I have stayed at this hotel three times in the last six months for business… Im not sure why I continue to stay at this hotel other than to get a great rate as I travel for business.... from the nightmare of it being constantly understaffed on the hotel side... to the tight slot machines i never win on...nothing offered as comps when you checkin.... I saw the parking lot was pretty much empty and asked if I could get an upgraded room since it wasnt being used anyway their response was they want to charge me $10 to upgrade I could go on and on ! And forget about trying to get a towel at the front desk they send you to the "guest services desk "then when you walk over there theres a sign saying to see the front desk, and then you have to wait about 15 minutes for someone to slowly walk to the front to hand you a cheap looking towel. All the while in employee of the casino stands there and watches you sit there and wait when you asked the person do you work here and he says "not on this side "and then walks away. You have a line with six people in it and one front desk clerk ....its just poorly staffed and ran. I left another negative review on yelp after my last stay and wasnt contacted by the hotel at all, its like they dont care, I got so frustrated standing at the guest services desk that I called the hotel on their telephone to ask for a manager and guess what I held for 10 minutes and then was told that the only manager on duty is the front desk clerk who had a line of six people in front of them which is the original reason I was calling!!unbelievable ....Avoid!!

HORRIBLE experience. We decided to go out and do some gambling, and we have enjoyed the Deswert Diamond casino in the past, so we went there. After playing a few machines, a security guard came up to me to ask to see my ID. This is understandable, as it happens to me sometimes as I look a bit young for my age. I am in my late 30s but can be confused for a college student. So I gladly gave her my ID, joking about how I like being confused as being younger. The security guard was all stern and not being nice in return. So, ok I can deal with that. Got my ID back. Seems like she was unconvinced despite my valid state ID. she continued to talk to security. Afterwards she would stand by and stare at my wife and I as we played, as if we were criminals. We finished up at the machine and left. Never going back to this casino with horrible customer service at the most basic level. doesnt help that these reservation casinos are always the tightest slots anywhere. weve played in laughlin, reno, and Las vegas...this place is worse than the casinos on the vegas strip, which is absurd, as the vegas strip casinos, you figure they need to be like that because their costs are higher by probably 100 fold.

Dropped $300 bucks in slots and was tapped out. A friend found a 22 cent ticket in a 25 cent machine and gave it to me. I found another 18 cent ticket on the floor and put them both in the nickel keno machine. When I finished playing off the 40 cents and got up to leave with my friend, the Casino Manager approached me and told me that I was barred from the casino for 24 hours for stealing even though I dont feel I did anything wrong. When I tried to explain to him how we acquired the 40 cents, he seemed condescending to me. When I told him that I had played a a big chunk of money that night, it didnt phase him. He treated me like some kind of criminal. He had security follow me to the door! I have never been treated so rudely in any other casino that Ive ever visited. I asked him if me being barred was his call or the house rules and he informed me smugly that it was his call...Ive got one word for that night manager...rude! I like the casino, but I have no respect for an employee who doesnt realize a warning would have been a more appropriate response to an honest mistake.

bedding need to be replaced. too worn. Food too expensive. Buffett not worth the price and their personnel is rude. To include the casino porters and servers. I understand they have to pick up the trash around the machines, but they they need to be more tactful. I am a frequent visitor, living a few blocks away, and I have been sitting for a machine for HOURS, 2, 3, 4 and not once been asked if I wanted a drink. If you turn on your light for a drink, be prepared to wait and hour or two for service, if you are lucky enough for someone to respond. Do not get a soft drink for the carts. They are lukewarm and water down and they servers look at you as if you are bothering them if you ask for a drink. Yes, speaking from personal experience. I am a Diamond member of this casino. Their VIP room also is horrible. take a little drive down south and go to the Diamond on Pima Mine Rd. the difference is like night and day!

SAFETY WARNING/ALERT! BUGS! WORSE,BED BUGS!! YOU GOTTA READ THIS REVIEW! I always enjoy myself, along with my fiance when we play at the Desert Diamond Casino.I would recommend it to any Tucson visitor (over the age of 21 of course!) I was born and raised here in Tucson so I know the places to be and the places to go so anybody who wants to have some fun playing the tables or the slots, check it out BUT, MOST IMPORTANT..... DO NOT STAY IN THEIR HOTEL! I mean this people DO NOT LET YOUR FRIENDS OR FAMILY MEMBERS STEP FOOT IN THE ACTUAL HOTEL!! Bed bugs is not an old bed time saying;unfortunately, bed bugs exist and are in fact inside the Desert Diamond Casino Hotel. I am just trying to save you from the terrible experience of getting bed bugs! You can look them up but just know it took my grandma years to completely get rid of them and hundreds of dollars. Hey just a warning to all gamblers.

I have stayed many times at the hotel at least 40+ times since 2015 but the last 10 times the rooms are showing signs of being run down. There is no pride in the up keep of the rooms. The front desk employees especially a couple of the young girls never smile, not friendly, never looking to go above and beyond. I asked on one of my stays about having something heated in microwave since my room didnt have none and the girl said NO. My mouth dropped. I have asked before during a late night and an older lady behind the front desk was kind to help. So bottom line is DDCAZ please improve the quality of pride your housekeeping dept needs help. Rooms are not like they use to be. Its like you have a new manager in the housekeeping department.

This casino SUCKS.... I did not even want to give one star....the drinks suck...the service sucks....the attendants walk right by you even when you call to them...this casino NEVER pays unless you play bare minimum...dont bother coming here if you like to bet high...you have to be poor to win here....and lets not forget to mention the drug deals and blatant prostitution....I wont go to my car by myself...and I sure as hell will not go to my car with security...they are worse than some of the low lifes that come here....word of advice...close your doors for a few weeks...clean the f@#k out of your dirty ass casino...fire your staff and hire decent people...then maybe you will get the clientele that Del Sol gets
