I only come here a few times a year, when I wanna see certain movies before they hit Netflix. This one is the closest for me and its almost next to Bay Fair BART station and has a huge parking lot, which is a plus. The place itself wouldnt be so bad if it wouldnt stink of popcorn. Ugh, horrible! The moment you walk in the stench of popcorn hits you. I know people love to eat tons of this stuff while watching a movie, but with all the technology and ACs... they could do a better job. Not to mention the mess some people leave behind them. I cant even fathom how their apartments must look like. Disgusting! The stuff does a good job cleaning, though (at least I never walked in on an apocalypse). I wish (for the staffs sake) people werent such pigs. Anyway... I usually buy tickets in advance (you have to pay a "convenience fee" for that, beats me why, but only they know), so I have no idea how buying them just before the show is, but there usually are lines (of parents with kids), so I think it pays to get them in advance. They arent cheap, but if you go earlier in the day its cheaper than in the evening. Matinees are my favourite time to go and see a movie, cause its usually not that crowded (weekends - late afternoons and evenings.. avoid at all costs). Well if its an animated movie that just came out... then it is crowded either way (The Inside Out last Saturday morning was packed with families). Its actually worth waiting at least a week or two, after the movie comes out. I think the ratings would be better, if it werent for the *people* that come. I dont know if its just my luck, but I sometimes manage to encounter really rude specimens, who enjoy talking loud (and on the phone) during the show (hello, security?!). Not to mention rude parents with kids that have absolutely no business watching a movie theyre too young to see. Again... for a few times a year its okay, but to make this a regular experience... nope, I wouldnt recommend.

Eveytime Ive been there was amazing. Except two days ago after our group was discriminated by an African American old woman who alleged that an 8 year old kept on kicking her seat. She was throwing dirty looks at us from the front and disturbed the entire movie by calling security. I tried to explain to the security but they were not hearing us out. We felt mistreated and embarrassed! The movie that was playing was a childrens movie and its unfair and unkind that an older woman spoiled the day for a little kid. Have some sympathy, after all you are in a theatre where a movie for kids is playing! Never going back after that! Not mad at employees just mad at the poor level of sympathy.

I was always iffy about coming to this theatre, its been known to be ghetto at times but my bf and I decided to try it out for the early bird special. We watched Avengers 2 last weekend. The movie on a separate note was not as good as the first movie in my opinion. Anywho this theatre wasnt so bad, at least in the morning it wasnt. The concessions were pretty pricey though not gonna lie. 2 hot dogs and a large drink was about $15...

I bought nachos for like 7 bucks. There was no more trays so I asked if we can have another thing the nachos come in. I was told no because its for inventory. Well I spent a lot of money on nachos and no trays were there for us to use so I think if one is missing in your inventory that would be fine. Thats really not cool customer service. The cashier was nice but that reasoning was not.

great price for a matinee. manager/supervisor at concession stand was helpful & professional. however, the cashier, he didnt even greet us, not even a hello or ask us what we have. just started ringing items up. plus, he got the order wrong. we tried to correct him; but, he didnt want to listen to us. too busy rushing to the next customer. no thank you or enjoy your movie

This is my go to place for movies. The theaters are nice stadium seating with room for your legs. The popcorn is excellent and the "butter" they use is nice. Doesnt have any bad after taste like I have found elsewhere. I find myself just getting popcorn here (even when I am not seeing a movie) when home made just wont do.

Visit this theater on a regular basis, especially for first run movies. Love that there is no age restriction on the snack pack purchase, the price for three items is less that $6. The staff is helpful with questions and dont act hurried. Makes for a pleasant outing.

Love this theatre! Been going here since it opened. Very clean, nice employees, excellent popcorn, icee drinks, ice cream & everythings good. & of course great movies! If youre 2 or more, you can share the large bucket of popcorn & its free refills!

We always enjoy coming here . Clean, friendly staff and Drama free seems like a lot of families with small children or just your average teens having a good time .only thing is the seats could be more comfortable maybe time for an upgrade

Wish the cops werent needed outside on a regular basis, but apparently there are often problems around here. Lobby is getting a bit nasty, but the theaters and seating seem well maintained. Almost never get a bad seat! (-:

All theaters Ive been to with my son they dont charge for kids under the age of 5 but this theater charges kids for 1 years of age and up if you plan on taking yours kids here expect to be charged

I enjoy going to the movies @ Bayfair theres easy access by bus or bart great location.The staff very friendly, courteous, and helpful, but yes i agree the seats could recline just a little bit.

The theater was dirty everybody behind the counter was on there phone I was only person in line I said hello a girl looked at me and looked back down and walked off then the popcorn was burnt

I enjoy this movie theater, parking is easy, seating is really comfortable, we can get tickets online and skip the line (rarely a line though) and Tuesdays are discount price, win win.

It was hard to believe there was no ticket kiosk inside. Not a big deal but Ive gotten used to just bypassing the lines and using the machine.
