Am I the only one who went and saw that a lot of the animals arent being taken care of properly? The food/water dishes are nasty. There was a deer with no food in the cage with wild turkeys. The wolf was all alone. and some monkeys were alone. These are social creatures and they can go into depression just like humans. The space is not adequate at all for the bigger animals. I see the animals away from the feeding area being neglected and having social animals alone is cruel! I can not believe what I saw and I will never go back. These people are mean for letting these animals stay in the conditions they are in. If you go and see these conditions and you keep visiting with no complaints, then you are no better than the people who hurt, captured, and sold these poor animals. Animals Lives Matter Too

Hidden treasure only a short distance from home . A very unassuming entrance that Welcoms you to an up close and personal experience with the animals. Allowing you to enjoy a rare glimpse into these into there lives. To welcome us at the desk was a baby Joey in the arms of an employee for all to see and touch. The staff is incredibly friendly and engaging catering to the positive interactions between children and these beautiful creatures. I would strongly recommend anyone with younger children make a trip to visit this zoo!! We have visited both Toledo Detroit in San Diego zoos and I can honestly tell you this Is a much better bang for the buck!!! Thank you to Joe and his wife for taking the time to share!!!! SEE YOU SOON!!

On July 6th I had taken my resident from Beacon Square Northville to Indian Creek Zoo, which is about an hour away but well worth the trip. When we arrived from the very beginning everyone was very friendly and helpful, I needed help getting our residents though the door and Joe was their to lend a hand. We had lunch and then went to see all the wonderful animals. Some of our residents are unable to walk so Joe had offered his golf cart to insure the residents could see all the animals available. Just wanted to thank everyone at Indian Creek Zoo for all your help and kindness you made a lot of seniors very happy they are still talking about their trip to the zoo today. Thanks again, Nancy Daly, Beacon Square Northville Life Enrichment Director

I see a lot of concerns about empty water and food dishes, which I asked about, they have automatic water containers that refill automatically once they get so low. And they are feed on an everyday schedule, so the empty bowls are for feeding times and if guest decide to feed them. I really like this zoo and the staff is knowledgeable, a vet on site, definitely a nice zoo. So for all the concerns about empty food and water dishes, heres your answer. True animal lovers would question and not assume! Love the animals and the zoo! Definitely a great place to take your kids

This zoo has it all!!!! If youre from the area or visiting Toledo, this is a must see attraction and its far better than the regular Toledo Zoo thats become nothing but a money making machine. This attraction has it all and within walking distance. Youre able to come close and up front with the animals and feed them too! A great place for children, grandparents, couples or singles. I am glad I learned of this amazing place and plan to visit again this week. Also, the staff is all generous and kind. Highly recommend this place for all!!!

We would have though this had just opened, but some of the gear had "since 2014". Aside from the missing signs, landscaping-in-progress, etc., this is a great little zoo. It has the feel of a petting zoo, though without too much actual petting. You get quite up close with the animals, much more than with a big zoo. On the flip side: no lions, tigers, bears, elephants, rhinos, hippos, and others Im sure. However, well worth going here sometimes, and going to the Toledo or Detroit zoo other times.

The workers are always friendly and has held my children up so they could pet the giraffe and gave them lettuce to feed the kangaroos. They are always adding to the zoo and improving it. We would rather go to this zoo than the Toledo Zoo as it is smaller to walk around with two, 2 year old toddlers. The goats are friendly and always hungry for you to feed them. The bison is also very friendly and loves to be pet. We will continue to go back year after year.

Just visited this charming zoo for the first time yesterday. Took my 3 year old and his grandparents. We were actually surprised how many animals they had. We spent about an hour there. His favorite parts were the adorable 2 week old baby bobcat, the giraffe, and of course feeding the goats! I would definitely recommend to anyone with young children, or for a quiet zoo experience. Well be looking into their birthday party options!

What a surprise to find a zoo rather hidden away in a wooded area just across the state line in Temperance MI. Indian Creek Zoo is a pretty neat place. You can even ride a camel for a small fee. Then there are some exotic birds, monkeys, pot belly pigs, a reindeer, giraffes, zebras, wallabys and lots more to see. Prices are very affordable.

This was a nice zoo day! We frequently visit the Toledo Zoo so I was sceptical of this little zoo, but I am pleasantly surprised! The animals seemed alert and well taken care of. You could see the animals much closer and even pet them! We pet the giraffe and it was incredible! We will be going back here again!

I love the closer interaction with the animals. I went their with my sons boy scout troop. We were able to make the animals enrichment boxes, and then gave them to the animals. Their birthday party packages are reasonable too. The gift shop is very well priced. My family and I cant wait to go back.

Friendly staff, clean grounds, and something new each time I visit. Kids can touch bunnies and feed alpacas, sheep, and goats. The white buffalo and the brown and white camel with blue eyes are my favorite animals. Any day is a good day to visit his intimate zoo.

This zoo is a hidden gem. Its a big loop with so much to see, perfect for a two hour fun time with small kids or school-aged ones. The only downside is there arent any bathrooms or places to sit or wash hands except at the welcome center.

Small, but animals are up close and personal. Inexpensive as compared to major zoos. If you want to have lunch while you are there, bring your own. They only offer small snacks (chip, granola bars, etc.) and beverages.
