Today, when ordering your movie tickets and reserving your seats on line has become a standard service, why does the Grove charge more and provide less? Although I frequent the Arclight, I wanted to take my family to see Creed and it was only playing at the Grove. I am not a snob about movie theaters, but I have grown accustom to reserving tickets on-line and arriving at the theater just before show time. Dont pretend you can do that at the Grove. It is not the fault of the theater, but you cant get into the parking lot without waiting 10 minutes in line during the holidays (so we spent $20 on valet parking to get in on time). When I ask my wife where are the tickets she tells me the Grove tickets had to be ordered through Fandango and we need to pick them up at the box office (they do not send an emailed or texted version of the ticket, and for this they charge you $1.50 service fee per ticket). When we get to the theater and 3 of the 4 automated ticket machines are broken down so we need to get in the regular ticket line. So after waiting in 2 ticket lines, paying $4.50 in service fees and $20 for valet we got to go to the movie. Not a good experience, my guess is the management goes to the Archight to see movies.

I was waiting for my girlfriend and I asked to buy a drink. Then I was looking for the restroom. One of the security guard, ran after me and said out loud "sir, do you have a ticket"...everyone looked at me as if I am the guy who was trying to sneak inside the movie theater. I do not blame her for thinking that because I was staring at the movie name while I was looking for the restroom. But I dont think she handle the sutuation professionally. She should have came up to me quietly and asked for my ticket but instead she tried her hardest to let everyone think that I was trying to sneak in. I mean, dont these security guards get training on customer service. I was not even inside the movie theater. I think hiring security guards with no people skills and no customer service skills are more harmful to the theater industry which is a hurting industry. My girlfriend wanted to see THOR so I we went ahead and watched it anyway but If it was up to me I would rather download the movies since these movie theater managers do not make sure their employees are trained in dealing with other customer. IT WAS THE WORST FEELING I HAVE EVER FELT IN A MOVIE THEATER. If you do not want to be harass, I would suggest you go somewhere else.

Are you kidding me with these reviews??? This is the worst movie theater by far that I have never been to. You have a bunch of punk kids that work here that do NOT care about the customer at all. I complained about a employee that was so busy talking to a few other employees while she was pushing her cart and she ran into me and hit my cast on my broken arm. The girl just looked at me and went back to talking to the other employees. When I talked to the manager about this, he just looked at me with a blank look and did absolutely nothing about it. I will NEVER go to this theater ever again. I have talked with friends that live in the area and they told me they have noticed the same problem with the employees.

For the outrageous price of ticket its a terrible experience. First, there are always at least two or more self service machines out of order so you must plan to add 10 minutes to pick up a ticket. If Arclight and Delta can use tickets on the mobile why cant the theatre? Second, the bathrooms always look and smell like war zones. It is disgusting. Finally, the employees do not help patrons find seats especially after the movie starts. There are always groups of employeees huddled in hallways but unlike Arclight they dont give a darn how people fumble in the dark to disrupt the move. It is all unavceptable for the overpriced ticket fee.

I do like Pacific Theatres for the simple reason its close enough to walk to so never have to pay for parking! The seats are pretty comfy and they usually keep it clean with friendly helpful staff. Now I must admit that its getting a little rundown since it needs a little sprucing with painting, new carpeting, MAJOR seat cleaning or replacement but you know its usually dark so you cant SEE the thread bear interior so its an out of sight out of mind but Im serious some of the seats are crazy gross with old gum/stains so always come early enough to eyeball everything! bwa ha ha

i would not recommend anything from the concessions. Its very dirty and unsanitary. I saw one of the employees come out of the side door of the kitchen, and there were boxes that seemed to be thrown about carelessly. I thought to my self "Now do i really want to eat something that came out of that kitchen?" Also the way they clean their 3-D glasses is disgusting. They use some kinda spray to spray a whole bulk of them then proceed to wipe them with dirty rags. I was almost to scared to put them on my face before i cleaned them my self with a moist towelette.

You shouldnt go to Pacific theater. I was watching a rated R movie (IT) and my mom had a call from someone which was very important. After she went out, the employee came to us and she asked where our parents was. So, we said that our parent was outside doing something very important. The employee was checking our tickets and she said I want you girls to come out. It was the main part of the movie but the employee was waiting next to us. so we had to go out. We paid for nothing. My mom just wasted her money!!??

Gawk! Ive never seen such a terrible movie theater in the whole of my entire existance as a human being. The projection quality is excellent and the theater is staff is incredibly helpful. The Pop corn really made me and my wife angry as hell, because it is so fresh and wonderful! The seats in the theater were absolutely terrible!! The seats are definitely the most comfortable aspect of the experience. This place is terrible. I wouldnt recommend this theater to my greatest enemy!! Overall, I give it an A-.

My friend and her son just had a horrible experience at the groove theater. A elderly white lady with her husband began to say racist remarks to her because of her skin color. She even had the security guard remove my friend and her son without reason. Once my friend explained what happened the security guard and the manager tried to apologize and give her free tickets. This is upsetting, the manager should of removed the racist lady instead of trying to cover this issue with a free movie.

I actually love this movie theater. The parking is good because you can get validated for a few extra hours since you are seeing a movie. I have no complaints about this theater . I think it is kept clean and its in the middle of the Grove which always gives you the option of catching a movie after you shop and grab a bite to eat. I have never had a problem with the staff here , however my friend said she got into an argument with one of them under a misunderstanding on their part.
