Id like to share with others something I learned the hard way at this theater last night...NO ONE UNDER THE AGE OF 6 IS ALLOWED INTO R RATED MOVIES AT THIS THEATER AFTER 6PM. Allow me elaborate. My Husband, myself and our 6 month old son went to this theater to see the 7:35p.m. showing of "Why Him". After having purchased tickets for the movie and our concessions we were denied entrance into the theater. The host apologized that we were sold the tickets for this showing but would not allow us entrance. When the "manager" came she offered us admission to another movie but no apology. We requested a refund for the price of the tickets and the cost of concessions. We asked why we were not informed that we would not be allowed to take the baby in when we bought the tickets. We were standing there with our baby when we bought the tickets. We werent hiding him in any way. She rudely informed us there were signs posted and that we must have missed them. We asked her to show us these posted signs and she was unable to do so. She then claimed that they "must have been removed when they cleaned the windows". We did eventually find the signage stating the policy but not from the "manager". It is fine print on the marquee WAY above the ticket windows. Not in view when standing at the ticket window as the "manager" suggested. She agreed to a refund upon our third request but told us we must return all concessions purchased. I have to wonder did she intend to resell them...? It would seem to me if the business made a mistake and were concerned about good customer service surely a kids popcorn and a small soda wont plunge you into financial ruin if you allowed the customer to keep these items. You cant resell them anyway. You are just adding insult to injury at this point. I asked said "manager" "would you really prefer to lose a customer over this rather than provide good customer service?". To which she replied "Its the policy". At no point did the "manager" ever issue any apology or anything even closely resembling an apology. She seemed upset we wouldnt just go see another movie. It is due to this policy of poor customer that my family will not be returning to this establishment.

Im pretty sure this is the place that used to be called Cinedome (NOT pronounced "chee-neh-DOH-meh" in a fake Italian accent like I used to call it and thought I was being witty). Had a weekday off one day and took daughter here for a matinee. Because it was the first show of the day, we got the Early Bird discount. The total came to $12 -- six bucks each! I thought that was pretty good. I still remember the good ol days when matinees were $3.50. Conveniently located off the freeway, it seems like a fairly decent movie theatre. Im not a movie theatre buff or anything, but I can appreciate cleanliness, decent service and lots of restroom stalls. This place had all that. And as far as popcorn prices go, yeah, theyre up there like most theatres. I would like to add that I appreciate high popcorn prices, it keeps consumption down. There is nothing more annoying than having some loud muncher behind you when you are trying to appreciate a good film!

I have been going to this theater many many years and never had such a bad experience as last night! Took my grandmother, my sister and her friends to see Godzilla and after buying a pop corn, candy and some slushys, the check out girl, Lauryn, had the nastiest attitude. I was astounded! Being friendly, I asked her how she was doing and she ignored me then gave me a very unprofessional dirty look, I asked again thinking she did not hear me and could not possibly be so rude to a costumer and she made a loud smacking sound with her mouth, mumbled something under her breath and rolled her eyes. I was very surprised at the lack of people skills and negativity in a family friendly environment. We will not be returning to this location due to Lauryns rude manners and awful attitude. Very disappointed. Usually the employees are great, but apparently they are now just hiring anyone regardless of if they are adequate.

We went to see a movie on Monday night. (Straight Outta Compton, 9/29 @ 9:20pm) The movie was excellent but the staff at the theatre was horrible. First, when walking up to the booth to pay for the tickets, the employee rolled his eyes at us! When we got the window, he looked between the two of us, slowly put his book down and slowly marked his page before even greeting us. How dare we interrupt his paid book reading session! Never did he smile or even pretend to be pleasant. The man taking tickets at the door was very nice, but again at the concession stand we were treated impassively by the woman with a pink jacket on. I wish I would have read the reviews before we went; we wouldve chose a different theatre..

This has always been one of the better movie theaters in the area. They were one of the first to remodel and improve the facilities as a whole. They have all the different types of movie experiences that include regular, 3D, XD, 3D XD. The staff has always been very friendly and helpful every visit, especially my past one. The facilities are clean and kept up nicely. The food stands are efficient and clean, with plenty of your normal movie snack options. Obviously the biggest complaint about any movie theater are the prices, but if youre smart and go during off peak hours or share food, you can reduce that side of your costs. Overall this is a great theater to go see a movie at!

This used to be my one and only theater in Sac, mainly because its right in between downtown and Citrus Heights/Roseville and you could stop at it quite easily no matter what youve been out doing. Now, in 4 our of the last 5 times Ive gone there, some kind of violent incident has broken out inside the theater, DURING the movie. The last time was so bad the manager stopped the movie and asked everyone to leave; they gave us free passes for another movie. I will not go back to GB16 until they bring in more security guards, especially for the late night movies where people seem to act more out of control.

Not a bad theater, but it seems every time I go, day or night, week or weekend, its always packed full of people. I guess thats to be expected with a movie theater but I go during the week and at odd hours to not experience a shoulder-to-shoulder movie watching experience, so if thats the kind of scenario that you dont enjoy while watching a movie this may not be the best pick. On the other hand, its always clean, the theater is nice and the seats arent uncomfortable. The food and drink options are pretty decent as well, the popcorn is always good and when we ask for extra butter, we get EXTRA butter :)

On January 8th, 2015 while watching a movie at the Greenback thearter my locked vehicle was forced open and some valuables including my cell phone were stolen from my vehicle. The Theater takes no responsibility for this and has no or inadequate security to prevent this. When I called they stated they have had other insidences but they take no responsibility for breakins. I will not visit this facility again due to their lack of responsibility for violence in their parking lot. My recommendation would be to use a safer location if going to the movies.
