Fun and affordable. I took my family here because we wanted to do a zip line, well after further research we found Go Ape and not only do you zip line but you do all kinds of different obstacles way up high in the trees. This isnt a 45 min activity either. You can be here awhile. It took us 3 1/2 hours to get through the course. The activities are fun and some a little harder than others, but you can get through it. This was super fun and a great work out and family time. I am 43 and I was able to get through pretty good. If you are afraid of heights this is a great way to help challenge yourself with it because you have a harness and as long as you do what you are suppose to you wont fall. We did this on Saturday and today is Monday and my muscles hurt in a good way. A true exciting fun challenge and adventure. I read some of these reviews and people are complaining about the staff and the clips and safety. I can say that the staff is great, they are exciting and fun. Before you go out by yourself (and the staff is always going around checking on people) they do a training course, they help you in the harness and tell you 1,000+ times to make sure one clip is always connected to the tree or line before removing the other. There are signs at every single station on how to use your clips and how to do the obstacle. They go through this small intro then take you to a training part where you do a mini zip line and crossing and climb ladders etc. They watch and tell you to do the clips, I undid my d clip first and they told me no, the d clip is first connect and last unconnected. This is why if you are under 15 you have to have adult with you. I took my teenage daughter she is 16 and I would remind her a few times about her clips but after the first 3 stations I didnt, I followed behind her making sure she was all hooked up. This is a parents job. If you cant do that, request to have the instructor with you all the times.
This was a great experience with the exception of the safety clips. We have been to another Adventure park in Asheville, NC that would not allow one to have both clips undone from the main line at the same time. This technology is called "smart belay". Unfortunately, at Go Ape this is not the case. I observed my daughter, who is very comfortable with the clips from rock climbing, standing up on the ledge chatting away with both clips undone and no safety to keep her from falling. I had to stay on her constantly after that watching her every move to make sure she kept one clip on the mainline at all times. As much as we would love to we wont be back until they update the clip system.
The information available at the check-in and on the website does not fully explain the different types of activities at go ape. The staff does a quick and dirty explanation of gear and attachments, but thats about it. Thankfully, nothing was difficult to figure out, but places that charge $62 for unsupervised activities such as these should probably have detailed explanations of said activities available. Oh, and possibly helmets. At the end of the day - this is a great place for people under the age of 25. The staff are friendly and the harnesses were well taken care of.
Worth every penny. We had an excellent experience. The instructors are very friendly, knowledgeable, and safety-conscience. The whole course took the two of us adults about 2 hours. Plan for longer if you are afraid of heights, going with kids, or arent in peak physical condition.
We followed all rules but once their equipment failed on us we were told to leave due to us being proper and a group who had others were able to continue even during there acts of constantly fully un clipping themselves when my group was connected on a line everytime
Fantastic time! It was something very different and it was a lot fun. The staff were very helpful and did an excellent job in explaining the rules and safety. We had Brooks supervise our group and it was an awesome experience. Well be going to the one in kc
Great experience for all of us. We had three adults and 4 youths between the ages of 10 - 13yrs old in our group. This was our second adventure with our kids at Go Ape and tons of fun. If you like a workout and adventure this is for you.
This place was so fun! The person who went through the safety checks was funny and personable. All safety infomation was relayed in a hands one manner. The course was so fun to go through.
Totally Awesome!!! Fun for all ages, definitely physical, be prepared but 4 actual zip lines (1 training, should not be counted ) climbing trees, doing obstacle courses.... fun fun..
Go Ape Creve Coeur is amazing. The instructors are wonderful. They make sure you know what youre doing before you get out there. Thumbs up to Josiah!
Second time there with my grandson and my boyfriend, awesome time as always! We are 61 and 55 with a 15 yr old. Dont be afraid of heights.
Awesome experience! Even better for the price! Super fun way to face your fears and try new things. Staff was super helpful and supportive!
Everyone was VERY friendly and helpful. Dan was an AWESOME instructor! The whole family had a blast!
Lots of fun. Unfortunately 1 run was closed and long waits at each stop.
Loved it. Cant wait to go back....when the heat index is NOT 110!
Fun but a bit pricey. At over $50 per person one time is enough.
