchasing a magic key you never have to buy another one ! We will definitely be returning soon.

I have been coming here for over 30 years. This is one of the last arcades that I know of and is so much fun. Games dont always work, but staff is there to help. Super sad though that I hear this place is going to close in a few years.

Lots of arcade and midway games for just a quarter! Where else can you go to give your kids that old school arcade experience? All the modern arcades are ridiculously expensive whereas this arcade will bring you some nostalgia

This place is a fixture in Redondo Beach. I remember biking down on the weekends from Manhattan to play video games here and at the old Underground Arcade (now the ever changing nightclub down the stairs near Kilkennys).

Original Ms. Pacman and Pacman, Galega along with many other 1980s and 1990s arcade games. This is the ONLY Arcade in the area with many other things you remember, including Carnival Games.

Cool spot to entertain yourself with video arcades, vintage games and rides as well. Old style decoration and set up from the old days of Coney Island type of setting.

They have one nice pier, but the rest is messy. No clean restroom. Its still a fun place with good food. I recommend the hand made churro.
