Nice theatre, I went to see a PG13 movie, just as the movie started a family of 6, (3 adults, 3 children-under the age of 6) came in and attempted to sit in the same row. My spouse and I changed our reserved seats to allow them to sit together. During the movie, the adults were on their phone, the children were playing video games and wondering from seat to seat. After the movie, we reported the incident to customer service and even pointed out the family in the lobby, they had just purchased popcorn and was headed back to the theatre. I was told they were movie hopping, however no attempt to confront the family. As I walked out of the theatre, I thought more about what had happened, I asked for the manager, although he seemed agreeable, there was still no attempt to find and confront the family. It has now been several days and I still have an issue with this, the movie was not meant for children under 13, let alone under 6. This family was going from theatre to theatre all day and not paying, disturbing other paying participates, this is THEFT. At the least the management should have asked for their tickets and had them pay when they could not be provided, and ask them to leave. I would have preferred that the police be called, if only to put some fear into the family. Walk into any store leave without paying for an item and it is shoplifting, this no different! Shame on the family that was movie hopping and Shame on the theatre management for not taking some type of action.

Because of gift cards, I went to this location twice this week. While the seats and the actual theater are nice, this will probably be the last time I go, due to poor service in the lobby and lack of matinee pricing. Both days I went around noon and both days the theater was packed. The line to get concessions was very long. Youd think they would bring in more staff when they figured out that the week after Christmas, their noon showings would be popular early in the week, but the only had half their lanes open. In addition to this, while I know that premium members pay to skip the concession line, to have this offered at the price of the regular line literally not moving at all is ridiculous. They wont serve the regular line until there is nobody left in the premiere line. It took us twenty minutes (yes I timed it because thats how long we had until our move started - not the previews the actual movie) to get our food and there were only four or five families in front of us. It took so long because five premier families came through and they served all of them without letting any regular customers come through. There are many theater options in Jacksonville and I will choose to go to one that will actually take a reasonable amount of time to get my concessions without having to pay extra. Fancy seats arent worth this hassle.

The biggest reason I give this poor review is because it is very humid and hot in their movie theaters. I sweat so much from their hot movie Theaters during the Summer etc. that my arms stick to their fake leather or cheap arm rest. When I have complained at their AMC Regency in Jacksonville Florida they will not make it any cooler and lie to me and say it is 71 degrees when it is more like 78 degrees. I asked them where they take the temperature that said it was 71 degrees and the Manager said none of your business! I said I was willing to bring in a Electric digital temperature gauge to prove how hot it was but he said it would not be accurate and made every excuse possible. This Manager even said I was stealing from the theater when I asked for a pass to come back to make this up to me. He Said would never give me a good will pass again and said that there must be something wrong with me when I reported the heat problem. They are trying to cut their electric bill at the expense of their customers comfort. Also they seem to always send their customer service people home early and all you see is an empty booth station. I had to ask the only person I could find taking the tickets to get hold of a Manager. This I believe is a big reason why AMC sales are going down people are taking their business eleswhere.

Ok, soft plush recliners in every theater!? Heck yes! When I heard that this place actually considers the comfort of patrons, without increasing the price, I knew it was the place I needed to go watch a flick this weekend. Its a surprisingly nice theater in a surprisingly shady area of town and kind of feels out of place in the area. This is a recently renovated theater and has pulled out all the stops from a full bar to recliners that you may just fall asleep on. Its important to know that you absolutely need to get your tickets far ahead of time for any show. We showed up 45 minutes early for a movie which had been out a week and only the very first row had seats available. Even with your seat reclined to a gloriously flat sleeping position, being on the front row can give you nausea. The theater serves alcohol and has some nice decor but everything seems to be slowly wearing down and peeling up at the edges despite trying to keep a high-end look. In this area it feels a bit like trying to put makeup on a pig. The overall effect is okay but you never lose the sense that youre not in a nice area of the city. Its by far the best theater in the city and how can you beat the recliners but its not perfect and I wish I could pick it up and move it to St. Johns county.

We came here to watch a movie but got here extremely early. Almost an hour early so my friend and I decided to grab a beer or 2 before going in to watch the movie. It was a Monday night and we wanted to watch a monday night football game along with other customers at the bar. The bartender Aly was watching her childish WWE and none of the customers were interested and we all wanted to watch the football game. She was extremely rude when we asked her if she could change the channel. She was just staring at the TV and had no customers waiting for her attention. So she can not claim that she was busy. If a customer is paying $9 for a beer and wishes to watch what they ALL wish, the employee should provide that. She is at work and the TV is not for her, it is for her customers. Theatre itself is quite amazing but she brings the atmosphere of this place completely down. Her attitude is unacceptable when it comes to customer service. I wish you all the very best but Ill no longer be coming to this theatre after this incident.

This theater is good during daylight hours. Unfortunately due to the area there are a lot of bored High School age kids who routinely start causing trouble after a certain time at night. I do not recommend going to any movies here that start after 7pm-ish. The fire alarm gets pulled, after the displays for the movies have been trashed and piled up in front of the emergency exits (understandably the fire alarm shuts off all movie projectors in the building). Then during the chaos, cars in the parking lot are broken into, and even stolen. There is a police substation in the mall next door, but they will not confront the guilty party, and will instead be insolent and yell at you for asking them to do their jobs, even when a car is being broken into less than 75 feet away. Its an unfortunate situation, because this theater gives you the ability to reserve seating, and some screens (the non-LIE-MAX ones) have recliner seats that are amazing.
