We regularly attend movies at the Hastings Cinema. We havent found the popcorn (our #1 test) to be the best, but it is a good environment. We havent noticed any smells but from concessions. And we do like to meet friends to attend movies. The seats are fine, the theatres are clean and we havent had any bad experiences at all. We are somewhat dismayed by the clear lack of theatre-goers. We are wondering if all theatres are experiencing this drop in attendance or is it the Hastings theatre in particular?

Went to see the first showing of the first Hobbit movie in Dec 2012. Staff and patrons were all in a good mood at this special midnight showing. The staff was courteous and friendly and set the tone for a good time with other Tolkien fanatics! All the treats were fresh but no more expensive than at any other theatre. My seat was unobstructed by the tall guy sitting in front of me. It was a cold December night but the temperature in the theater was fine. Ill be going back.

Ive grown up watching movies at this theater, Ive probably seen 80% of the movies Ive watched at theaters, at this theater. They rock, theyll bring your food to you if your running late to a showing and the food isnt ready yet, their prices Now, are sooo reasonable and fair and cheap. I love going there it is like my sanctuary from the toils of life... Keep up the good work Marcus at Hastings.

Great staff, very clean, great prices, and Tuesdays are awesome. Im not sure why more people dont come here because its a great little theater that still has 9 screens. We have only had good experiences. Hopefully they are able to keep the doors open.

Ive been going to this theatre for 20 years and I think its just right. The prices are good (especially for matinees), its never overly crowded and the popcorn is great. All they need now is to upgrade to the cushy reclining seats!

I went on a Tuesday night and saw Doctor Strange in 3D for $6. What a great price for a nice, well-kept theater. The staff were all very friendly, which is what ultimately led to a 5-star experience.

I probably go there once every week, and everything is just great! The food, the staff, and even the seating (even though they dont have the Dream Loungers yet) is better than other theatres.

Its a smaller theater but its never crowded and MUCH cheaper than AMC in Inver Grove... I especially like the Tuesday discounts...its worth the longer drive when paying for multiple people

Comfortable seating, mini donuts and friendly staff. The theatre is nearly empty during the day week days so you dont have to worry about people taking during the movie. Go here regularly.
