Less ratchet and obnoxious local movie goers. Still has a low security for non payers to enter the premises. Kettle Corn is really good and way better than the buttered popcorn. Be wary that you may look up the movie times in Fandango, Flixster, etc. and head to the theatre finding out you dont see the same theatre slots/times specifically at Century Theaters in Hayward. Several times in the past few months I had to talk to the staff that their signs are incorrect. The managers claim they had been having issues with their movie times for a while and still to this day have not done anything about it. Nor do the managers seem to care about the inconvenience of the customers trip being wasted. Dont forget your student I.D. for great discounts when purchasing your ticket. Go early for weekend nights because always seem to be a hassle for anybody going downtown Hayward.

I really liked this place when it opened. I met friends here from time to time to catch movies, its a nice central location for people around the bay area. Unfortunately it just seems to be on a steady downhill run. Pro: easy access parking garage, great goodie selection, reasonable sound quality, comfortable seats, medium sized theater. Near good food options. Con; broken disgusting mens room (I dont think Ive ever been there when the mens room didnt smell of ammonia and theve never been fully clean). Musty smelling theaters with dirty seats. At times some members of the audience can get loud and the staff dont seem to want to do anything about it. I havent given up on it yet, but honestly thats not far off.

Went to the first showing at 11 am and no one at the window to sell tickets until 10:50 an and there was a line that took 20 mins. Ended up buying tix on line but doors were locked so we waited in line again and when we finally got in to the theater at 11:05 am there was no sound. Plus the popcorn and icee machines were not working. Terribly mismanaged and the manager does not care. When this theater first opened it was operated much smoother. Ill give my $50 to a theater in Castro Valley. We WILL not be returning. Get a manager that knows what they are doing!

I always found it ironic that Hayward had one of the nicer theaters in the area on a street with literally nothing else near it worth mentioning outside of Buffalo Bills. Since then the whole area has been on the mend and the down town feels truly alive most hours of the day and night. The area now has great food, a great cafe, a great tap room, and several excellent bars with regular musical events and live shows. Its definitely become a favorite hangout in the area. Come for the great theater, stick around for the great local food and beer!

never really a problem here. the seats are kind of akward. not really made for big people, or people with big butts. ( i have a huge butt myself) nice clean theaters. good deals on concession stuff. sunday they have a church here in the morning. they have free donuts and coffee. tea, bagels. afterwards you can go see a movie for a matinee price. really nice staff. close to the bus stop and all the restaurants parking garage is close by. they have i think senior monday. and cheap day tuesday where its matinee price all day.

I really enjoy attending movies at the Hayward theatre. Im in a wheelchair. The attendants are always very eager to assist me with getting my snacks at making sure that Im set up in the theater. They always come back later to check on me after the movie has started , as well as helping me after the movie is finished. The facility is very clean as well . Ill be adding a Cinemark gift card to my Christmas wish list.

Movies are expensive today no matter what theater you go in. I will say I like the personal attention from the employees at this theater. It usually seems neat and the people do a good job in the concession area. I would like to see bicycle lockers in shopping mall parking lots so a person doesnt have to look for a space to put their car and yet would not have to worry about their bicycle exposed outside.

Nice theater, a staff guy named nick was really friendly and even opened the door for me when I went into the theater, (thats why Im writing this review and b.c he has the same name as me :)). Seats are decent but definitly not like the ones in pacific commons, pretty comfortable. Theaters are clean but sometimes have little pieces of popcorn lying around (but its a theater lol) 4.5/5

Fair priced movie theater, the sound quality is pretty good & the seats are comfy and spacious. The crowds have been respectful for movies (even Finding Dory, which was filled with kids) and the theaters themselves are clean and well-kept. Been here a few times & havent run into any technical issues Ive seen other posters complain about ... perhaps Ive gotten lucky?

Theater itself is ok standard overpriced for food but that is the same as any theater. The problem is parking it is just too far for handicap people despite the close parking spot you still have to walk a long ways to get to the theater. I like to go to the movies by myself but I cant its just too far to go and park and walk by myself, too bad I would go more.

Nice looking theatre. Clean. They now have the discounted matinee pricing of $5.75 on all days, which is before 6pm on weekdays and before 2 pm on weekends. Popcorn was good, but I did NOT like the theatre seats. They leaned back way too far. Someone told me that every other row was like that. But when we switched rows, it was the same.

Overall, a great location for local movies. There are actually a lot of restaurants around the area that are great to complete the entire experience. The theater is a bit dated, but the seats are still okay and sound quality is fine. The parking structure is pretty large and you can almost always find a parking space.

My first cinema experience since I arrived in the US from Nigeria (we have quite a few cinemas over there that are better than this one to be honest). Not the best cinema experience ive had, but still nice. I love the fact that the other viewers were not talking like they do in the country I just came from.

Great theater! Nice clean theaters, helpful staff, and good snacks! After this place opened, I never went back to the theater at Bayfair again . Plus theyve opened several newer restaurants around the area. You can get sushi, burgers, Mexican food, Chinese, Crepes, and wings all in one spot!

Fun place. Good for families or hanging out with friends lol. It is exceptionally good quality considering the placement and the fact its in downtown Hayward. But, despite the few shortcomings...this place holds a piece of my childhood memories that I will always cherish; so thanks.
