Loved the place, location and grounds. The view from our porch of the bay was beautiful. The grounds are immaculate. There were not many guests which is a plus but we did go during the week. The staff is very friendly. We did not eat in the restaurant at the resort but it looked very nice. The only negatives were that they need to replace the sliding doors to the porch, which was hard to open and difficult to see out of since the seal between the panes were broken and they are cloudy, and they need to paint some of the weathered wood outside. It looks like they are redoing the golf course so maybe the rooms will be given attention next. Overall it was a wonderful place to get away and relax. We would definitely come back!

My boyfriend surprised me with this getaway. Overall, the resort was okay. The front desk were extremely friendly and helpful. After asking if there was a great crab place around, they suggested this local restaurant called chesapeake bay which was awesome which was awesome. The view from the 600 suite was beautiful. All you could see was water. However, the cleanliness was not the best and my boyfriend informed them when we left. The front desk and management appreciated the notification and gave us 25% off our next visit which is a good deal. We were pleased, next time will be bringing my parents to enjoy the peaceful getaway as well as requesting extra cleaning.

If you dont go in your own vehicle, be aware that the menu is very limited. There are no shuttles in to town and no taxis. There is no gift shop where one can buy a book , a magazine, souvenirs -nothing. Laundry facilities are available in town, but if you have no way to get there, make sure you take plenty of clothes. The restaurant was closed for lunch because of a conference held there. The only other choice was the golf clubhouse where they served a few sandwiches and sides. Oh! The kitchen closes at 3:00. Dont expect to enjoy the waterfront by the restaurant with friends. They start turning the lights off and make you feel unwelcome after 9:00.

We booked three rooms for a Saturday night and the lady was very nice and helpful. She sent confirmations right away and was pleasant and professional. We informed our friends that we booked the rooms and they sent us the money. Then we got a call back later saying that they were cancelling our reservation because "oops we actually have a two night minimum that weekend." I understand the two night minimum but we should have been told that up front and not been able to book one night in the first place. Very frustrating experience, especially since we were booking for more than just my wife and I.

I visited 2 years ago and Google just asked me to write a review - the views were absolutely breathtaking. You can not find more beautiful scenery in the area. However, the entire place needs a significant update from the dining room to the bedspreads. From what I hear they are undergoing a renovation which is much needed. We also had a problem with pricing - they promised me a rate but they could not deliver it the second night and would not budge. It was weird because they were not sold out - so we left. There are plenty of other places to stay in the area.

Rude and unhelpful at the front desk. The view was great, but we got into the room, and it smelled musty and sour like water had gotten into the pad under the carpet. This smell wasnt new, and I cannot believe the hotel would rent a room in such intolerable condition. They moved our room which had a refrigerator in it, and then when I brought food to our new room, there was no refrigerator and they tried to charge us for one! I am not picky about my lodging, but I would never stay at this place again.

The best part about coming here was leaving! For the price, we expected a nice resort hotel room, not a bayside motel from the 1980s. The staff were unhelpful and the food was terrible. We arrived on Friday night and were the only people in the dining room. No surprise there after tasting the food. If your resort is on the Eastern Shore of MD and you cant make a crab cake, thats bad. The breakfast buffet was just as bad. The golf course was okay but nothing special.

Dont know what is going to happen to this resort. We had our wedding there in 15 and all went well. Returned for our anniversary and the golf course is closed for renovation (no mention of this on their website) and rumors are that the whole resort is going to be rebuilt. Otherwise it is in a fantastic location and within biking distance of the town of St. Michaels.

Harbourtowne Resort was a very nice place to stay. We went during the off season and paid less to stay there then we would have at a regular hotel. We stayed in a room located "on the point" and it offered a gorgeous view of the Chesapeake. I would go back in a heartbeat.

A nice, quiet, peaceful place with great views, nice simple and clean rooms and good service. Id recommend it to anyone and will be back. Try and catch a groupon deal. The golf course is being renovated right now. The restaurant is pretty good. Try the blackbean burger.

Checked in last night for weekend getaway and so disappointed. What a letdown -- Room reeks of mildew, cheap indoor/outdoor carpeting, old bathroom, not even a closet. Makes Hampton Inn look posh.

Came for the statt of our honeymoon, and everything was perfect! It is a very relaxing location, and they have outdoor fire pits, kayaks, paddle boards and bikes to use free of charge!

Incompetent. Rude. Unhelpful. A crying shame that such a gorgeous property is run by a bunch of blank-faced, clueless, hapless folks who couldnt have been less helpful or more rude.

Good place to stay for a day or two. Small town with sights that can be seen quickly and close to each other. King rooms were nice and had a great view of the water.

Spectacular views and gorgeous grounds, however the accommodations themselves are simply adequate. Clean and certainly serviceable but standard "hotel" in feel.
