This casino used to pay a great amount of money at the games especially in the high limit room. Since June of this year they have re-chipped the machines and no longer are paying out. The penny machines throughout the rest of the casino are actually sometimes more expensive than the machines in the high limit room? Dont bother with this place unless you plan on losing ALL the money you take. Used to be worth going to. The promotions they run are a farce! Every employee has a different story about the promotions, nobody gives you a straight answer about the promotions. You can look online at the slot machines that hit in real time and it is usually the same old machines, most are $25 machines or $27 machines that pay out $1200 after dumping upwards of $3-5 K into them. Trust me this is a complete waste of money. Even Vegas lets you win a little, not this place. Every restaurant in the casino sucks horribly, the buffet is a complete joke, dont bother asking for crackers or tartar sauce, they do not have it so the lazy employees say. The food at the buffet is gross, I have been to the buffet many times and have heard from fellow gamers about others getting sick after eating there. Mobys is a complete JOKE!! We waited 45minutes for two foot long hot dogs and that was not the first time we waited that long. I turned around and walked out of Starbucks because there was one person in front of me and the two buffoons working were both making one drink at a time. The PY Steakhouse staff was very condescending to us because we werent dressed well enough to be in there. I have sent e-mails, and comment cards with no response. Some people say maybe I am the 1% that can never be satisfied? I used to spend upwards of $2 K each week there, I have the means to afford it and actually enjoyed the casino until I started to lose every single time I go out there. My friend and I have decided to not go back. I cant understand why management would screw up a good thing that they had there, it really makes no sense to me why they would run the high rollers out with re-chipping the machines. I thought long and hard before posting this review. I concluded that maybe someone out there like myself who can afford to game for $1-2 K a week should have a BIG HEADS UP!! THIS PLACE HAS CHANGED ALOT!! Do not waste your money. What a shame because the other local casino is just as bad, except their buffet is good.

My wife and I stayed at Casino del Sol Tuesday to see the Beach Boys concert. More on that later. We are both reformed smokers, so we are extremely sensitive to cigarette smoke. During our stay, we went to three different restaurants and never encountered any smoke. Even in the casino, the ventilation system worked very well. If you sat down next to someone smoking you could smell it, but other than that--no issues. Everyone we encountered on the hotel staff was cordial and helpful (except maybe the concert security personnel)--especially Gilbert Ponce at the Oasis Pool Bar. Food prices were low and the quality was very good. Drink prices were also very reasonable. We will definitely go to this resort again. Now to the concert. We were poised on our computer waiting for 10:00 AM the day the tickets went on sale. As soon as we logged on the vast majority of the sections were listed as "not available." We ended up with Lawn seats. Unfortunately rude people though "lawn" meant you could stand near the railing in front on the lawn thus blocking the view of the people on the lawn. When we asked them to move, we were threatened by hotel security with removal from the concert. Lawn should mean lawn--if you have a lawn ticket you should be on the lawn; not blocking everyone else who is on the lawn. This policy needs to change. The standers should have been expelled for being rude--not the people asking them to sit down. Then we wondered why all the sections were listed as "unavailable" when the venue was one-third empty for the concert. If the casino is withholding tickets for high rollers, it should make them available to everyone the day of the concert.

This place is HORRIBLE! I absolutly do not recommend it. I had my wedding reception there 3 weeks ago. we found out one week before the weeding there was going to be a college pool party the same day. Our event planner assured us that it would not interfere with the reception. Well that was a bunch of crap! It took us 20minutes to get down the elevator because there was a bunch of drunk kids holding it up. There were people urinating on the windows, girls having oral sex in the elevators while my 10 year old nephew was there and also flashing, harassing and much much more. Oh, dont let me forget that someone almost vomited on my wedding dress! When we spoke to our so called event planner, or the hotel manager on duty they told us they would comp our rooms. And 2 days later they charged us anyways. It took us 2 hours to take pictures because the staff was still cleaning up around the pool from the party. We had problems from the beginning with the event planning staff. They are incompetent idiots and always point the finger at eachother. No one takes accountability. My wedding day was ruind and I can never get that day back. Michelle Morales and Leann are horrible to work with and so is everyone else there! The only reason I gave this place one star is because the serving staff especially Lori was amazing. The higher staff should take some notes on customer service from her. Im done calling around to complain about them because even the highest position feels the $10000 I spent is insignificant so my opinion doesnt matter. I hope this review helps. I dont want anyone else to have to experience such UNPROFESSIONALISM.

I love this place! So much better than desert diamond and they have a better ventilation for the smokers. I like the staff and bartenders they are quick and remember u as well as the bj dealers. The food is great (abuelitas and tequila factory are the same kitchen) bot are great but abuelitas a lil cheaper. Only place that has a roulette table (not live) and they do not ha e capped liquor dispensers like desert diamond. Always have greats concerts at Ava and live bands on the inside at the paradise bar with great tv set up. They have a new hotel coming which looks to be excellent on 11/11/11. Great place for fire works on july 3rd but make sure ur kids use the bathroom as the casino will not let them in after the fireworks are over (BS in my opinion). Reasons I don't give a full rating, they need better projectors at ava during PPV boxing events! They use to let u watch inside and now they through us out in the heat with crappy projection TVs. Also this is the only place I have been to that does not have budlight or budwiser on tap! They use to! As u can tell I been going there for a LONG time! Overall great place!

I visited casino del sol on July 17, 2015 around 6:00PM. I took my mother to play at the slot machines. While playing at one of the machines I tried to cash out my voucher for $13.50 but the voucher got stucked. I pressed the button for assistance several times but after about 20 minutes I had to ask the security guard to call assistance. The first lady that came in to help asked me what the amount of my voucher was I told her it was between $13-$14 but I didnt know the exact amount, she stated the only voucher stuck was for $12 so I told her I was fine with that and wasnt going to argue over a dollar, to which she replied she still needed to get her manager for my refund. The manager came in only to tell me that she couldnt give me the voucher because the one stuck was for $13.50 and "I had said $12" this was all in front of the first lady whom i had clearly told between $13-$14 the first time. Their second argument was also that the times didnt match, well maybe if they hadnt taken over 45 minutes to get the assistance I needed. I will never come back to this casino, zero customer service whatsoever.
