My husband and I had a little weekend getaway here. We live about 2 hours from this place. We booked at the last minute, but it was $200 for a 1 night stay. Here I was thinking this was going to be an amazing hotel if its $200/night! We arrived, check in was easy and staff was pleasant. We get up to our room and wow was it a disappointment! It is DEFINITELY NOT $200 worth! I get better hotel rates in Vegas with a nicer room! I do like how the hotel has adjoining rooms even though we didnt have use for it (just good to know for future reference). The ONLY thing I liked about the room was the shower. There was no hotel information book in the room because apparently they have iPad in "some" of the rooms. They had no comment card. Personally, I like having the hotel information booklets so that I know what the hotel has to offer! If youre relying on the iPad for that information than make sure to put an iPad in the room! So that was annoying. My husband and I had dinner at the Flame Brazilian steakhouse place. It was good. Ive been to better but it wasnt bad. I wouldnt go again for what we paid though. Our waiter was cool. He was very accommodating. But we sat right next to the bar and there was a female bartender there that was so obnoxious! I hated having to listen to her yap the whole time we were having dinner. Believe me, I left a comment about that with the restaurant! The casino was kind of small but it was clean and nice. They have a non-smoking section which is amazing. They have plenty of bars so getting an alcoholic beverage was convenient. The waitress also came around and so I was able to order drinks with her too. I wanted a lemon drop martini that at one of the bars, the bartenders didnt know how to make. Lmao. Why are you a bartender if you dont know how to make a simple lemon drop? And why didnt you find out how to make it instead of telling me you know how to make it and then coming back to me and telling me that you actually dont know how to make it? Poor service as far as that. I didnt leave a tip Ill tell you that! But eventually we found a bartender who knew what he was doing and he introduced me to a new drink that I ended up having the rest of the night. He was also very friendly so we made sure we kept going back to him and tipped him well. I love the convenience of charging to my room so that I didnt have to keep swiping my debit card for drinks. I ended up about $100 more than I went in with so that made me happy. Im not usually a gambler. I won my money at the blackjack machine upstairs by the no smoking area....I always want to play blackjack when I go to the casinos but I never do because its so intimidating so I was very happy that they had this machine. It built up my confidence but I still wont play at the tables. Lol. All in all, my husband and I had a good time here. Hotel isnt worth the price we paid for it but this is a nice place. It was disappointing but we made the best of it.

My wife and I stayed at the hotel and resort for just one night, (a gift from my in-laws) to get away from everyday life...Of course it was still there waiting on us when we got back, but that was ok. The room we had was a king size bed non-smoking room. The room was beautiful. When you open the door to your room the presentation is really something. The bathroom has sliding doors that were slightly opened creating about a 10" opening into the bathroom. All you could see when you walked in to your room was this light on in the bathroom that you could see through the small opening of the doors. The light was Illuminating these built in shelves with a nice plant upon them. The bathroom was amazing like I said before. When sliding the doors apart you are greeted with this large room and a large reflection of yourself in the mirror thats is above the entire length of the large sink/counter top. To your left was a huge shower with all clear glass walls and door, with a corner seat and beautiful tile work. On the right was a small toilet room. The main room was just as nice, the large window at the far end of the room had a nice view of the casino entrance (better than the parking garage view you would get on the north side). The king size bed was so comfortable, it had to be a memory foam hybrid with springs. The night stand on either side of the bed are built into the headboard and have 3 electrical plugins and 2 USB charger ports built in to the top of the night stand. So know need to bring chargers unless you just want to. We didnt watch TV, but it was a very nice LG flat screen with HDMI hookups so you can hook your laptop or PS4 in to it. Lol The room has a safe, fridge, and all the other stuff most hotel rooms have. The only thing I wasnt quite happy with was the friendliness of some of the employees (eg. Security guys in the grey shirts and the girl in the main lobby cussing real loudly about who knows what) Im sure the latter was an isolated insedent, but as an employee of a 4 star resort you just cant act like that and I would think that all employees would be nice and respectful when you say hi or good morning. But, all in all we had a great time and the room was absolutely amazing. The food in the sports bar was great as well.

This is by far the best casino my husband and i have been to in the OKC area and we have been to most all of them! We dont go to "hit it big" and dont spent alot of $$ trying. We just like to gamble and have a night away from the kids once a month and this is a great place to do just that! Weve been here 6 times in the last 6 months. The casino is big and doesnt feel cramped or too smokey. Good variety of slots throughout and video poker is upstairs. The poker room is upstairs and pretty much the same as any other poker room. The men always underestimate the girls. :) The buffet isnt great but you can get a discount with your players card. My husband likes the sports grill. You have to pay for your drinks like all OK casinos but they arent as watered down as some. Usually have beer specials. (house for a buck in april) Free self serve pop. Firelake has plenty of table games, even craps and roulette, but you have to pay a .50 cent ante, which sucks, BUT every other month they have NO ANTES!!! We went in Jan., had to pay antes, Feb., no antes, Mar., antes, and in April they are having no antes again, so i guess this is an ongoing thing. If i had known this, i would have quit going to Riverwind long ago. Makes the extra drive to Shawnee well worth it. Now, for the slots. . . none in Oklahoma pay well at all but it seems i can play longer on my money here, even if i eventually lose. Ive only been 4 times but ive won more here than at Riverwind, Lucky Star and Newcastle combined. ( hit a $400 win once) I played on a quarter machine for 3 hrs with 40 bucks. Never been able to do that at any other casino in OK, usually its gone in 15 minutes! We each take $100 and that will usually last us a good 6 hrs. One of us usually wins on the slots or tables (mostly tables), so we can come close to even. If you are going out for a fun time and not to pay your house payment, this is the place i would go. Its worth the drive to shawnee!
