Visited this course with a friend to hit a bucket of balls after hearing great things about it. After hitting irons off the practice mat, I switched to my driver and teed one up on the grass. After crushing a drive, the "range marshal" steps out of the little shack and yells "Get back on the mat!". I walked over to visit with the marshal and asked for an explanation since I wasnt damaging the course in any way. He responded "Because I told you so", "You must be one of the people running stop signs here too." Not the treatmeant I was expecting after paying $8 for a bucket of half cracked range balls. Im sure this course has better sides of it but I did not receive a good first impression. Im leaving 2 stars for the food/beer and for the friendly customer service at the restaurant.

Only problem with Patty is the four hour, nine hole round. I know were all here to have fun, but if its taken you ten strokes to get to the 150 mark, pick up and go putt. Great muni course considering the amount of play it gets. Peak and Plains courses are very good, Prairie is a bit easier. Great staff, pro shop, and lessons. Range is looking a bit worn since water restrictions were put in place. Nice pitch and chip practice area though. My summer (and spring and fall and sometimes winter) happy place.

My daughter who is almost seven wanted to golf today but the management would not let her on the course. We live in Monument and normally golf Kings Deer or Perry Park. In fact, the old white supremacist geezer announced over the loud course-wide speaker not to let her on. Guess Michelle Wie didnt have this experience. Her eyes filled with the biggest tears when she heard this. Awful.....

The course is lovely however there are downsides to playing. No enforce. 5 to 6 hour rounds are not an exception. Tee shirts, 5 some, singles are all acceptable. Driving range is a sham. Mats only all year. Other than that, the course is maintained. Oh I forgot, they have Marshall...all of which should be in jail if lack of enforcement was a crime.

One of my favorite golf courses in Colorado. The staff are friendly and always helpful. Even though the course if very popular, they have an extra nine-hole course where they keep every other tee-time open specifically for walk-ons. Very good value for money. The clubhouse is great also. Good selection of beer and the food is not bad either.

This is the only golf course in America that closes their driving range at 6:30 in the summer. The management is a bunch of old grumpy men that have zero Customer service. Its a shame because the course is very nice. The bartenders and waitresses in the clubhouse are very nice though.

The course is kind of a cow pasture, but you cant beat the price. The only problem with the price is that sometimes the course moves like a funeral procession, but hey, thats what you get when you dont have enough money to join a club.

Only go here during the week! Weekends are super packed and the course doesnt enforce pace of play. During the week, though, this is a beautiful place to play, the course is pretty open and the views are amazing.

Best public course around! If you go at "peak" times expect a delay in play. Just enjoy the great Colorado sunshine and the great views. Ps. Try to the hit cars when you tee off on peak! Haha happy golfing.
