First I want to say that this is a rescue and rehabilitation farm so those who have said the animals look sickly and not taken care of are too quick to judge and did not do their research before coming here. The animals that have been there a long time look healthy as can be, its the ones still being treated because they were just rescued from abusive homes that look ill. The price of admission is really not expensive but consider every dime you spend here as a donation going to help animals in need. I went with my family and spent around an hour and half but we rushed a little due to the heat. We all had a lot of fun and enjoyed all the different types of animals. Those who dont know anything about alpacas ..they spit so when you approach one watch it for signs of it being uncomfortable, there is one there who is spit prone but it is because of people getting him to spit before feeding him at silver springs. They have pony rides and camel rides that look fun we didnt do these though.

The animals were well cared for and healthy, and there were enough animals for younger children to get their farm experience fill. My children are age 6-8. This was a good age to visit with, but younger children and slightly older children would definitely enjoy this petting farm too. My younger boy could have stayed for many, many hours feeding and visiting with the animals. My older son is not as into animals anymore and was ready to go after an hour and a half. I wished we lived closer, because this would be a good homeschooler field trip for locals. You could observe the animals and bring a journal to write in at the picnic benches they have. They take credit cards, but it is more convenient to have cash if you are purchasing animal feed or refreshments.

I took my dogs there recently to get their rabies vaccine done from the Teaching Zoo that frequents here and my mother-in-law did as well. We live separate and our dogs dont get a long so they are never near each other - the next day after coming to this location, both of them had eye infections. While I dont expect any place to be pristine especially with so many animals - I certainly think its disgusting that some sort of virus or bacteria is circling and infected our dogs. A hefty vet bill, antibiotics and eye drops later and theyre alright - luckily it wasnt something worse! Will not recommend this location ever!

Paid $32 to bring kids and after ten minutes got spit on by a llama. I would say it was more like vomit and I got totally covered.I walked 20 more feet and saw the warning sign that the llama has a spitting problem. Newsflash no paying customer wants to deal with this "problem". Use good business sense and keep this animal away from families trying to enjoy a nice day in Ocala. Had to go back to gi back to hotel change, shower and wash my vomit smelling clothes before I could go out to dinner. Hopefully this helps someone else from getting their day ruined.

It was okay for what they charge they should have someone go around and tell the kids about the animals and where they are from at least this way the little kids walk away with an experience. Considering what they charge to see the animals they need to have more than just a couple of signs say what animals the kids are seeing instead of 6 the parents having to Google what animals are being exhibited. The other thing is that they charge quiet a bit for the pony rides and they only walk them around 2 laps of the small rink Pony rides not worth the price.

My 1st time visiting and overall my kids had a great time. The staff was very friendly. I do think if they had some sort of tour guide to give some information about the animals it would make it a nicer experience. I highly recommend you spray bug spray on yourself if you attend because the horse flies and mosquitoes are ridiculous! Also wear closed toe shoes because fire ant hills every where.

It is a small petting zoo but the staff was very friendly and our 16 month old loved it. It is reasonably priced and a great local thing to do. The swing sets were not rusty and dangerous as a previous review stated, they were just the metal swing sets but perfectly safe to use. The animals were all sweet and looked well cared for. We will definitely be back!

This place should be turned over to the humane society , I could see the ribs and bones on the kangaroo. The horses looked awful , have not been groomed , animals looked sick. We werent able to pet the rabbits. What a waste of time and certainly money . Go to the nearest park instead, unless you bring animal control with you

Its a bit of a drive outside Ocala but worth the trip! There were quite a few animals to see and the woman working was very friendly. I gave it a 3 instead of 4 because of the drive and a few minor things. I am never impressed when someone is smoking near kids or in a "kid-friendly" environment.

Great little petting zoo! Low cost and we all had a good time! A bunch of different animals to interact with and see. And fun fact, all the animals at this place are rescues. So definitely a good cause while youre enjoying some cute animals.

Not impressed at all!! Brought my two children here and it was a waste of money and time. The animals looked sick and I felt horrible for them. We stayed for maybe 20 minutes before my 5 year old asked to leave. We wont be returning.

Good number of animals to pet and feed though I wish there were more interactive areas instead of so much through the fences. Also would have been great if there were signs with the kinda of animals they all were!

A good variety of animals for children to see and lots of large and friendly well taken care animals. Reasonable cost to visit and good to see funds are going toward good care of the critters there.

There is a naughty lama in the back that was abused at another petting zoo.... rescued here. All other animals are super friendly and we are glad we came. Highly recommend!
